Her music has never been all that experimental and it doesn't need to be to be good. Her biggest asset to her songwriting is her ear for great hooks and catchy phonic sounds, which are more pop assets than anything else. I'm glad she's not feeling the need to be musically avant garde anymore (which again she never was, but kinda postured to be for a minute), because when she's relaxed and chill like Mayhem, things fall into place readily. Push yourself, but also know your strengths and preferences.

Okay on lighter themes, DWAS is a really great gp spong! I don't get yhe hate . Also Harlequin as a collection of Jazz standards is more Gaga and better produced than all of Joanne. I'm kinda tired of the lack of support to female creatives, closest she's kinda came to it was on Dawn of Chromatica, but I kinda can't say it counts since that was more of Bloodpops doing.. like she has the power to chose and work with any possible female musician,producer, film maker snd artist, but always choses the most basic mainstream men. Also in terms of opening acts she could give space for up and coming artists. The other thing is kind of her everyday relationship to fans. Sorry but it doesn't take much to make a story celebrating pride. It doesn't take much effort to wish people happy holidays, posting stories mainly when she's trying to sell something is so cringe. Even during most of the Mayhem era it was kinda dead until the day of release of whatever it was. This, so much. I kinda get annoyed with Shadow Of A Man for this reason. Surely Gaga has enough sway to pick female collaborators and projects that put women in the forefront. It's just that she likes to work with big name directors and producers, and sadly the top % of popular names is still mostly male. Same goes for the roles she picks. There's a plethora of directors and scripts that feature interesting female leads, that would definitely benefit from having someone of Gaga's caliber join the cast. But those aren't the roles she picks - it's always the woman suffering in the shadow of a man. With the platform she has, she can put so many female creatives on the map. Yet men continue to play most major roles in her material. It's time for her to put her money where her mouth is when picking her next collaborators.

All three of her jazz albums are better than at least two of her pop albums.
