Ive been watching this video, and feeling so frickin' nostalgic for this period of being a Little Monster There was no concern for the quality of vocals or general sound at all. Just all-out full-frontal authentic sound and art.

I randomly had these songs stuck in my head and decided to relisten… and wow. The slow-burn tracks, which at first seemed so sparse and bare, actually packed with melodies and instrumentals. Haunting, atmospheric, hypnotic and totally LP1/EP1-like. I don't know why I avoided them, but they clicked.

My biggest gripe with TDD is not so much that it’s bad but, like others are saying, it’s underbaked. I think I’ve said this before but, I think what Netflix should’ve done is they should’ve offered the opportunity to make two videos: one that is full balls to the wall Lady Gaga x Tim Burton which is a continuation of the previous MAYHEM MVs (Mistress of MAYHEM vs. EtherealGa narrative) and one that centers the choreography to be marketed and distributed for social media purposes (which would likely be similar to what we got). Reminiscing on some of the promo, specifically the single art, I can’t help but think about the missed opportunity of basing the video on The Red Shoes: the Mistress cursing and torturing EtherealGa to wear a pair of ballet slippers and dance until she dies. Perfect follow up to Abracadabra and a potentially iconic video. Genuinely disappointing.

I don’t think TDD is hated, it simply didn’t satisfy people because they expected more from Tim Burton, but I’ve never seen anyone say that the video is BAD

THIS. THIS. THIS. This is the reason why Chromodumbtica era was doomed. By doing this stupid show, she forced on herself not to do 'covid' mistakes, so she stopped herself from filming music videos, doing live show etc.etc. because she had to be the best "good kid" example to the entire world and the music industry. so she basically just sat at home and did nothing, until the VMA performance.

I feel that Born This Way and MAYHEM kinda did everything they could’ve done sonically, without sounding too much.
