This is what modern discourse has been reduced to: back-and-forth bickering with zero substance, individualistic acts of "I don't give a ****, stay mad" and no attempt whatsoever to build or engage in constructive dialogue for a better society. Its just virtue signaling with extra steps.31 points

Good. I mean that's how it should be It's important not to yield when it comes to your core beliefs even if everyone pushes back. That being said my belief is that veganism without class consciousness is just a picnic19 points

She’s right but the way she’s said some things is not the best. At the end of the day, this is an animal consuming society and anyone speaking for an alternative will get pushback.16 points

I think you must have some real thin skin if you don't get her point, and I say this as a fat f*ck who eats a ton of meat. It's no secret that animals are horribly mistreated in all different types of industries. And it IS hypocritical to say you're an animal lover while still supporting those industries. So yeah, I am hypocritical for that. And so is everyone else who does the same. It's not rocket science, and people are just offended that she's calling them out because they can't bear to think they are partly responsible for it.14 points

https://www.war.gov/UFO/ The Pentagon has begun releasing new files on UFOs, saying members of the public can draw their own conclusions on “unidentified anomalous phenomena” like an object that a drone pilot says shone a bright light in the sky and then vanished. It said in a post on Twitter that while past administrations sought to discredit or dissuade the American people, President Donald Trump “is focused on providing maximum transparency to the public, who can ultimately make up their own minds about the information contained in these files.” It said additional documents will be released on a rolling basis. Besides the Pentagon, the effort is led by the White House, the director of national intelligence, the Energy Department, NASA and the FBI. x7 points

What if her talking about “flopping” after a big success in multiple interviews, was her hinting an idea to intentionally release an album that ruffles feathers and knocks her back down a peg in popularity because she doesn’t want to try and compete with brat. I think she believes in the music she is making but makes it purposefully not to the taste of what people are wanting and wouldn’t mind if it lets her go back to pre brat charli level? does any one know what I’m saying? It would honestly be kinda iconic to intentionally do something like this and I guarantee years later it would be like applauded and cult status7 points

Grammy-nominated international superstar Adam Lambert is set to release his sixth full-length studio album, Adam, on Friday, July 10th via his own label, distributed via The Orchard. Featuring artwork by renowned fashion photographer Nick Knight and executive produced by Pete Nappi (Jon Bellion, Jon Batiste, Jonas Brothers, Rihanna, Pharrell Williams), the self-titled album features 12 diverse new songs and marks a fully realized exploration into all facets of Lambert’s humanity and otherworldly artistry. Largely inspired by the 90s alternative and electronica, Adam expertly blends multiple genres to create something timeless. The first taste of the album arrives today with the release of “Eat U Alive,” introducing listeners to the dark industrial texture that will come to define much of the album. Featuring an infectious, high-energy chorus and dripping with insatiable primal desire, the new track shines a spotlight on Lambert’s powerhouse vocal abilities and is available to stream now. “‘Eat U Alive’ is the perfect primer into my next musical chapter,” says Lambert. “I wanted to create songs that fit into a world reminiscent of the music that made a formative impact on me in the 90s and early 00’s. Nine Inch Nails, Björk, Prince, Muse, Goldfrapp, Daft Punk, George Michael, Massive Attack and the Crystal Method are just a few who inspired the sound. The album explores both the light and shade of life and the razor’s edge that separates a positive experience from a negative one. I hope these songs connect with anyone who has been through the confusing but necessary process of self-acceptance. There was a real liberation in acknowledging my own weaknesses and strengths. Accepting the bad and the good altogether. Revolutionary for someone who always thought of himself as a perfectionist and an idealist.” x6 points

She's definitely being sarcastic and sardonic with the claim that it's rock music. An electronic track with some rock instrumentation backing and her unimpressed, bored delivery of "I'm banging my head, I'm hurting my neck, the dancefloor is dead, so I guess we're making rock music" is an expression of how this isn't what she wants to be doing but it's where the industry is headed so she may as well. Not saying that she's being artistically disingenuous but she's pretending like she is in a campy way. It's giving detachment, disassociation. All very deliberate, a new form of indie sleaze. She's really good at the cool girl persona and she's continuing it with a new avenue here. I admire her for always trying something new and doing her own thing, even if it doesn't always do it for me.6 points

Wow I'm glad she waited so long. Everyone has been perched. I'm sure all this time between the album, tour, singles, and Requiem will really drive up streams and performance. Really good marketing and planning on her part. Telling nobody anything about it is a great idea, too!6 points

This girl has the right intentions but she’s so annoying. Where do you think Gucci gets their leather from? You know the brand she keeps wearing and promoting. She also has promoted certain makeup brands that test on animals. The way she feels somehow superior to people that eat meat but still feels entitled to profit from brands that test on or use animal products is so hypocritical. It’s just like when she was caught drinking Starbucks or when she was selling her vinyls after calling out other artists for doing that exact same thing. She is the typical privileged white girl that uses causes as a clutch to feel better about her privilege Veganism is great but this is not a good way of promoting it. You don’t get ti point fingers while also profiting from animal suffering.6 points

This is my issue with society in general now a days I used to like discussing and debating serious issues and politics as well. I sometimes still comment or post some news or occasionally in real life discuss the topic but Ive pulled back big time Ppl are increasingly incapable of talking like a normal human being without strong knee jerk reactions if you disagree with something and its exhausting Sometimes someone says something I have a different view point and I would like to say something or give my two cents (not necessairily to lecture but just engage). But more often than not I no longer bother to. I know theres a good chance it will turn inti something unpleasent and I just don't have the energy to deal with peoples immaturity and intolerance anymore And tbh, at the risk of saying something unpopular here, I dont find its just Conservatives or the Right Wing that have this issue. I think both sides have the issue more than they realize even tho they always blame the other side. I think the problem is culturally we have normalized an agressive way of speaking6 points

I might agree with her point if both her and Finneas hadn't proven themselves to be huge virtue signallers. I don't care how moderate or extreme somebody's viewpoint is, as long as they're willing to stick to their guns and put their money where their mouth is. Both her and Finneas have shown that their morals are flexible whenever they stand to gain from it (see vinyl variants, her stolen land comments, Finneas using a Kanye song on his story etc.)6 points
