Sorry to ruin everyone's day, but apparently Jim Carrey, Ron Howard & Brian Grazer are prepping a sequel to the creepy, commercially-successful live action version of How The Grinch Stole Christmas from the year 2000. Whether you enjoy that (genuinely unsettling... cult classic?) version or not... what the hell? https://deadline.com/2026/06/the-grinch-2-jim-carrey-ron-howard-universal-sequel-1236959495/8 points

You guys are so ****ing dull and boring. Just arrived from the festival and that was lowkey one of the most amazing shows I've ever experienced. She didn't stop for one minute, the setlist was literally perfect and the production and vocals were great. Also Watch It Burn is really good. So happy to have been able to watch such a great show in my hometown8 points

Oh wow. You guys weren't kidding about the MAYHEM-like font for KATHETER or whatever her real name is.8 points

Topping the Official Singles Chart for a second time running today, Taylor’s surge this week is thanks to a sell-out limited-edition range of collector CDs and vinyl. With 71,000 chart units achieved across the past seven days (combined UK sales and streams), Taylor’s Toy Story 5 hit surpasses Harry Styles’ Aperture, which earned 70,000 units in a week upon its release back in January. In terms of pure sales, it’s the biggest week of sales for a single in nearly three years, since The Beatles’ record-breaking Now And Then release in November 2023. Singles chart: 1. 71,404 Taylor Swift - I Knew It, I Knew You [42,492 CDs, 949 downloads, 27,963 streaming] 2. 53,767 Olivia Rodrigo - stupid song 3. 43,473 Olivia Rodrigo - the cure7 points

I bet her new album will be titled Katheryn, a stripped back rock-ish album like Joanne. Makes sense to do this considering she's been having an ARTPOP era for the last 3 albums.7 points

frankly, Katy is in a shockingly good position considering her shameful past few years. Delusional or not, something is really working for her and her team right now6 points

Gotta be honest, I haven’t had a positive impression of his work thus far. Most of the films he’s in that I enjoyed were notably carried by his costars, and his award campaign was a huge turn off. It’s sad to see he’s getting a bit petty about it5 points

He is only shading because he wanted the award so much and lost it. The Oscars usually hate this kinda of behavior, so maybe he won’t win anytime soon5 points

I hope you both are joking because keeping these kind of expectations in the gay dating and hookup scene, has downgraded it into what it is and no wonder gays keep complaining about each other.4 points

The way I used to be a lowkey fan of her and now I’m actively annoyed by her and will skip anything of hers that happens to auto play. I haven’t even listened to this new song once.4 points

My issue is that when dozens of variants are used to inflate a single release, it becomes harder to tell what the actual demand is. If an artist truly has that level of support, I'd be much more interested in seeing the numbers from one version of the album rather than 30+. The other issue is that it's largely the same die-hard fans buying the same album over and over again to collect every version. That's great for sales figures, but it doesn't necessarily reflect broader cultural reach or new listeners discovering the music. And let's be honest—most of those extra variants end up sitting on shelves, unopened, or eventually becoming landfill. At that point, it feels less like a measure of popularity and more like a merchandising strategy. I'd be much more impressed by the numbers if they came from a single standard release that everyone was buying rather than countless versions purchased repeatedly by the same core fanbase.4 points

The piece on his wrist was a rare 1926 Longines Monopusher Chronograph, which had been pulled from the brand’s museum in Saint-Imier solely for the occasion. The 1926, powered by calibre 13.33Z, was the first wrist chronograph movement Longines produced, introduced back in 1913. It features a spiral tachymeter scale and a single pushbutton integrated into the crown. Intact examples from this period rarely surface outside of archives. This one lives in a museum because it belongs there. For one afternoon, it was back doing what it was built to do.4 points

The New York Knicks have won their first NBA championship since 1973, and longtime fan Timothée Chalamet was on hand to watch his team secure the long-awaited title. Chalamet was seen hugging Knicks star Karl-Anthony and proclaiming to ESPN’s SportsCenter, “Way rather this than the Oscars! Come on, baby!” he said courtside at the Frost Bank Center on Saturday night, after he has failed to win the best actor Academy Award two years in a row. He can also be seen crying tears of joy in the below video https://x.com/timotheenation/status/2066025116295676404 https://variety.com/2026/film/news/timothee-chalamet-rather-knicks-championship-than-oscar-1236781034/4 points

This is going to be a pretty unpopular opinion, I know, but I thought Call Me By Your Name was an absolute cringe fest. His performance in Little Women was absolutely forgettable. He's only hyped up because he's a pretty, skinny twink giving artsy vibes.4 points

Love love LOVED the original I still watch it every Xmas. But this is beyond unnecessary, Jim will NOT sit and get put into a practical suit for hours at a time again so they’ll CGI a lot of it and it’ll lose its charm. Not to mention Taylor doesn’t do acting anymore since she’s the lead of The Pretty Reckless now and I doubt Christine will come back as Martha May. They should’ve just made him voice The Grinch in the other remake/reboot they did.4 points

her old hits went viral on tiktok, that's all, nothing crazy her actual new projects that should be getting the focus aren't making any noise, a good team would be able to muster a decent hit in the past 5 or so years people aren't streaming katy perry, they're streaming The One That Got Away and the problem is her team think they're doing a good job just because an old hit resurfaced her career is on life support and they're keeping the machine switched on rather than actually getting her better4 points
