Nobody at ANY age has it all figured out. If you're not allowed to date until you've "figured it out" then nobody is allowed to date ever. 22 is an adult. Treat them like one. I'm sorry but there is absolutely no way on god's green earth that you're going to convince me to be upset about a 22 year old in a relationship with another adult. This current wave of ultra puritanism is absolutely insane and it boggles my mind how people from my generation can be so sensitive to the idea of an adult being in a relationship with another adult because there's an age gap. Newsflash: age gaps do not matter in the slightest when you're 22 years old. They just don't. That is an adult. Stop acting like that's a child. It's silly and it's INCREDIBLY disrespectful to that person. It does not help them. It's not sweet. It's not a show of care. It's an overbearing farce. I'm 25 myself, so I am still a young man. But i can make my own choices, just as I did when I was 22. 22 year olds have graduated college, live on their own, have careers of their own, and in many cases are starting families or are at the very least in a committed longterm relationship. We cannot continue to infantilize people in their 20s because all it does it lay foundations to excuse them when they do things that should not be excused. If a man were to assault his partner at the age of 22, we wouldn't say "oh he's just 22 he's so young he doesn't know better" because we know that it isn't true. He does know better and should be held accountable because he is an adult. A 22 year old is an adult. You can quote the whole brain development thing to me or tell me stories about how you just don't know as much at that age as you do when you're a little older (duh), but that does not change that that is an ADULT. Not a recent adult, he has been adult for almost half a decade now. Age gaps really stop mattering once you're in your 20s, and you'll never convince me otherwise. Let adults be adults and stop treating them as if they're still teenagers. Just because you personally felt like you needed or should have a little more guidance at 22 doesn't mean everyone else at that age does. Your experiences are yours, not everyone else's. I was perfectly independent at the age of 22 and I had not needed any sort of guidance or hand holding in quite some time by then. Stop projecting whatever things or feelings you have toward your own self on everyone else.8 points

I actually don't read this as her shading Xtina at all. The pair of them were in the industry at the same time, so I think she's just comparing herself to a similar peer who was allowed freedom and could be seen going out and about while she wasn't allowed that.6 points

Respect and kindness are must when the person is good or neutral at least, but if you're actively trying to make peoples life worse and share hate, you do not deserve respect in life nor death.5 points

This person has been spouting conspiracy nonsense for several days now. Ignore them. They’re either a troll or deeply, deeply online in bad spaces. I mean saying “Epstein coded” about her dating a grown ass 22 year old man should be the first sign of ridiculousness.5 points

She has such a martyr complex in addition to victim mentality. She should talk to her therapist about that.4 points

She literally did though. This woman advocated for conversion therapy. This woman advocated against sending sexual health aids to Africa to prevent the spread of HIV & AIDS at the peak of the epidemics. She used her entire career to advocate for policies that actively harmed and killed people.4 points

Right. So you were making a comparison? Like I get what you were trying to say now, but like...you could not have been less clear4 points

22 year olds can’t purchase insurance rent a car book a hotel and plenty of other things. It’s well known the human brain isn’t done developing until around 25. But even besides that fact- any person more than double digits the senior of their partner is always going to be looked at in that manner, rightfully so. It’s predatory, regardless of gender. I feel like a lot of the people saying good for her in this thread are the same people throwing up and making jokes about Leo decap’s 25 year old girlfriend of the year. Like, do you not see the hypocrisy? Lol4 points

Pitbull and his legion of fans have set the Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people wearing bald caps at his headline BST Hyde Park show. Pitbull created a global trend in recent years which sees crowds rock up to his concerts dressed in his signature style of suits and sunglasses and, of course, wearing bald caps. Ahead of his performance at the London festival, tens of thousands of concertgoers gathered by the main stage to be officially counted. It was later confirmed to Pitbull the record had been set at 22,141 bald cap wearers, which he hailed as a "blessing" and an "honour". https://www.cbsnews.com/news/pitbull-guinness-world-record-bald-caps/3 points

That is the implication - you said in pursuit to love freely we became more capable of hate - I guess you're nitpicking the fact I said hateful instead of capable of hate? Not a particularly meaningful difference, but fine, I still disagree - I think it's an outlandish claim whichever way you spin it. I'm glad you're in the position where you can give that grace, I'm not in that position because there are currently a lot of powerful people working to diminish my rights and my experience of life as a whole - retaliating against that is only 'hateful by proxy' if you srtip all nuance. People in our community celebrate deah of people such as Ann not just because those people had a different worldview - they used their power and their voice to make our lives more difficult and more dangerous, knowing very well that was going to be the outcome. Most conservatives understand at least on some level their worldview is false and harmful to some, with more extreme contingent blatantly flaunting the fact they make up their own relaity - believing you're giving graces to people who simply 'believe what they know' is naive, and potentially dangerous, it obscures the fact they actively chose the way they behave.3 points

Anne widdecombe wouldnt stop you loving. Marriage however (which as we know it began as a religious covenant, and she is catholic) she would want to stop you from. It's an extremely common belief and in my experience it's never because they hate us (though, those people exist. I wouldn't say Ann was one) it's just what they believe. I wouldnt say that's what i'm implying at all, though I would argue that meeting people you believe are hateful where they are at IS making you more hateful by proxy. Every way I want to word my thoughts would just be taken as 'choose love guys ' or 'The far right arnt that bad ' when neither is my stance here. I give grace to older, religious generations for believing what they know to be true and people who just dont know enough yet, we're all human and have a right to exist and share how we feel, people who completely oppose my world-view are not worthy of death in my eyes so it's hard for me to grasp how normal that way of thinking is our community. But, like I said, *I cant blame you guys for that*3 points

Guys she was murdered in cold blood. You can disagree with someone, you can think they are making things harder for you, but celebrating death (least of all a murder) just makes you look sub-human to the people you're against. Pls dont celebrate this outside of this site I beg3 points
