Gaga's popularity in Japan remains solid!!! This is a particularly notable award, as not only was Gaga up against Taylor and Sabrina, but it was also voted on exclusively by the Japanese public through Spotify. This shows that Gaga still reigns supreme over the other international pop girls, despite Japan's notoriously insular music scene. I live in Japan and I'm part of an 800-strong Little Monster fan group on LINE, so I'm especially happy that we successfully banded together to help lead our gal to victory! Hopefully, we get a cute little video from Gaga thanking the fans45 points

If Gaga is serious about acting, she needs to do a film where she isn't essentially playing a character you can associate with her stage personality. She's never going to get the success she wants without breaking the mould yet she continues to pick up the campy/over the top and/or musical roles.31 points

Well deserved. It's literally one of Gaga's best single since The Fame Monster and Born This Way era. She really put out one of her most iconic songs.14 points

The 41-year-old Firework singer headlined the show along with rapper Future, Anitta, and BLACKPINK's Lisa before the US team took on Paraguay. The international soccer championship tournament is being hosted by three North American countries, with opening ceremonies in Mexico and Canada featuring performers from each home country. During the opening ceremony, Katy performed the song Wonder alongside 10-year-old Norwegian performer Tius. She donned a structural silver Stella McCartney dress for the occasion. Viewers who tuned in to the USA's inaugural World Cup match complained about the pop star's shaky vocals, with comments such as, "katy perry is screeching like are her in ears not working" Others piled in, with one X user writing, "Katy Perry did horrible. She can’t sing and she looked ridiculous. We could’ve did so much better USA," as another added, "Why is Katy Perry yelling at me?" Others took shots at Katy's dress, with many comparing it to a Hersey's kiss chocolate wrapper and Christmas tinsel, while one X user quipped, "The person who put that dress on Katy Perry hates her from the depths of their heart." https://www.the-express.com/entertainment/celebrity-news/209558/katy-perry-world-cup-2026-performance-slammed11 points

“I like some of the Jane Campion movies…what the f*ck does she know about musicals?!”6 points

Y'all are saying "I want her to have more range and expand her filmography," but then in the next sentence say "She should do horror"...Like, what?? Gaga's main brand is that she leans into the alternative, dark, gothic/horror shtick. She literally just did that for MAYHEM, and she's already been in horror (or horror-adjacent) projects. If she really wants to go out of her wheelhouse, she should do a romantic comedy or something. Personally, I'd rather her do something different than musicals, but I'm also not opposed to that. What she really needs is a good script and direction. ASIB is by far and away her best movie, and that was a musical. I also think her mindset might've changed regarding how she tackles acting. I feel like in the beginning, she was extremely keen on being taken as a "serious" actor, and while that got her her first Oscar nom (which I feel like isn't talked about enough cause that's huge), I think people were turned off by the way she approached it. The ASIB press tour was memed to death, and the entirety of HoG was bad (both talking about the movie and the press run). She lightened up with Joker, and after the abysmal reaction that film got, I think she's taken a "f*ck it, I'm just gonna do what I think interests me or is fun" approach ever since. That's what got her Wednesday and Devil Wears Prada. I'm all in for her acting career because I'm equally a fan of TV and film as much as music. I just hope she picks the right projects, no matter what style or genre they are. But tbf, on paper, HoG and Joker seemed excellent; she was just extremely unlucky imo.6 points

Alejandro is SOOOOOO overrated I'm tired of it being in her setlists. There was no reason for it or LoveGame at the mayhem ball HOWEVER LoveGame is that girl so I'll excuse it6 points

Love the gay shouting, ”Go on girl!” just before the performance! Madonna has really been propped up by the gays since the start. Thanks for sharing!6 points

Wtf is this attitude and the elitism about? Drag queens regularly take inspiration from high fashion runway looks and editorial makeup and many of them even walk in runway shows (see: Violet Chachki, Gigi Goode etc.). Your reaction here says way more about the prejudicial attitude you have towards the art of drag than it does about the person you’re responding to, tbh. Slow your roll with the pretense, sister lmao. There are fashion snobs who would have the *exact* same reaction to you comparing this Dior model to Gaga (in spite of Gaga’s sincere interest in fashion and makeup) and they would be wrong for looking down on you, so try extending that grace to others.6 points

I’m seeing a basic bitch who cannot see an editorial makeup and making fun of it by comparing it to a drag queen, who is not a lower class art form6 points

The way we are still having this discussion over a year later. I'm never going to get over Mayhem6 points

I just can't look at her. Her weight loss is very concerning. She needs help, not a world tour. I feel for people suffering from ED, must be so triggering and I feel bad for her fans who watch her and get influenced.6 points

I actually loved her in HoG and think she was great at it and playing a character not remotely similar to her, she essentially played a manipulative woman who was obsessed with power and money which is the total opposite of Gaga as a person. Plus I miss her campy and quirky promotional quotes like 100 people in a room or her claiming to get drunk on non-alcoholic wine or her staying in character even off set and trying to keep the accent in life lol. I think her roles have been pretty varied. Ally, Patrizia and Harley were all different characters. But that being said I would like her to shy away from musicals for a while. Unless it’s going to be a Broadway musical made into a film she’d be great for. Like Guys & Dolls.5 points

People can be worried and just keep it in their heads, though. Saying it won’t change anything, and let’s be real — a good 95% of those comments aren’t about being worried but about Ari looking “disgusting.” The full ass bullying Ari’s faced for the last year or two just isn’t “a natural reaction”, come on now. It’s just neat cruelty.5 points

I have so much empathy for her, dealing with an addiction like an eating disorder is so complicated to address because the discourse can help fuel it, and I’m sure she isn’t thinking rationally and I would never blame someone for getting caught up in it. However, I don’t think we can ignore it at this point or chalk it up to other reasons. Usually I never am one to say “think of the children” when it comes to pop stars at ALL but in this case I don’t think we can turn a blind eye and make excuses for it, because I’m worried about younger fans thinking that this is normal. Even for the sake of others who are going through the same issues. Again, I’m not demonizing her personally. I hope that she has a support network, and I’m more disheartened by the people who allowed this tour to happen when it’s not in the best interest for her health.5 points

Fixed it. Chill girl it wasn't a value judgement. She genuinely looks like Alaska to me It's a striking look I agree with you5 points

She talks about how memories are not recycled like atoms and particles in quantum physics. They can be lost forever. It’s sort of like her past is an unfinished painting and as the artist of that painting she must fill in all the ugly holes, and make it beautiful again. It’s not that she has been dishonest; it’s just that she loathes reality.5 points

There was a tag in Apple TV that said it would be gone in a week the last time I checked, at least in my country. I think I last checked it 2 or 3 days ago.4 points

Aretha’s voice clears, her discog clears, and her musicianship clears. Whitney’s got a phenomenal voice and a wonderful collection of singles, but Aretha’s got stone cold *classic* albums4 points

She’s now an independent artist and this is impressive. She has worked SO hard for this era, I wish her every success with it and whatever else is to come. It’s not easy and she has been through it.4 points

this is dosgusting behaviour. I’m increasingly embarrassed that I was even casually into Taylor Swift.4 points

Good for her and a great achievement! I saw a tweet the other day how to prevent the album from debuting with over 80 million first day-streams, because the first six places on that list are all Taylor Swift albums and that fan (and an alarmingly high number of comments) wanted the "folklore barrier" to last. One of the points was to report profiles from Olivia fans on Spotify...4 points
