  6. The jazz hate is so forced, I fear. I’d rather her do jazz than movies, considering she’s only been in one good movie and has 1 excellent, 1 very good, and 1 decent jazz record under her belt.

  7. After more than a decade, Hilary Duff returns to the Billboard 200 chart with luck… or something debuting at No. 3. The set, her first studio album since 2015’s Breathe In. Breathe Out., arrives with 84,000 equivalent album units earned. Of that sum, album sales comprise 73,000 (her best sales week since 2007; it debuts at No. 2 on Top Album Sales), SEA units comprise 11,000 (equaling 11.51 million on-demand official streams of the set’s songs) and TEA units comprise a negligible sum. The new album’s first-week sales were aided by its availability across 7 vinyl variants (including a signed edition), three CD variants (including a signed edition, and a Walmart-exclusive edition with seven bonus tracks), a deluxe boxed set containing a branded shirt and a signed CD, and a deluxe digital download edition with 11 bonus tracks (including the seven bonus Walmart tracks, plus four additional cuts). The new album was preceded by the chart hit “Roommates,” which has reached the top 20 of the Adult Pop Airplay chart and the top 30 of Pop Airplay.

  8. Movies She's not a great actress and every time she's doing a movie it's taking too much time from her music career and it's exhausting when at the end, it's just an average to meh movie. ASIB was great because of the music, not because of her acting.. her acting was average.. Gucci was horrible, everything, it felt like a parody on an Italian family and she's the biggest comedian there. Joker 2 shouldn't even been released... again the best that came from this movie is music, Harlequin. Even her 1 minute on Wednesday was not good lol but with these kind of small roles I can be fine.. but then a whole era is on standby or over just to release 1 song for the small acting project...

  9. It is so hilarious to me how gullible, attention seeking, and lacking any individuality many on this site are. yall took the bait and decided to hate this woman because she dared someone to play with a dildo. as if half of you have not said worse at a gay club on a Friday night. 🙄 lizzo remains talented and this hate would have never happened if she was a skinny white girl. You would have just said she is cunty and gave her a pass. That’s the truth.

  10. Since Mayhem's first anniversary is this week, do you think it's possible she'll announce anything? Maybe Mayhem Requiem? A cute post about the era, or just radio silence?

  12. she does pick good scripts, it's the editing, rewrites, reshooting and direction she has no control or prediction about once she's signed that contract on paper, joker 2 should have been a smash hit (and her part was one of the few parts that was praised), the fact Todd messed up that bad is an achievement in itself

  13. Dark pop....but actually dark. Mayhem is camp dark. If she goes that way....I want.....actually deep dark. The difference between this: And this:

  14. I'm just stoked that I've been present for three recorded/streamed shows now. Well, four technically. The LA Chromatica Ball, two LA Mayhem Balls, and the Super Saturday Night show in 2020 I'm famous

  16. Couldn’t disagree more, tbh. I think the MBT performance is good and serves its function, but the internalized surreal psychological horror of the video clears the live performance. One of the only videos of hers that leans into horror that I found genuinely unsettling aesthetically and tonally.

  18. Hi guys, I've been working a while now on this mix. It's obviously slightly inspired by the Mayhem Ball and it's designed to use in the gym and keep you going. My favorite transitions are Abra > Judas > Scheiße > Aura > Swine, GoE > Venus BR > Alice MJH > Disease > Lovegame > CSTH To make sure the transitions work well it's best to just start from Abra and let it play. Any suggestions to add in? Let me know, I feel like it could use some more Born This Way songs. Hope you like it!

  21. Mmmmmm I don't think she needs to do pure jazz anymore. If anything, integrate it better into the LG music because it would be cooler and more artistically distinguishing. It's always been my one thing about her jazz work. It's cool. I love C2C, but she compartmentalizes her career so much.

  23. No because she also was Coachella and tour creative director where her vision also translated to sets like the dress. She was hired to make a well-paced show. It's smart. HUGE showstopping opener that grabs attention and photographs to promote the show without revealing too much. The sandbox is another point. I think she did a great deal for the era but they showed some wise restraint throughout to draw your eye in certain places and make them have maximum impact. In the past, Gaga has sometimes let moments that should have been more impactful fall into relative obscurity because she wasn't being cognizant of how to strategically draw attention. Everything existed on the same plane of attraction, but when that happens, there's no plan or direction. But look at Mayhem. This era has been an incredibly huge strategic success for Gaga in ways it really shouldn't have been by all accounts. And it's because they strategized how to build and sustain visual impact first from the Abra video then to SNL, Coachella, Copa, then the tour and NOW that incredible grammys performance and requiem. This has been incredibly well-done so, no, I didn't expect more. Parris was utilized very very well this era and its success shows that.

  24. Here we go with the "I want dark pop again!!!!" comments Y'all can't just keep asking for the same things every era. I'm sorry, but it gets so boring You are stanning a versatile artist, let her experiment with more genres!

  25. Like imagine her going back and trying to shoehorn Zombieboy into the industrial grunge aesthetic…MESS! I couldn’t agree more because what I love the most about MAYHEM is that it feels like the fulfillment of what ARTPOP aspired to be: an album that feels unbound by expectations where she truly just created whatever felt right, had fun doing it, and made a collection of sensational bangers.

  26. Also I think the idea of “committing to a sound” is a double edged sword. BTW commits to a production aesthetic while still having genre eclecticism, which I think is a strength, whereas Chromatica commits to a sparse, boilerplate 2010s pop-house revival sound, which is a massive weakness. Ultimately, even though they’re not mutually exclusive, if you asked me if I wanted cohesive or I wanted high quality, I’d pick high quality.

  27. Thats an impossible choice, she loves Jazz so much and becoming a movie star has always been a dream of hers.

  34. a) we know why parris didn't do the choreo for TDD it was because production already had a choreographer b) are you expecting gaga to be doing abra level choreo for every song on the tour or?

  35. I have empathy for you Kelly, but I feel it culturally important to note that you have chosen a less compassionate path. Your work on E! with the Fashion Police is rooted in criticism, judgment, and rating people’s beauty against one another. ‘Appearance’ is the most used reason for bullying in the world. Your show breeds negativity, and over the years has even become comedic in nature. It glorifies you and Joan Rivers pointing in the camera, laughing, and making jokes about artists and celebrities as if we are zoo animals. What about your body revolution? It used to make me truly sad when I would hear people talk about your weight when you were younger, as I was bullied too. To see you blossoming into a beautiful slender woman who makes fun of others for a living is astounding. Why not help others? Why not defend others who are bullied for their image and share your story?
