  1. He definitely wasn't great at what he does, because Gaga's physical and mental health should've been his top priority over selling albums Edit: It's easy to milk an artist dry and then leave with your pockets filled when there's no more left to take.

  2. *Ten years and a week lol. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/music/music-news/lady-gaga-perfect-illusion-announcement-920371/ Ten years ago on August 17th, 2016, Lady Gaga announced Perfect Illusion as the lead single from her then untitled fifth studio album. It was her first pop single release in two and half years since G.U.Y. from ARTPOP. Although the song charted moderately after release, it did peak at number one on Billboard and Twitters Top Tracks charts due to hype following the announcement, and the song peaking so high before even being released is a rare achievement. ---- I still remember EXACTLY where I was when I saw the announcement. I'm on mobile so I can't really post it, but I still remember the colorful announcement gif with the sliding text so well.

  3. because at that time, she felt she was being used to sell products now she feels in control of her businesses rather than a money machine i don't get why fans find this hard to realise

  7. To be honest - their country, their rules - others should comply, not to sound Islamophobic. If they can't or don't want to comply, that's their problem. Coming to another country - follow the rules

  8. Both ridiculous re: religious liberty and also from a public health standpoint. A sick person can’t wear a mask in public? Like what are we doing here

  9. Not really surprised to see @Creyk agreeing with someone espousing ethnonationalism tbh. Among their myriad bad takes, apparently religious bigotry is another of them (and I say this as someone who doesn’t even like religion, I just believe in civil liberty). Same person who also claimed that Trump won in 2024 because of online wokeness or some bullsh*t lmao

  17. I mean, it was only a bit of zappy, lightning, yet she still decided to close the whole show early, just before "Enigma"? Why was Gaga trying to be so safe in this situation? Isn't she a pop star, not a health inspector? Did she genuinely care about the well being of the humans? Was she trying to follow WHS procedures? Was she intimadated by Ariana's reign? Was it a sine from above...

  18. Why do you need to identify people? Mind your own business and don't lick the boots of the surveillance state. People have the right to be anonymous and if the authorities can't tell the difference between a woman wearing a burqa and a suspicious person that poses a danger to those around them or is up to no good then those authorities should find different jobs.

  23. Non-GenAI, like the one they're using, requires far fewer resources and much less power than genAI. They'll likely produce no more waste than just standard computers which, if we're shaming them for that, we're all guilty Predictive AI doesn't require the hardware turnover that produces a ton of electronic waste, it doesn't produce nearly the same amount of carbon emissions, and it's cooled locally the same way any GPU would be.

  25. I’m gonna be honest. Mayhem. Its not a bad album but I wanted her to have a record like Disease-Abracadabra-Perfect Celebrity- Happy Mistake. the cheese michael added felt like a generic version of Gaga being forced to make the original LG5 for fan-fodder. she should have stuck more with the crazy mistress thing and called the album something more thought provoking. Her concepts used to be stronger.

  26. Portugal's President António Jose Seguro has enacted a law banning face coverings in public spaces. "The face must be considered a central element of human identity and communication," Seguro said in a statement late Tuesday. The legislation, dubbed the "burqa law" by local media, was approved by parliament in July with the support of the governing right-wing coalition and far-right parties. Left-wing parties voted against it. The law prohibits clothing designed to conceal the face or prevent identification in public spaces. It also bans forcing someone to cover their face for reasons related to gender, religion, age or origin. https://www.euronews.com/my-europe/2026/08/20/portugal-enacts-burqa-law-banning-face-coverings-in-public-space

  27. Lady Gaga's former manager and ARTPOP enemy, Troy Carter, praises the 16-time Grammy Award winner in a new interview. The 53-year-old Spotify sabotager gave a new interview with Doja Cat's manager, Gordon Dillard, where he revealed that, when Academy Award winner Lady Gaga was presented with the opportunity to work with the biggest manager in the world at the time, early in her career, the one-step-away-from-EGOT singer turned down the offer and chose to stay with future ARTPOP deserter Troy Carter Thoughts?

  33. “The cheese that Michael added” I really hate the tendency this fanbase has to give Gaga 100% of the credit when she does something they like and then pawn off what they perceive as missteps on someone else. She cannot simultaneously have all the power but also answer to others. She made the decisions on what songs were on the track list. She made the decisions a lot of us don’t like. Not Michael, not her management. She has the ability to decline doing anything she doesn’t want to and has done so.

  34. Oh, I know it's not. I'll never understand how anyone can have contempt for entire groups of people but man, growing up in Florida and hearing everything from "towel heads" to "sand n-words" gave me such a specific ick about people coming for Arabs/Muslims. I despise religion with all my heart but I consider all religions equally ridiculous. Islamic people (of which there are A BILLION) are no better or worse than any other group of people but they are pretty uniquely brutalized in Europe and the US because of how stupid Europeans and Americans tend to be.
