  5. AMC had partnered with Arena One to bring real-time concert events to theatrical audiences. Debuting in June 2026, the groundbreaking concert concept was set to feature performances from Bebe Rexha on June 17, Paris Hilton on June 18, Kim Petras on June 19, and Maren Morris on June 20, and Ashlee Simpson and Normani as supporting artists, all experienced live in more than 300 AMC locations nationwide. The in-theater concerts were to use technology to connect the musical artist with moviegoers, transmitting sound from audiences around the country back to the performer. Tickets were expected to range from $40 to $75 depending on the artist and market. Elenni Davis-Knight, vice president of marketing and communications for Artist One, the company that operates Arena One, confirmed in a Monday email that the concerts were postponed, but did not respond Tuesday to an email asking for rescheduled dates and reasoning. source

  6. Gaga always talks about empowering woman… but a majority of the people in the studio with her are men. There are tons of women she could easily be working with. I always found it odd.

  7. I appreciate the good humored ness to admit young people prefer a pop star over yourself. Definitely not something you’d often associate with the papacy of all things

  10. She's a queen without a kingdom, calling her queen of pop in 2026 is not only childish, but it's as equal as to call Gaga the meat dress singer, what she did in the 80s and 90s is indeed remarkable, but since then many new people reshaped pop music and made a bigger impact even greater than hers. Madame X will always be a bad album, no matter how many times people throws the words "experimental" "underrated" "you don't understand Mirwais" and try to convince themselves and others that it's a good album, it's simply not. Isaac is a beautiful song, one of the peaks in her career, the haters are very particular people and hates it for one obvious reason. Music album is underrated. Doesn't Really Matter is not a good song. She doesn't have good ballads. Don't Cry For Me Juanita is meh. Like A Virgin, Holiday and Material Girl didn't age well and they need a remastered version so badly. Her artistry never really evolved, she's been doing the same thing over and over. the religion thing is not shocking anymore, the sex is boring, the dance moves are the same.

  11. I think Abracadabra did. The intro, instrumental, song structure, that BRIDGE, it’s a great song throughout. Also still think Bad Romance is a top tier Gaga song, which means it’s better than ROM.

  13. I like the word of choice "perform" because even Yoko Ono used to perform and call it a day. Now to sing requires a whole lot more than just a beautiful yellow gown swinging moment.

  33. I know this thread may be controversial considering we are a bunch of fans who are used to obsessively defending a pop star, and for those of you on this site who love Michael, please don’t hate me or take this personally. I just finished watching the Michael Jackson documentary on Netflix and I can’t help but find Gaga’s obsession with Michael, despite all his faults, akin to our obsession with Gaga. Now Gaga has obviously not been accused of heinous crimes, but the fact that she continues to worship and idolize a man, despite longstanding accusations against him, makes me in a weird way remember that Gaga is still a human and still more like us than we think. Yes, she is older and more private and makes less public appearances than she used to, but at her core she’s still that young girl from the upper west side who is obsessed with pop culture, superstardom, and “the fame”, just like us. At times I think to myself, I’m getting too old to worship her and that she no longer wants us to dissect or analyze her craft, but watching the documentary on Michael made me realize that her obsession with him and his superstardom still persists to this day (as evidenced by Shadow of a Man) and is perhaps a continuity in our collective obsession with fame despite us growing older and our better senses or societal expectations telling us to grow up and move on with our pop star obsessions.

  34. this is literally the best allegory. the reason she is rich isn't because she's the best. it's because she's the most digestible popstar: least "political", white, blonde, music that is easy to sing and listen to, songs that are primarily about love, nothing challenging, groundbreaking or revolutionary. it's very much the fast food equivalent of music: cheap, affordable, and does the job even though it's pretty bland. .and that's how you appeal to the masses and make billions peeps. take notes!
