Translation: DIVAS! In an interview with iHeartRadio, Meryl Streep confirms that she called Lady Gaga from London to invite her to join “The Devil Wears Prada 2”. 👠 “I just said: ‘Would you do it? Because it’s going to be really great.’ And she replied: ‘Yes.’ (Gaga, a woman of few words!) In the same conversation, she and her co-star Emily Blunt praised the singer’s work ethic, noting that she accepted the invitation even in the middle of a world tour at the time. “She’s just incredible. She was on a world tour that lasted a year, performing for 75,000 people in stadiums, and yet she still flew in to join us,” Streep emphasized. “And friends told me that she’d do the entire show and, at the end, she’d go backstage, take off the wig, take everything off, remove all the makeup, go back on stage… just like that, totally simple. And people would cry. Because seeing that… it was like she was saying: ‘All this is part of the show, but this is the real me.’ I think she’s an incredibly creative force. I think she’s amazing,” Blunt concluded.7 points

As a huge Killah stan, I still have to go with Aura. That being said, both absolutely top notch tracks. Both songs are better live, but the studio version of Killah is better than the studio version of Aura, imo.7 points

Records are made to be broken. It seems that Shakira didn't break Gaga's record but some day, someone will, and we should applaud them for it Unless it's f*cking Kanye or some freak like that. Then I declare war on Brazil7 points

it was done in the 80's too and probably a bunch of other times But did Gaga ever claim she invented it? She doesn't have to be the first but it obviously is synonymous with her now, like if Sabrina Carpenter did it everyone would say she's copying Gaga7 points

sorry but whats the point of performing for 2 million ppl if ur just gonna obviously lip sync......7 points

I do hope this is a turning point for her regarding her relationship with alcohol and other substances. I know her boys have moved in with her and her relationship with them seems to have improved a lot, so hopefully this is the beginning of a positive shift.6 points

But on topic: I honestly am not really clamoring for an official release of PD. It’s a good song, but I feel like she’s grown out of that mindset about her relationship to fame. I also feel like she has manage to synthesize her view of being a celebrity into something way more interesting than being the tragic ingenue on tracks like PC or even GL to the point that PD feels a little sophomoric by comparison. I’m not saying I wouldn’t take it if we got it, but I just don’t really *need* it.6 points

I feel like there wasn't much buzz compared to Gaga's and Madge's. It was like "oh hey Shakira is performing" and that's it's lol6 points

The concept of not being grossed out by meat but being grossed out by meat5 points

I think a lot of it comes down to the fact that Shakira tours Latin America all the time (she brought this tour all over South America last year!), while Gaga hadn’t been to South America in a decade before Copacabana. Shakira probably got more locals, but Gaga got people to travel from neighboring cities/countries for the show.5 points
