Remaining songs from The Fame : Brown Eyes, Retro Dance Freak and Again Again.23 points

I have empathy for you Kelly, but I feel it culturally important to note that you have chosen a less compassionate path. Your work on E! with the Fashion Police is rooted in criticism, judgment, and rating people’s beauty against one another. ‘Appearance’ is the most used reason for bullying in the world. Your show breeds negativity, and over the years has even become comedic in nature. It glorifies you and Joan Rivers pointing in the camera, laughing, and making jokes about artists and celebrities as if we are zoo animals. What about your body revolution? It used to make me truly sad when I would hear people talk about your weight when you were younger, as I was bullied too. To see you blossoming into a beautiful slender woman who makes fun of others for a living is astounding. Why not help others? Why not defend others who are bullied for their image and share your story?16 points

I am very sorry for your loss, but that doesn’t excuse you using NUTELLA as a punching bag for a bad faith read of a genuine question that clearly was not intended to be hurtful.12 points

One of the best songs off TF. Idk why she pays it dust lol11 points

a) we know why parris didn't do the choreo for TDD it was because production already had a choreographer b) are you expecting gaga to be doing abra level choreo for every song on the tour or?10 points

I'll be honest, I didn't expect Abra level choreo on tour. Because so much of that music video choreo is cinematography dependent to really make it pop. That's just not replicable on a tour where you can't control viewing angle. I think Parris delivered the best tour choreo we've seen in ages, everything was fluid and theatrical.9 points

gaga when she unzipped Michael's pants for the first time:9 points

Couldn’t disagree more, tbh. I think the MBT performance is good and serves its function, but the internalized surreal psychological horror of the video clears the live performance. One of the only videos of hers that leans into horror that I found genuinely unsettling aesthetically and tonally.7 points

I love knowing absolutely nothing about this movie or the people in it.7 points

Martin Kierszenbaum aka Cherry Cherry Boom Boom? yeah multiple of times, actually he's the founder and chairman of CherryTree Records, and he signed Gaga at the beginning, she started her career under CherryTree Records, which is an interscope imprint. but after the success of TF and TFM she was fully integrated into Interscope. She's the first to say Cherry Cherry Boom Boom in songs that he produced, so it's kind of cute. And many times in interviews he spoke very kindly about her.7 points

I’m sure some celebrities she pointed at were going through hard times when she dragged their appearances. I feel for her too, grief can have such a deep impact on people. Hopefully this experience teaches her some compassion. Would’ve love to hear her say something like, ‘I’ve been the one to point fingers in the past and being in these shoes now I wish I’d been kinder. I’ve learned my lesson and will no longer be making statements on my appearance during this time of grief.’ Celebrities are too exposed these days. Hopefully she’s able to stay away from the internet for a while until she’s in a better space. Diving into the criticism and concerns doesn’t seem to be helpful to her.6 points

From the typography of Gaga’s name, to her logo, to the Warwick Saint photoshoot and the “Just Dance” artwork, it seems very clear that The Fame was initially supposed to have a slightly different aesthetic and a different album cover, closer to “Just Dance” than “Beautiful, Dirty, Rich.” She first did her iconic shoot with Warwick Saint. Later in the process, she turned to Candice Lawler. One of Candice’s pictures actually ended up being printed in the album’s booklet (without Candice being credited btw) in the middle of Peter Henket’s pictures. What do you think inspired those changes? What picture do you think would’ve been the album cover and why?6 points

I asked why people were “expressing concern” over her appearance when it’s well-known that drugs like Ozempic- a medicine she uses- dramatically alter/hollow the appearance of the face. I read it as people trying to scrutinize her unfairly during a difficult time… but I can see how I ended up doing the same thing in her “defense" (from my POV). Hand to god, I wasn’t trying to be cruel. But you’re right- I don’t know all the details & I shouldn’t have said anything about it. I’m sorry for making a hurtful comment & I am sorry for your loss.6 points

I swear she doesn't age. I'm wondering if the fashion and somewhat new style of face mask is an indication for her next era. There's a theory it could be water-themed, if it follows the pattern of her three previous albums: Vulnicura = fire / Utopia = air / Fossora = earth. Also, it's giving strong Diva Plavalaguna vibes.6 points

Yes, mostly I wish Disease would have had a gaggy differently choreographed music video.5 points

I feel like most people who dislike this album did not truly live through this amazing era first hand. I was lucky to be a full grown adult when she debuted and honestly as someone who lived through the GOD AWFUL 2000s pop music (yes most of it was actually awful I’m sorry) it was a breath of fresh air and spectacular.5 points

I dunno. I know she’s grieving, buts it’s very hypocritical to want compassion, when she built her career ridiculing celebrities for their looks and appearance. Even outside the show, she was always very mean and a bully.4 points

And the buccal fat removal for sure. She has a strong jaw and square-ish head and so these things look pronounced. Also ns but they’re British so they tend to have harsher makeup. Like yeah she’s tiny rn she’s grieving her father and they were a TIGHT family. It’s grief and some ozempic and some work done. It’s nothing new or shocking I think people mask their unjustified personal disgust with “concern” often and so here we are. Not that much more to it than what we already knew.4 points

The Warwick photoshoot always seemed more like it was her inside and performing in a nightclub aesthetically (posing in the booths, the corner, performing onstage etc) which matched her lifestyle but all her iconography is gone, all the fashion and hairstyling and stuff isn’t what you’d associate with her debut. In fact I’d go as far as saying the hair is more late Joanne/ASIB coded now than TF. The final photoshoot made more sense to me because it’s her iconic aesthetic she adopted for the majority of the era. It focuses on her iconography (the fame glasses, disco stick, her hair and bangs, the hood) and I think her idea of making the final cover being more like a magazine cover that’s faded (to symbolise that the fame has faded, and now she’s bringing it back) is much better I think the one of her performing with the giant lightning bolt was probably in the running to be the album cover because it’s a very 2000s bold striking album cover style. However, by 2008 artists started using more minimalistic album covers so I think that was part of the change.4 points

And yet she performed SC (read: an infinitely worse song, genuinely one of her worst) for the entirety of CBT. Huh.4 points

It's so crazy because (and I'm ready for the bullets), but I actually really love the vibe and production and world and clarity of Chromatica and prefer it to anything except Abracadabra on Mayhem. Honestly, what you feel about Chromatica (the production being milquetoast and bland) is how I feel about Mayhem. When I first heard it it sounded dated and not mixed well to me. Abracadabra and LoveDrug and Die With A Smile sound "right" to me. The rest of the album sounds off or warbly or something to me. It could punch better. Chromatica....does punch and smack for me.3 points
