  15. You may not have liked it but TDWP2 was probably the best sequel for a nostalgia bait imo. I loved the original and loved the sequel. But other than that I do agree to a degree.

  21. She’s done pretty much everything on this list, but the only thing I don’t want her to do is techno because techno is meant to be repetitive and vibe-y. I also notice most of the genres this site hates seem to be ones made or driven by predominantly black or queer artists Like hip-hop, HYPERPOP, house and DnB.

  22. Maybe it's time for this genius, the Mozart of our generation, the one and only, THE Beyonce.. to finally write her own music and stop pretending that she does, while sampling every breathing creature on earth.

  23. I voted pop/ electronic because I would love to hear her branch out from just doing pop (Joanne and her jazz efforts are all still pop don't even start with me)

  24. There could be a 100 threads in a room and 99 little monsters don't believe in Joanne but she only needs 1 (good reason to stay) to believe, and that is me

  26. I definitely would say yes… The Fame has that electric, fun energy The Fame Monster is a classic Born This Way is a classic ARTPOP is electric, chaotic (in the best way), and aggressive (again in a good way) Joanne is reflective and emotional and totally different than the rest Chromatica is bright and shiny but also reflective and emotional MAYHEM has the best dance-pop she’s made since ARTPOP and has some amazing both emotional and fun moments

  27. I take issue with this number 'cause we know 139 of them are other people's songs and she was just an accessory to the track And I take issue with this 'cause YUCK

  28. I'm sorry, any "best artist list" that doesn't have MJ at least in the top 5 when nearly EVERY pop star today is channeling his influence is a joke Having Taylor on this list (at 24 but still) and no Gaga? Also a joke Hate Madonna but she and Michael are in the top 5 objectively.

  32. A company called Hirose Enterprise and a producer named Shuji Hirose are suing Beyoncé, Parkwood Entertainment, Sony for alleged copyright infringement. Shuji Hirose says it owns the rights to a song titled "Moonraker," performed by a musician named John Holiday. The company says Beyoncé sampled the “spoken-word introduction” of the song "Alien Superstar," which was released on her 2022 album "Renaissance." The suit claims Beyoncé and her team did not obtain a license at all for the use of the sample before the release but did obtain one weeks after the album release but only from the performer Holiday, who Hirose claims had transferred his entire interest in the song decades earlier. Hirose says it put Beyoncé’s company is on notice about the infringement but has continued to sell the record. The company is seeking an injunction to stop Beyoncé from continuing to make money off their work and for unspecified damages.

  33. Spin has ranked Madonna as the 4th greatest musician of the last 40 years. Their write-up is great: Madonna changed the world. Bruce Springsteen may have been the biggest rock star in the ’80s (and may still be) but Madonna was the biggest star. No movie star, director, painter, writer or other musician created the tsunamic wake she did when she floated into and out of a country. Crowds the size of those who came to see the Pope greeted her when she arrived in a city like Rome, besieging her hotel. (When she later played Evita in a movie, that role was a step down from the adulation she witnessed in real life.) Her music was great but that alone didn’t create the rip in the cultural space-time continuum. She was a liberator. She was 100 percent who she wanted to be and who she said she was, which was more than refreshing, it was, then, society-tearing down. Love her or hate her, she was equally happy with either reaction. She freed sex from the prissy cotton wool Reagan’s America was wrapping it back in. Nothing she did was as outrageous as the next thing she did. She was a sustained cultural orgasm. She coincided with MTV’s rise perfectly, and defined them as much as they helped define her. Her videos were small movies — some R-rated level and banned — and they were great! Her songs and videos were controversial on multiple levels, including the tremendous furor that “Like a Prayer” caused for using Christian crosses and kissing the statue of a Black saint. She sold more than 300 million records, but that’s beside the point. Madonna more embodied the spirit of rock ‘n roll than rock stars. She was nobody’s fool, and still isn’t. full article:https://www.spinmagazine.com/2025/11/40-greatest-musicians-of-the-last-40-years-40-to-31/?fbclid=IwdGRleATnBPdwZG9mBWZkaWQWUMPpLBIQE03y9v4kAdLS6QXz5kjeZGV4dG4DYWVtAjExAHNydGMGYXBwX2lkCjY2Mjg1NjgzNzkAAR68oeKi7Z4KJsA3Mt5P5ubqtDg2E0kmhqMuAq8j96apmnnypmooU6xkXqSf1Q_aem_rBhPKccStmVhhRocZAmd0A

  34. Nah, obviously at least 94 LM's are needed as we have you, me and @RochesterJoannster for starters. Oh, and @PartySick. And @Ladle Ghoulash, highly likely. EDIT: @blueberry kisses as well! And everyone picking "yes" in this poll. ...Why am I demolishing Gaga's ASIB campaign slogan now, again? Oh yeah, so she doesn't need to feel unrequited love for Bradley Cooper to have faith in herself...just more...Stans. Logic? Foolproof. *checking own temperature*
