The only work where the lead producer, bloodpop, took too much control on her artistic direction instead of being an advisor and having the tools that follows and helps her shape her art. The best songs are the songs when BURNS was part of them.

Enigma is top 10 in her discography I think it's her most underrated album The transitions are amazing and I wish she released a nonstop version bc Apple Music keeps wanting to give a split second pause given the club-ness of the album I wish it was pushed so much further in that aspect. Love all the remixes, extended, etc.

Blade of Grass would be loved by certain people if it was sang by Taylor and would be called a genius song, one of the best of our generation and all that.

Shadow of a Man is not as amazing as fans say. Not even Top 5 but still fun.

The narrative that bloodpop was this evil puppet master forcing her to make mid music is so pea brained. It sounds like the two of them worked really hard to put something together during that time in her life. I don't envy him for being in that position at all.

-It is one of her worst albums but not because it's particularly bad but because of how mid most of the songs are. -The era should have been longer. -Most of the songs should have had a bridge and her shortening the songs was her following that trend at the time. -Bloodpop did a terrible job with his bland production and ruined the Haus Labs version of Babylon as well. -A collab between Ariana and Gaga should have been better than Rain On Me and that song suits Ariana way more then Gaga(same with Sour Candy and BlackPink). -It is her most cohesive album but only because the songs all sound the same kind of like Hard Candy by Madonna. Which shows cohesive/= good always -Stupid Love should not have been a single at all, it is one of her worst lead singles and the video is incredibly cheap looking. -It has some of her worst lyricism especially in Fun Tonight and Plastic Doll.

I wouldn’t call it her worst album but definitely her most flat body of work. I love Alice. Plastic Doll and Free Woman are definitely underrated.

CSTH and KFL should’ve been on the standard version because they’re honestly better than half of the other songs The Abra MV is amazing but slightly overrated

Unpopular opinion: its really one of her best works. Holistically, it feels cohesive, the art direction is superb, and thematically stands with her other albums that merge dark themes with pop dance music, which to many artists would never work but thats what makes Gaga so incredible that she’s able to weave two things that otherwise would not exist together and yet they do. It’s camp imo, that she’s telling the audience some pretty dark things and is doing it to the beats of 90s inspired house music. And when we all thought the Ball would be pink and colorful and alien like, she subverts our expectations by setting the show in a brutalist prison which is brilliant imo.

Not really a take but I'm gonna take a chance to claim plastic doll as a transfem anthem idc. I don't care if it wasn't gagas intention when writing it. The transfem reading of the song is what comforts me the most and is what I'll personally embrace.

Another one: it is an album by Lady Gaga. Some of you aren’t brave enough to admit this, but it is true.

There are so many layers in it for me, like how Disease wouldn’t hit as hard as an opener if Alice/Chromatica didn’t exist, and that ghoulish ‘I can be your antidote tonight’ being one of my favorite vocal deliveries in any song ever, and the Alanis-esque bridge, and that OUTRO which somehow makes the ending of MTN feel Iike child’s play, and the rolling stone video of her breaking down the song, and how our first taste of Mayhem ended up being the album opener, and how the song solidified a true return to form mixed with something we’ve never seen from her before. Disease also is possibly a top 5 in her entire discography for me and I’ve been stanning hard since Just Dance, so there’s that factor too. To quote the end of the godly Stuck on F’n You, ‘…I could go on forever’.

It is undeniably one of the most impactful songs this year. Literally everybody knows Abracadabra, the chant and everything. and people don't seem to be afraid to say they like Lady Gaga anymore? Has anybody noticed that? Like Abracadabra was pretty unconventional (realizing it coulda been less conventional, it's just she was early in her career her stuff was unconventional. Then it became the convention. you know it's true) but it's not tabboo to like her anymore! even when she is being extremely her unique self.

I'm glad you died in the last season

Vanish Into You is one of the worst songs on the album. It starts off loud and abrasive and stays completely one-note until the end when she finally stops screeching throughout the chorus.
