  5. It's not a good song or video, or an "iconic" dance. So I'm glad there was no Emmy for this - it leaves room for her an Emmy being for a project deserving of it.

  6. Democratic candidate for Governor Amy Acton, (former Head of the Department of Health), who is running against Republican Pharma Billionaire Vivek Ramaswamy in the hotly contested state of Ohio, was attacked this evening. A man wielding brass knuckles, a knife, and a gun jumped up and injured two senior citizens and jumped them and began lunging toward Acton while she was giving a speech. link: https://fox8.com/news/multiple-people-injured-after-armed-suspect-lunges-at-amy-acton-at-canfield-fair-spokesperson/amp/

  7. It's his Dear Mr. President, even if you don't like it If some Israelis and Jews feels uneasy with his speech and the images of the backdrop, maybe he's actually doing something right.. because they should feel ashamed and uneasy to see what happened to Gaza, despite 7th October, it's time for them to realize that one tragedy is not greater than the other just because there's a Jewish stamp on it.

  8. When Katy Perry sold her catalog to Litmus Music for an estimated $225 million, ownership shifted to an investment firm backed by the massive private-equity giant The Carlyle Group. Once a private equity firm owns a catalog, they treat it like any other asset portfolio: they need to maximise their return on investment. The way they do that directly influences what you see on apps like Amazon Music.Firms like Litmus Music employ dedicated marketing teams to actively pitch these songs for movies, TikTok trends, commercials, and streaming playlists. Private equity firms have immense financial leverage and corporate connections. They negotiate directly with tech companies and streaming platforms to ensure their assets get prime real estate (like curated banners and autoplay priority). By actively funding or pushing a song like The One That Got Away into viral status on social media, the owners trick the streaming algorithms into thinking there is a organic surge in demand, which forces Amazon Music to serve it to more listeners. So, while it might feel "suspicious" from a listener's perspective, it is a highly calculated, aggressive corporate marketing push to recoup that $225 million investment.

  12. President Donald Trump has already changed the name of the Gulf of Mexico and Lake Ontario, and now he’s targeting a US state for a rebrand. Trump is spending the holiday weekend dreaming up his next demand to relabel America’s geography. He posted a map on Truth Social Sunday afternoon of New Mexico, but the word Mexico was crossed out and replaced with America. 14. She, like, didn’t even campaign for it at all. Remember yall, a huge chunk of these awards are all about how you play their politics.

  18. This fan base will be a dumpster fire if the first album she goes in big for an anniversary edition is Joanne. Kind of want it to happen

  19. I like the idea, but Gaga has always seemed interested in moving forward and not reliving things? I know Born This Way got a lot of anniversary stuff, but realistically, its the album she will be most remembered for and fully expresses who she is and what she stands for. I adore the Joanne album - its actually one of my favorites, but this would kinda feel like pandering to something that seems to be on the way out anyway.

  20. well I guess she was right in saying that the kids don't wanna dance after all...

  21. okay can I finally ask what the f*%& the lyrics mean like, is she already dead? and is the music bringing her back from the dead? or did she already come alive after she was killed, so now she's undead? but she's going to dance until she dies, for potentially the second time? like WHAT (you don't have to answer, just know this bothers me every time I listen to it 😭)

  24. Because it is the lead of the era. dwas had it’s own mini era but still part of the album, treat it like a bonus track without the ‘bonus track’ label. for example, Janet’s Doesn’t Really Matter was released as the Nutty Professor 2 song, and the All For You was the lead of the album, but still DRM was part of the album but was never treated as the lead.

  25. Exactly because how tf would disease be the first single if dwas was the first single lol

  26. HIV status can be made public on the dating app. That wasn't the issue. The legal case was about the previous owner of Grindr selling *all* user data including HIV status to 3rd party advertisers and other companies.

  27. I’ve told this story in more detail b4 but during ARTPOP met her after an ARTRAVE & literally right after lining up so everyone could get their picture w/ her I *while trying to puke into a garbage can* Ended up getting covered in puke T.T freshly 18, so many emotions, but just get back into line and when it my turn to enter she like went for an instant hug, and ofc not going to just let someone hug you when you know, you’re covered in puke.. Yet after stopping her & explaining, uk a normal reaction could’ve been oh god thx for the heads up, or even ew, or so many ways & a lot of them even being justified but Not Gaga - She just went ‘i don’t care, you just went hard during my show, come here! & Then straight into squeeeeze hugging me — Just surreal moment, the complete opposite of never meet your idols.. & right away afterwords it like cemented her into my heart. Bc seriously ik I also try to spread positivity & kindness, but if someone tells me they are covered in puke as I was about to hug them, I’d take step back say oof thx for the heads up, and carry on.. Gaga just Born That Way xD + to answer if kindness always been associated in general, I’d say yes. Prior to born this way she was very loud advocate for the gay community in general, & then Born this way speaks for itself but actually I’d say right around the announcement of Born This Way at the vma’s could be considered the starting point to kindness being incorporating into the brand that is ‘Lady Gaga’ ?

  32. Lots of people are Jewish but they still know right from wrong and are speaking out against Netanyahu. For several years now, Israelis have been holding massive protests in Israel's largest cities against Netanyahu and the war with Gaza.

  33. I think she had a persona during certain interviews, specifically The Fame perfume lmao, but she was always kind, smart, quick witted. Whenever there's stories of her pre-blowing up she is always regarding in a high way. you can't be mean and nasty while performing in an IKEA parking lot! She was a gracious, hardworking diva

  35. As we all know Joanne’s 10th anniversary is quickly approaching. While some would prefer to not know Joanne. Joanne served as not only a more personal album with a more stripped down approach but also as an album that was intended to appeal to conservatives/maga sensibilities but with a very liberal message. Reclaiming a sense of patriotism and representation of this country but with more inclusive values. Gaga at the time was heavily campaigning for Hillary Clinton. The album itself sparked a hit single, Super Bowl performance, Coachella show, tour, and Netflix documentary. She would go on to surprise audiences with ASIB, smash songs such as Shallow and ARUTW, and the rest of the soundtrack. Other songs similar to that format such as Die With A Smile and Hold My Hand would also resonate well with the general public. Finally, other pop stars such as Miley, Kesha, and Beyonce would go on to release their own country/americana albums. The album itself borrowed a lot of influence from classic rock, country, singer-songwriter, and other Americana influences. Country music is currently at an all time high in popularity. Alternatively MAGA is also at an all time low in popularity. There would be no better time then now to release the album in terms of it resonating with the general public. Anniversary albums lately have really been catching on. Mariah Carey has been releasing them for years now with unreleased tracks and updated vocals added to them. Beyonce just released B’day featuring unreleased tracks and new remixes. Taylor Swift went through and re-recorded almost all of her songs with new vocals as well as adding unreleased tracks. Gaga herself for BTW 10 had some covers from popular artists on it. Joanne was Gaga’s first album under new management so this is the first album which could have unreleased tracks added to it. I would also love to see her invite other artists onto the album to remix her tracks on the album that fit the theme and ambition behind Joanne. Here are some I’d love to see: - Stevie Knicks- this entire time album is heavily influenced by her and how Gaga sings the tracks. - Bruce Springsteen- someone who Gaga and her father really admired growing up and could fit stylistically on the album. - Los Lobos- Classic Rock Latino band from LA that has combined and spanned and fused different genres such as Classic Rock, Country, Americana, Tex-Mex and many other Latin genres. They had a few major hits and are still producing music today. - Beyonce- inviting Cowboy Carter would be a nice touch for the both of them. Although I still want an original song from them(on Act 3) - Miley- Dolly’s god daughter. Has dabbled in country, pop and classic rock. Gaga has defended her a few times during public scrutiny and Miley has expressed admiration from her in the past. - Kesha- she is from TN and has dabbled in country music. Her legal drama with Dr. Luke led to the cancellation of the Joanne World Tour. Unsure if Gaga would be up for that. - Chappel Roan- lots of mutual respect. popular, younger LGBT artist that has been inspired by Gaga and has dabbled in country music, rock and pop. - Shaboozey- popular and continuing Beyoncé’s mission of reclaiming country music for Black people. - Lil Nas X- made it big off of Old Town Road as well as other hits and he is a big fan of Gaga’s. He might be too problematic but I could see Gaga having some compassion given he’s a black LGBT artist that is working on his mental health issues. - Darius Rucker- Lead singer of Hootie and the blowfish with several hits in the 90s. Went on to have a successful solo country career as a black artist in the mid 2000s. - Brother’s Osbourne- first major country artist to come out as Gay in 2021 with some hits in the mid 2010s. - The Chicks- major artists who’s careers were cancelled by conservatives for speaking up against the Iraq war and George Bush. - Kacey Musgraves- country artist that has always been pretty inclusive and representative of the values Gaga cares about. -Tame Impala- he co-produced Perfect Illusion and is currently at an all time popularity with Dracula and his work with Dua Lipa on Radical Optimism. Maybe a remix of Perfect Illusion. - Beck- Gaga is a huge fan and he produced Dancing in Circles. - Ricky Martin- only because Dancing in Circles reminds me a lot of Livin La Vida Loca, the two performed at the superbowl this year, he’s LGBT, and undertone commentary of Puerto Rico/Latin influence in America. - Carin Leon- trying to popularize the fusion of country music and Latin music. Has collaborated with Kacey Musgraves and Kane Brown in the past. - Orville Peck- prominent LGBT country star. In terms of promotion, she could play a short limited run of shows in some areas of America that she overlooked for her past few tours such as Nashville, Denver, and other more red/conservative state areas and/or middle America. It could work on multiple levels as it would appeal to fans who maybe haven’t gotten a chance to see her, appeal to a new audience, and area of the country that you are trying to have your music/message reach to. Her setlist could include Joanne album, Shallow, ARUTW, BTW Country Roads, You & I, Hold My Hand, Die With A Smile, Blade of Grass and a few other select songs from TF/TFM. I think in general this would all be too much but I’d love to see her go all out.

  37. A while ago I read the testimony she gave and it was one of the funniest things I have ever read, i was cry laughing. She was so pissed and I know she would not say half of those things she said back then today but I am glad that exists and it shows if she is pushed she can have some not so kind moments (sometimes justifiably so).
