The source that told TMZ told them that Rose’s middle name “Bean” is actually referencing the 70s gay singer Carl Bean who Gaga references on her 2011 song Born This Way. 🥹 I kinda was wondering what it was referencing myself and then it clicked. So her first child’s name is a wink at Born This Way. You can never make me dislike this woman. That is the most simple, sweetest, thoughtful, meaningful without-trying-too-hard name ever. It’s perfect. I wonder if that girl will even fully understand the weight of what her name means to so many people and so many young gay and trans kids across the world. She is gonna be just as nice as her momma, though. I just know it.

Being Swedish, I'm so proud of our girl, not only taking the fight against rightwing rasists and capitalists in Sweden but worldwide. Once I was scared that her being outspoken would hurt her career, but it seems the world is ready for that now.

Honestly even with all the messiness the fact that Macklemore just saying “Free Palestine” in a concert has actually resulted in $4 million dollars suddenly being donated with a lot of attention being paid to the issue is kind of crazy proof of how powerful and effective even a small gesture like that can actually be.

This is actually incredibly smart of them. It allows the secret to be out without ever saying a word. She never has to say a word while no longer staying hidden, and because it isn't “confirmed” the baby is protected in a sense from the media. Also, I am obsessed with her little name being Rose! How sweet! La Vie En Rose and so many other mentions from Gaga with roses, but also her grandmothers middle name was Rose. Cynthia’s mom was Veronica Rose and she went by Ronnie.

That makes so much sense, she went completely silent in June. The last event she’s done before welcoming her baby was Mayhem Requiem release. She described the show as „closing a chapter” - it looks like that chapter contained more that Mayhem the album, but the entire history of Lady Gaga we knew so far. Her music is connecting to the younger generation though. She’s had at this point 8 or 9 songs go hugely viral on social media (Human Nature is currently) and her catalogue streams continue to go up. Around the time CII dropped, she was at a peak of 52m monthly listeners, putting her in the top 40 artists in the world on Spotify. Is that gonna translate to VMA viewers? Well no. Even if it was Taylor Swift it wouldn’t because the show itself is the problem. But Madonna absolutely is gaining an audience with younger folks more and more as time passes.

Tbh, I understand the necessity for the distinction. She has been completely silent on the issue and could EASILY make a statement now, especially post-Macklemore incident. I don't believe even for a SECOND that she is a 'vocal Zionist' as I don't see her pulling a lead singer from Disturbed and signing bombs to be dropped in Gaza. I don't see her pulling a Boy George and "recording" a Reggae song that peddles Israeli propaganda. HOWEVER I think she has settled into places where Israeli money has purchased her silence. I still have my criticisms of her activism up to this point while she remains silent on the subject. It's a NASTY look right now
