Some of y'all are denseeeeeee It's not her movie. Of course she's not going to come out in an extravagant, flamboyant look. It would honestly be disrespectful if she did, since it would take the focus away from the actual stars of the film + the movie itself. The look is perfectly serviceable for what her role is, and she looks nice!

The Fame is STILL 18 years later in the top 100 on the Billboard 200 (currently at 72 I believe) but it only peaked at #2. For the 20 year anniversary we should band together and stream and buy TF outta it to make it hit #1 even if it’s just for a week because I HATE seeing that THE defining electronic dance pop album of the 21st century only peaked at #2. I wonder if Gagita will do anything for the 20th anniversary like she did for the 10 years of BTW? Id love to see an album of covers/modernised re-recorded versions either featuring artists that she inspired (Doechii, Chappell, Sam Smith, Cardi B etc) with a modern flair and maybe THAT could hit #1. thoughts opinions musings?

Ngl I don’t think most of the folks who dislike Runway dislike it because it’s too “gay,” I think people dislike it because it’s pretty on the nose (“yassss hunty, werq Mawmaw!”) and Doechii is largely in the driver’s seat. If anything, I think most of the fan base on the site would prefer she make “c*nty bops,” but I think this one missed the mark for a lot of fans. For the record: I don’t think it’s a bad song, but it is very RPDR runway anthem, which is cute, fun, and great for what it is and what it’s for, but it doesn’t really stand out in her broader catalog, imo.

Something just feels off about some of the backlash to this song and I can’t qwhite put my finger on it.
