... Believe it or not ... Chromatica was ARTPOP's spiritual successor. Was it experimental? No BUT the core of ARTPOP was "...Pain exploding in electronic music..." I would LOVE more EDM from Gaga, but I feel the rock album is more likely

Now i know some of you probably read the title and either did one of two things; rolled your eyes because you "hate EDM" or thought i meant Act II. OR maybe you think i mean in terms of reception or success. But alas I do not. I think that LG8 is gonna be the SPIRITUAL SUCCESOR to ARTPOP and here's why; Gaga has made it clear she's now comfortable with claiming her style from years ago as her own on Mayhem and she combined all the best parts of her old music into what she wanted her music to be years ago before she had all the tools and artistic vision. But now years on with her being happy to make music again I think she's probably ready to have fun with her music again. I think the next album is gonna be a mix of Dance music with real elements. And here's why; 1) Gaga has actually answered direct questions related to ARTPOP more this era, she thinks Princess Die deserves a release, but assured us she wouldn't be putting out old demos. She also said when working on Mayhem she DID consider reworking old work beforehand. 2) Madeon. This is a point i've not seen come up; Madeon was the one who confirmed Gaga remixed the Abra performance on the GRAMMYs but- HOW DID HE KNOW THAT? My guess is he's one of the producers she's been in the studio with. 3) Madeon fits into this evolution because he produced MJH, and that song whilst HEAVY EDM also feels like a Metal song in a Hardstyle song's body. He confirmed Gaga has been working with analog synths herself lately (once again HOW did he know this unless he had been working with her). 4) Moroder. If she really has worked with him Moroder makes Disco music that skews more towards the electronic side see: I Feel Love. Disco influence is all over ARTPOP in it's Four-On-The-Floor beats, Disco and Funk bass' and even some synths and guitars. 5) She met with Will.i.am before Mayhem happened (perhaps the album was already done by this time who knows), and whilst she may have not had him on the album. Who's to say maybe she wouldn't work with him again? Since she seems still friends with him and he said he would happily work with her again. 6) NIN drummer joining her for the GRAMMYs, perhaps she's working with NIN on the album too. So basically what I'm saying is; I think the next album is gonna be like Mary Jane Holland, Venus & Fashion. I think she'll reclaim her more experimental status and make an album with pop hooks but with heavy basslines, real guitars and analog synths. Maybe even some real live drums. My guesses are the album will be a mature evolved version of ARTPOP sonically with production from Madeon, Moroder and NIN (and maybe even will.i.am) because Gaga rarely makes 2 albums with the same producers in a row (Watt & Cirkut). So yeah this is just my theory feel free to stick in your own theories. EDIT: For those who may not know THIS is the sound Madeon is currently doing Now tell me this does NOT sound like a harder rocky disco dance sound Gaga could kill

Bad Bunny's message was about love and Gaga coming there with Americano would've made the entire show feel more like it was fighting something instead of celebrating culture. I do agree that a mariachi version of Americano would've been fun to have there but I guess Die With A Smile being the hit that it is worked better as the wedding love song.

It wouldn't have, actually. For a few reasons. First, the show was mainly centralized around Puerto Rican culture, Americano was written about unfair immigration laws towards Mexican immigrants and takes notes from mariachi music. That's honestly a bit tone deaf imo. Second, Americano is combative while the show was celebratory. The tones conflict too harshly. Third, she came in on a wedding scene which...I mean, I hate how corny DWAS is but it's the perfect cheesy wedding love song Fourth, DWAS is a hit that was easily translated into a salsa rhythm and slotted into the show to give Benito a second to breathe It was honestly perfect. And that's coming from someone who absolutely detests DWAS

Obviously people are going to criticize that more, Taylor doesn’t release ANYTHING without manipulating its chart position in some way Not to mention Gaga didn’t even capitalize on the trend of releasing physical singles again this era sans DWAS, which again, was probably Bruno’s team pushing. If she and Taylor were anywhere near comparable in terms of desperation she would’ve rush released a bunch of Abra singles the week of the Super Bowl to secure a top 10 position

my guess is, the tour will continue then we'll get Requiem after it as a sort of farewell on Apple Music. Then we'll get the DWP2 song which my guess is either gonna be a new song (the GAG if it's actually the rumoured Madoona song too and a collab) or it'll be the song with Moroder. She'll attend the DWP premiere and will probably get asked if she's making new music like they always do. Then my guess is the collab will be for Abel's upcoming album and his first album under his real name (also possibly the lead single). If we're lucky she'll do performances of that. But i see 2026 being a year of her crafting a follow up album now she feels happier to make music again, she's not afraid to claim her old sound as her own and make it with fresh eyes thanks to Mayhem. I think since a followup with more rock elements is expected, she WON'T go that route, since Madeon must clearly be working with her too (which we don't talk about for some reason) my guess is she's going into a more electronic route again next album with a mix of songs she has heavy hands in like analog synths and such.

I miss the times when artists released music they loved to make and got surprised by the natural reception and winning awards the OG way I know this woman has the same ego as Donald Trumpeta but dear God it's getting a lil' tiring
