  3. Incredible news, Jesy has been campaigning for this and attended Parliament recently to push for this 👏 — ALL babies in England will get free NHS tests for the muscle wasting disease suffered by Jesy Nelson's twins following a campaign by the Little Mix star. In a breakthrough rule change, screening for spinal muscular atrophy will be added to the newborn blood spot test from October. The Department of Health announced on Thursday that the national newborn screening programme for SMA will be rolled out across England as part of an evaluation programme from the end of this year. Hundreds of thousands of babies will be screened as part of the simple heel prick blood test shortly after birth. Nelson said: "After years of campaigning, it means so much to see the heel prick test for SMA begin rolling out from October, with implementation continuing throughout 2027 until every newborn screening laboratory across the UK is offering the test. "Today is a day of hope. "Knowing that future families will have access to early diagnosis and the opportunity for the best possible outcomes is something I'm incredibly proud to have supported. "This is a victory for every family affected by SMA. Whilst it can't change the future of our children, I know it marks the beginning of a brighter future for future SMA families." SMA UK, the charity which Jesy is a Patron of have also posted about the news: This achievement belongs to the entire SMA community. To every family who has shared their experiences, every healthcare professional who has championed early diagnosis, every researcher who has generated theevidence, every policymaker who has listened, every partner organisation to has campaigned alongside us and every supporter who has stood alongside us, thank you. We are also grateful to Jesy Nelson for helping to shine a spotlight on SMA and the importance of newborn screening. Her willingness to share her family's experience has helped raise awareness among the wider public and has added an important voice to a campaign that has been driven by the SMA community, clinicians, researchers and supporters over many years. https://x.com/jesynelson_stan/status/2077668497459458405?s=46

  4. And I’ll bet that these two new albums will be the same album she’s released since post NFR

  5. Honey, she left the Khia Asylum for good when this album came out. She's in her own lane now.

  6. This doesnt make sense, Slayter has never had mainstream success. The Khia Aslyum is for pop stars who previously had success but no longer pull the same numbers anymore. It's somewhat similar to a one hit wonder

  7. The music has BEEN good. The fact that stans equate chart/streaming success to quality is not her ****ing problem.

  8. COADF has more standout songs, but CII is the better listening experience as an album imo

  10. 1 Year ago, the Mayhem Ball kicked off in Paradise. The tour grossed 362.9M USD over 86 shows, becoming Gaga's highest grossing tour and her first tour since the ArtRave that did not face any any major issues except for 1 cancellation. Did you go? What was your surprise song and which part did you like the most? I went to Antwerp on November 11th, Angel Down was the surprise song and I will never forget seeing Act I and LoveDrug Live

  11. She was never in the Khia Asylum to begin with because until this album put her on the mainstream radar, she never had a hit of any kind and existed as an entirely underground artist.

  14. Almost 2 years later, still a massive song. Congratulations to Mayhem’s #1 lead single that is the biggest song of the 2020s

  19. Right, right. I forgot you have the type of gay brain rot where you can only pay attention to “yes mawmaw, werq it, hunty” fierceness. I’ll be more mindful next time when responding. Sorry for any confusion, keep “slaying” or whatever

  20. Singles are stronger from COADF, but yes CII is an amazing listening experience of an album as a whole! Also CII is deeper thematically and more experimental - I loooove that about it! So I voted for CII!

  21. lol what a perfect gif too. cynthia is so extra sometimes. but also i kinda get what casual lana fans mean. lana's work stopped being cinematic and worldbuilding after NFR and leaned more into pure balladry and introspection. i absolutely love all her output because she is one of the best melodists and lyricists out there, but i get why some people feel disconnected. henry come on is my fucking jam!

  22. Even on gagadaily I can't escape people being weird about this movie. Exhausting.

  23. I never would've thought she'd become one of my favorite artists. Just amazing production and vibes from her ever since she dropped Emotion. Always excited for new music from her.

  24. I love that so many people share that feeling about that moment And then the ultimate gag when she closed the first "The Art Of Personal Chaos" show with ARTPOP itself Anyone remember the meltdown when Gaga came out for HBDYWM in her beanie and no fancy outfit? Funny how that moment of the show became so beloved as the tour went on

  25. She’s been out. She’s not meant to be a super huge pop star. She’s going to have her own level of success and I’m excited for her. Seeing her for the 4th time in September!

  28. This is great news. So we know only one or neither is going to be released and she will make a 3rd one that is announced for a mid 2027 release with a tentative October by March 2028 at the latest.

  29. So she has two albums to push back constantly instead of just one! How exciting

  30. I'm not voting. Confessions 2 is a better "album", i have more desire to listen to it as a complete piece. Its cohesive and flows sonically and thematically from start to finish. Mayhem has better songs. Its highs beat all the Confessions tracks for me. But I don't like to listen to it as an album from start to finish, it doesn't flow well and lacks the cohesion I enjoy in an album experience.

  34. she's giving more of an artist with a cult following like Charli, FKA Twigs or even LDR and not a mainstream pop girl like Ariana or Sabrina
    3 points
  35. I remember being awake early European time and screamed when she added Lovedrug AND Applause AND Just Dance to the setlist, definitely my favourite part of the show!! I was lucky to attend Stockholm night 2 and Lyon night 2, once in GA right (or left, whatever that mix up in Stockholm was) and once seated. Absolutely incredible both times, and for sure the best show she has ever done

  36. CF II easily, much better album, more diverse, sophisticated, more personal.
    3 points
  37. More emotionally evocative, more varied, imo more sonically interesting. COADF is decent/good, but is largely emotionally sterile. Well constructed album and great tour, but I, ironically, think the critique you laid out for the sequel absolutely applies to the original: people were praising a decent/good pop record because it was a return to form and I think it’s been largely overrated in hindsight and that probably at least partially colors my fatigue surrounding the album. I also think Hung Up is insanely overrated. But ramblings aside: the new album just feels more emotionally relevant to where I am in my life and the OG has just never really clicked with me emotionally in spite of it being an objectively well constructed pop record.

  38. I also honestly think Hung Up is overrated asf. Sorry, Get Together, Future Lovers, and Isaac clear.

  39. The concept of ignoring one of the best songs on the album

  40. I can't really say she was in there.. isn't the Khia for people who were once big and then lost their flare?
    3 points
  41. COADF has higher highs (Jump, Sorry, Isaac, Get Together, Future Lovers) and much lower lows (I Love New York, How High). Confessions II is a much more consistent project.

  42. Ci, nothing on Cii can beat Sorry.

  45. Tension is 3 or 4 good tracks and then pure filler. And like sonically, I feel like its 2 competing sounds at times. There's the more standard Kylie synthpop like Hold On To Now/Things We Do For Love/You Still Get Me High/Vegas High/Story but then there's the EDM tracks like Padam Padam/Tension/10 Out of 10/One More Time. Its just an album that doesn't speak in sync with itself. Like if they'd split the Tension and Tension 2 tracks differently, there's 2 synergised albums there which hits the more 90s/00s House sound and Kylie's classic Synthpop sound. Confessions 2 has its ups and downs, but works as a complete album package.

  46. Bad Romance re-enters on Spanish Spotify chart at #103 reaching a new peak It gained 70,978 streams yesterday, it previously charted only for 2 days and reached a peak of #187 with 55,598 streams

  47. I’m excited to see it but my only complaints is; only 40 cinemas worldwide can actually show his full vision because of the 4:9 IMAX format he’s chosen to shoot it in. In most cinemas it’s in 16:9 cutting off parts of the screen. Plus, Anne Hathaway clearly had Botox not long before she shot this (same for other actors) because their facial expressions are affected by it.
