Paul Kemsley, George’s manager, released a statement on social media that he had decided that the Culture Club singer would no longer appear in the production at the London Palladium. “The decision has been made with the utmost respect for the producers, the creative team and the entire company,” he wrote, apologizing to fans who had purchased tickets in hopes of seeing the show. George has never been afraid to stand by his personal convictions, and I have always respected him for that. Equally, I believe it is my responsibility to make decisions that are in the best interests of my artist while also showing respect to others. In this instance, I felt it was right to step aside, allowing the production to remain the focus, while ensuring everyone involved can move forward with mutual respect and goodwill.”15 points

I was doing a CD package design for my portfolio and choose Chromatica as a digipack with an alternate cover and design, (the OG cover is impossible to replace with any photo of the shoot so I chose one that maybe could work as an alt cover) What do you guys think?14 points

Plastic Doll* honey In my personal opinion the "Who dressed you where'd you get that hat, why's she crying what's the price tag who's that girl Malibu Gaga? Looks so sad what is this saga?" Is a well written lyric, y'all just hate Chromatica for no reason.14 points

She's very clever and efficient. She can write amazing hooks and really smart wordplay. That said, I do think her storytelling in the past few years could use some love. Some of the concepts feel a bit surface-level, and I wish she'd push her ideas further. She's sometimes a little too efficient in her songwriting; for someone who used to be such a maximalist, she's so edited and curated now I've been missing her twisted sensibilities a bit. Songs like Hold my hand, Shape of a Woman, and even some songs on Mayhem are very straightforward, I miss the half psychotic sick hypnotic and the skeleton guns of it all you know?14 points

Oh this casting eats and idk why I never thought of it before... Tbh, I want Gaga to avoid MCU/DCU roles like the plague. Get her to work with an auteur who knows how to properly write for and utilize her.13 points

Katy being on the same level as Gaga, Taylor, and Beyonce is crazy12 points

I miss her metaphorical writing but in a world where the greatest songwriting alive is recognized as Taylor swift, I’d hardly call Gaga mediocre11 points

She has a song called "Can't Get You Outta My Head," but somehow they forgot THEE Kylie Minogue11 points

She has her highlights but yeah she's better to find great melodies Mayhem is her weakest in term of lyrics and to me Monster is her best one8 points

Til it Happens to You gives me the ick from a lyrical point of view honestly. Just the title alone is so incredibly ominous. It seems to be saying that in order to understand what a sexual assault victim is going through, you have to wait until it happens to you, hence the title, as if it's some required future occurence. A less ominous way of phrasing would be "unless it happens to you" but even that seems to be excluding of people who have suffered other forms of abuse and trauma who might be able to empathize with a rape survivior nonetheless I know fully that this is not what Gaga intended when she sang it, I just wish the song would have been entirely different. Diane Warren made a very peculiar choice8 points

No artist only has amazing songs. She’s doing great. As someone said, her biggest strength is her melodies. She also creates amazing hooks and draws clear pictures. Look at Bad Romance. You can clearly tell the lyrics weren’t written by Shakespeare and yet, it’s still a fabulous song. It has its own world, its revolutionary hooks and super strong melody. I do feel that she neglects her lyrics or melodies every now and then, but it’s quite rare. Most of her songs are really solid. And after all, not everyone will enjoy the same songs. And at the end of the day, the best song of all time will be bad if the singer doesn’t use the right emotion. She writes songs for herself, you can’t fully dissociate her songwriting and vocal performance. Sometimes, the voice tells more than the lyrics.6 points

What’s the context because you can tell a millennial white gay made this. the concept of Cher being UNDER Madonna or having JANET JACKSON and WHITNEY HOUSTON under her is wild6 points

Samara Weaving aka Kylie Minogue look-alike While there was no mention of any X-Men at Hall H this past weekend, Marvel Studios seems to be getting closer to forming its team of Mutants, as sources tell Deadline Samara Weaving is the choice to play Emma Frost in Marvel Studios upcoming X-Men movie. After meeting with a number of candidates, director Jake Schreier and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige landed on Weaving earlier this week to tackle the role of Frost. Marvel had no comment on the casting. https://deadline.com/2026/07/x-men-samara-weaving-emma-frost-marvel-studios-1237013568/ GAGA LOST THE ROLE, SHE'S GONNA BE DAZZLER AND SING SH-T AGAIN, MAYBE IDK5 points

I'd also like to add how 50 thousand people coming at once to another country can only be readed as a coordinated movement by others above them — they, as individuals, do not have the resources nor the skills to act like that. I hope we all agree on that. Please, do not get this as "people wanting to do it the illegal way". They were used. We're in such a dystopic situation, not even the scariest plot could have predicted it. I hate to say it but scary times are upon us.5 points

This is clearly a coordinated attack by Morocco, Israel, and the USA due to Spain’s stance on issues relating to those countries. Most obvious psyop in history.5 points

The photoshoot and aesthetic match the lyrical content. The themes of the Mayhem era through the music, artwork and performance are genuinely her most consistent era she's ever done. Y'all just genuinely have terrible media literacy.5 points

Madonna is the best selling female artist of all time. She’s ranked together with MJ, Elvis and The Beatles. She has set the blueprint for female popstars. She is a very outspoken advocate for gay rights. One of the best performers with a deep level of high quality artistry. Yes, #1 rightfully earned.5 points

Cher along with Donna Summer cracked the door that Madonna steam rolled down tbh. Donna was literally a pioneer in the concept of “era” in pop music, created the first pop dance album and put female sexuality into mainstream music and Cher was also part of the female sexuality and feminist push in pop culture wayyy before Madonna.5 points

Mayhem the songs themselves are not that chaotic..most are very normal and tame bops. Killah maybe is the standout in that regard? But then we got how bad, don’t call, lovedrug, garden of Eden, zombie boy, shadow, etc all very very not “maaayhem!!!!!!!$/8/);&(9(((&:$/&:;($ahshdifjd” you know what I mean? Like doesn’t mayhem mean chaos madness crazy wild? None of those songs are crazy or wild (oh also I’m disregarding the deluxe tracks cause they did not make it onto the official tracklist) also the first visuals for mayhem, the disgusting makeup n everything for the deluxe album cover photo shoot and disease MV..but then the majority of the songs are cute and pretty and then abracadabra was an amazing second single but nothing else on the album sounded like it and she never gave another MV even close to as good as it..5 points

Hey my french, german, spanish, polish and italian Monsters, Arte released a new & interesting 50min documentary of Lady Gaga with some insights of people that worked with her. The german Designer of Gaga's "Gimp of the Garden" look, as well as the designer from her "LED Enigma look" share new insights. Apart from that, this documentary really shows how political Gaga as an artist is, and really depicts her as more than just a musician but a full on Artist tha influenced the world and queer community for the better. I hardly recommend to watch it! Unfortunately, the Documentry is only available in french, german, spanish, polish & italian. Enjoy https://www.arte.tv/de/videos/128082-000-A/lady-gaga-my-songs-my-life/4 points

I think she’s doing it on purpose who approved her to wear this? I think she wants people to notice it and talk about it. Seeing her like this is extremely concerning and I think it absolutely should be talked about and brought to everybody around her’s attention… why should we normalize it and just say “wow talking about it means you’re a bad person!!!”4 points

It’s a fair score IMO, not quite sure what she was going for tbh. It’s just not coherent and exciting, it’s really lacklustre.4 points

This will only continue to get worse as Western nations continue to destabilize the global south and western Asia and put economic interests over political stability and mitigating climate change. If Western nations were wise, we would pull out of forever wars, promote economic cooperation, and engage in and promote infrastructure revitalization before the climate crisis and political polarization/instability becomes worse. But we aren't, so we won't.4 points
