  1. I don’t even like Madonna but yes she will always be relevant simply for being MADONNA. There is no doubt that she is a legend. also just cuz someone ages doesn’t mean they still can’t make art

  4. Madonna has drafted in a star-studded cast for the huge video which will launch her comeback. Kate Moss and film stars Gwendoline Christie and Benedict Cumberbatch were all recruited. Alongside the big-name cameos, her crew shot a car crash, wild warehouse rave and a massive dance scene, with extras suspended from the ceiling on wires. Madonna, hired the entire studio and shot across six stages, with a hundreds-strong crew. “She had her own trailer which was heated at 28C at all times. “Fans can expect to see it in the coming weeks.” https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/38471976/madonna-celebs-epic-comeback-video/

  13. He was talking to @nATAH, who was also called out for passive aggressive behavior by another member just recently. (I don’t remember the thread but I do remember that comment) It is interesting observation on my part. @nATAH Do you consider yourself passive aggressive? Why do a few people here think that? The mic is yours!

  17. Convinced Gaga is one of the most elusive people in the music industry. Never responded to Diplo, Ariana couldn’t get a hold of her when they won the Grammy, even Epstein files showed she didn’t respond.

  18. Or she just does what she loves. She'll always be relevant through the art of all the pop stars she inspired and influenced, and that includes Gaga.

  21. Both of these songs have some of Gaga's best verses in her career and the production is top tier on either. The chorus and bridge for both songs could've (should've) taken it to the next level, but they fall a little flat on those fronts. Still two of my favorite songs from her, and ARTPOP has the edge for me because it feels like a more complete product with a more interesting perspective.

  22. I'm kinda surprised this wasn't discussed already, but CHANEL held its fall/winter fashion show in Paris yesterday and Just Dance was heavily featured on the soundtrack, most notably on the finale. A lot of the gurlies in attendance were seen enjoying the soundtrack, most notably Teyana Taylor, Jennie, Olivia Dean, Margot Robbie, Lily-Rose Depp and Kylie Minogue. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DVrKnHSitum/ https://www.instagram.com/reel/DVrzzsXjFla/?hl=fr

  24. Jack White is pissed off. Several days after speaking to the Guardian about his songwriting process, during which he discussed being uninterested in the autobiographical style of writing in the “Taylor Swift way of pop singers writing about all of their publicly aired breakups,” the musician published a now-deleted statement on Instagram to decry media outlets who used it as an opportunity to write headlines that conflated his words into insulting Swift. “I didn’t say that I think Taylor Swift’s music was ‘boring’ or whatever click bait the net is trying to scrape together,” he explained. White, who has rarely engaged with the press in recent years — his Rock Hall induction speech was a lovely exception — says experiences like this made him “less and less interested in doing interviews” amid the “age of this massive demand for click bait and content.” For example, White told the Guardian that he finds it a bit boring to write about himself. “If it’s something really painful,” he put it, “I’m not going to put this important, painful thing that I went through out there for some idiot on the internet to stomp all over.” The inevitable “slams” and “blasts” headlines ensued. The modern news cycle has encouraged White to “not want to answer questions with any sort of romance or passion or reflection as I’m too busy having to worry about accidentally triggering nonsense like this from so called ‘journalists’ and ‘editors.’” https://www.vulture.com/article/jack-white-forced-to-issue-taylor-swift-clarification.html

  31. Jack White has said that the idea of writing songs about public breakups “in the Taylor Swift way” is not “interesting at all” to him. The “Seven Nation Army” musician was asked about the use of autobiographical details in his own songwriting when he made reference to Taylor Swift, whose romantic relationships have inspired a raft of songs throughout her career. Swift is widely believed to have written songs about her relationships with exes – including musicians Joe Jonas and Matty Healy, and actor Joe Alwyn. More recently, her songwriting has been informed by her ongoing relationship with her fiancé, NFL player Travis Kelce. “Are any of your songs entirely autobiographical?” White was asked, in a new interview with The Guardian. “Not too much,” The White Stripes frontman replied. “Now it’s become very popular in the Taylor Swift way of pop singers writing about all of their publicly aired break-ups, which I don’t find interesting at all. I think it’s a little bit boring for me to write about myself. “Even if I’ve had a really interesting day, I feel like I’ve already lived that, I don’t need to go through it every time I sing this song,” he continued. “If it’s something really painful, I’m not going to put this important, painful thing that I went through out there for some idiot on the internet to stomp all over.” White explained that he puts “a percentage” of his personal experience into his own songwriting, so he can then “morph it into somebody else’s character”. “I can’t really learn about myself until I put it into somebody else’s shoes,” he added. https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/news/jack-white-taylor-swift-breakup-songs-b2934565.html

  32. I love Speechless but I hate Joe.. I also find it cute that she outed him as bi, so my hate to him is even stronger because of how MAGA asshole this man is. But Vanish is the ultimate song, it's THE song that defines a career.. shame that it's not a single to actually make it happen and make it define her career and the acclaim worldwide.

  39. Honestly, it’s part of the reason why I love that she tends to tell her stories in a more fantastical way because it prevents the songs from being stuck in a specific moment in time and, even if they are personal, a lot of her songs can be recontextualized because of that.
