yeah sis, you wake up early in the morning, preparing breakfast for your kids, dressing them up, going by bus, or by foot or with your 20 years old car that you struggle to pay fuel and the insurance to.. then you rush to your part time job and hope there won't be traffic and you won't be late because if u do, your boss will fire you and you won't have the money to feed your kids anymore, then the bills are coming, and maybe this month you can't pay the rent or the electricity, so to save money, you don't buy bread this month, you don't buy the ice cream you want so much, just to have one moment of happiness, and the kids won't have their favorite toy that their class mate are so crazy about, but maybe next months things will be better.. Let's show some sympathy to Shakira, she knows this struggle so much

But on topic: I honestly am not really clamoring for an official release of PD. It’s a good song, but I feel like she’s grown out of that mindset about her relationship to fame. I also feel like she has manage to synthesize her view of being a celebrity into something way more interesting than being the tragic ingenue on tracks like PC or even GL to the point that PD feels a little sophomoric by comparison. I’m not saying I wouldn’t take it if we got it, but I just don’t really *need* it.

I think a lot of it comes down to the fact that Shakira tours Latin America all the time (she brought this tour all over South America last year!), while Gaga hadn’t been to South America in a decade before Copacabana. Shakira probably got more locals, but Gaga got people to travel from neighboring cities/countries for the show.
