I'm not voting. Confessions 2 is a better "album", i have more desire to listen to it as a complete piece. Its cohesive and flows sonically and thematically from start to finish. Mayhem has better songs. Its highs beat all the Confessions tracks for me. But I don't like to listen to it as an album from start to finish, it doesn't flow well and lacks the cohesion I enjoy in an album experience.

To your point, I feel like CONFESSIONS II manages to maintain a cohesive aesthetic and solid pacing while still maintaining a really refreshing amount of sonic variety. Such a fckn good album.

Yeah, I feel like the lyricism on Chromatica gets a lot of unnecessary heat. For an artist who usually layers emotions in a couple levels of metaphor, it was refreshing to hear straightforward, simple lyrics tbh. I think laying it bare/unvarnished and letting it be imperfect was a valuable exercise for her

Honestly I think releasing Under The Rhythm as a single didn't do the album justice because I pretty much prefer the rest of the album over it. I don't want to compare too much to Gaga because it's unfair but it's giving the same vibe as Disease but then spread out over a complete project - especially the first half. And he does it so well. His voice sounds great, the instrumentals are crisp, sexy and grungy. It immediately made my top 3 albums of this year. And this is my first time ever listening to a full album of his, should I stan?

I'm so glad we got Disease as the lead. I know a lot of fans don't agree but I paid Gaga's bills with that song. It was on repeat everywhere I went for the last 3 months of the year, I streamed it 3 hours a day. I have such a unique emotional tie to that song.
