Honestly, at this point I am questioning why BYL & Love Sensation are singles when this & Danceteria exist.

The fact that nobody can name her last 6/7 #1 hits on the Hot 100, except Anti-Hero and LOASG maybe, truly shows that #1s mean nothing (I know this topic is about australian charts but my point is valid there too)

Gotta give it to the studio version because it’s the blueprint, but what an embarrassment of riches tbh. Both the Grammy version and the REQUIEM version are excellent for different reasons. REQUIEM’s version is near perfect: the medieval twinged acoustic intro, the explosion into a deconstructed techno version of the full track…my only beef with it is I don’t really love the way she performs the bridge, but I think it ultimately works. Grammy’s on the other hand…the combination of those funky new wave guitars, the detuned gothic post punk guitars, the choral synths, the vocals, the attitude, the dissonant electro metal breakdown on the bridge and the operatic vocals? Genuinely masterful.

Gaga should star in an A24 movie.
