update: No major announcements made. She said releasing new music in 2026 is possible and it depends on how her writing is going. Gave no comment on possibly collab w/ Abel but said she loves him. Promoted more content from Harlequin coming to fans (likely the special we already know about). Confirmed tour ends in April. "Lady Gaga revealed to Zane Lowe that she’s been in the studio making new music. Stay tuned for the full interview tomorrow at 9am PT on Apple Music!" via Gagadaily on Twitter https://x.com/gagadaily/status/2001502204130115710 Quotes from Gaga in clip: “I was in the studio yesterday, I’ve been making a lot of music” “It’s kind of the best making music when you get to see your fans every night. You’re energetically just right where you need to be.” “I’m really, really happy.” ** (sorry link won't embed)93 points

Making new music while touring, we are really back in the Fame Monster era58 points

Idc if it’s Total Mayhem or not, but the fact that she’s making new music is so exciting! The passion and love she has for performing this era is unlike anything we’ve seen in years; I’m happy that’s made her energetic and inspired to make more music51 points

Honestly, I think all the theories about her working overtime to get ready for family plans are just ignoring the obvious answer. She's working overtime because she loves it again. This is the first decade in a decade where she's not been struggling mentally and is truly happy and in love with music again. And the result of that is that she constantly wants to create. Exactly like how TCB saw her essentially be reborn and be ready to get back to doing this. She hasn't stopped since then and its not just because of any family plans. Its because she's connected to music again and letting it flow freely.28 points

I feel like every new album cycle she talks about how much she was struggling the prior album cycle. I feel like other than the grind, she will look back so positively on the Maybem era21 points

To the people saying, "Something is definitely coming soon. She wouldn't do this interview for no reason." Well, the reason is Grammys promo/campaigning. This was just a quick thing she did to keep up the engagement for MAYHEM and Harlequin going into awards season. Y'all shouldn't have expected any definitive announcement, but the fact that she's in the studio and didn't completely rule out new music in 2026 is very exciting. That IS a headline.14 points

Is there even enough material left in this world to produce more variants for this woman12 points

We got more information than I expected. The way she’s so casual about making new music right now is huge because she usually likes to keep it a secret. Touring and writing music is one of her best combos not to mention getting Michael’s D must have that creativity through the roof.11 points

Makes me wonder how horrible Bloodpop was to collab with if she had to be DRAGGED to make music and now she's making it on tour11 points

Imagine hating Killah (read: one of the best songs on the album). Couldn’t be me.11 points

Okay so she seems really suspicious about The Weeknd rumours, I’d say based on her being a terrible liar that it’s definitely happening.10 points

I mean, diva, that was obviously because of her mental state at the time10 points

Okay but interviews like this never “just” happen right? It has to be some kind of promo?10 points

“Her next plans are to start a family… get married… babies… no new music…” HA! Just because Gags wants to have a normal personal private life doesn’t mean she’s gonna stop being an artist!!! Love Mother Monster feeling inspired10 points

I'm so happy she's happy. I'm so happy she's able to feel creative, and at the same time, have love. And we get the best part of it, new music.10 points

In just two years, Rae has gone from star TikTok dancer to being Grammy-nominated for best new artist. She reflects on her critically acclaimed debut and how she’s learning to reclaim and relinquish control. No one in pop has had a year like Addison Rae. She may not be the biggest star – that remains Taylor Swift – or even the most commercially successful breakout act. But the dreamy dance-pop haze of her debut album, Addison, made her into an artist’s artist, loved by the likes of Charli xcx and Lana Del Rey – the leftfield pop acts who paved the way for someone like her. Like a pre-Brat Charli, or perhaps Sky Ferreira, the 25-year-old is the pop connoisseur’s choice, justly earning comparisons to Del Rey, her fellow Louisiana girl Britney Spears and Ray of Light-era Madonna, while knowing her way around her R&B and Jersey club. She’s up for best new artist at next year’s Grammy awards – and with Addison and its knowingly anaesthetised single Headphones On placing in the Guardian’s top five albums and tracks of 2025 respectively, she’s our artist of the year. https://www.theguardian.com/music/ng-interactive/2025/dec/18/i-enjoy-fame-its-very-exposing-and-raw-though-you-pay-a-price-addison-rae-the-guardians-artist-of-the-year Congratulations Addison Rae9 points

There gotta be reason why this interview happen, we just don't know it yet, no artists do any interviews for casual chat to catch up like it's a brunch.9 points
-
No shade, but I think the reasoning is relatively obvious: they pulled it at the time to avoid compounding the heat she was getting about Joker 2 and are releasing it now as part of the campaign for Harlequin to win Best Pop Vocal Album.9 points

Yeah, she’s definitely gotten into the habit of scheduling impromptu interviews to discuss new music when nothing’s coming /s9 points

The GRAMMY Museum is thrilled to welcome 14-time GRAMMY, Oscar, and Emmy Award winner Lady Gaga to the Museum's intimate 200-seat Clive Davis Theater for an evening celebrating Harlequin, currently GRAMMY® nominated for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album. The event will feature a discussion and a premiere screening of her film, LADY GAGA IN HARLEQUIN LIVE – ONE NIGHT ONLY. LADY GAGA IN HARLEQUIN LIVE – ONE NIGHT ONLY is a cinematic performance film shot at The Belasco in downtown Los Angeles, featuring Gaga performing Harlequin in its entirety. Executive produced by Gaga and Michael Polansky and shot partially on film, it captures a one-night-only performance created exclusively for her fans. This special event marks the first time she’s sharing it on screen. Harlequin serves as a singular love letter from Gaga to both her character and music lovers around the world. The album launched at the very top of the Billboard Jazz chart and secured prominent placements across the Billboard 200, Top Albums, and Top Pop Albums charts. Executive produced by Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky, the project also opened among the leading titles on Spotify’s Global and U.S. Debut Album charts. Harlequin is influenced by the vast American musical lexicon, yet also draws from modern and vintage pop. The album includes unique and original arrangements of “Happy Mistake,” “Oh, When The Saints,” “World On A String,” “That’s Entertainment” and more. Critics worldwide have hailed the album as an unparalleled achievement, praising Gaga for once again pushing musical boundaries and delivering a genre-defining, instant classic that showcases her timeless versatility. USA TODAY called it "easily one of her finest moments on record," Spanning genres and styles, BILLBOARD said, “Gaga manages to turn even some of the most beloved pop classics in American culture into fresh reincarnations,” ROLLING STONE described the album as "[a] luxuriant album of jazzy swing, mostly standards, right in her sweet spot," while VANITY FAIR said “the vocal performances on Harlequin are truly some of Gaga's best work.” Notably, Harlequin marks Lady Gaga’s first jazz-inspired album since the passing of her longtime collaborator Tony Bennett. The album represents a step forward in bringing classic standards into the modern era, as if these timeless songs were reimagined through the lens of all the music that followed. Gaga breathes new life into these beloved tracks, combining her deep love of jazz with a fresh, avant-garde approach, honoring the past while pushing it into uncharted territory. https://www.universe.com/events/reel-to-reel-lady-gaga-in-harlequin-live-one-night-only-tickets-Q6DJ84?fbclid=IwdGRjcAOvabdjbGNrA69pqmV4dG4DYWVtAjExAHNydGMGYXBwX2lkDDM1MDY4NTUzMTcyOAABHqbrCKscmgra6PPHTAqAQRwaJVMicyfz5nnlOTBzMyP8r-_E0ZfJstt8fJHr_aem_d8342bFm6mdtR0xtotSVNw8 points

Okay so I’m gonna be a little delulu. Gaga has been teasing Total Mayhem for awhile. It’s also been rumored for awhile leading me to believe that it’s been ready to go for awhile. What if- WHAT IF Gaga is being proactive af and making content so that after the tour, her ass can get prego and married but still keep us fed without having to do pretty much anything. So I’m talking: Total Mayhem is ready, maybe comes alongside the Mayhem Ball recording, maybe a cute little music video or two that are already recorded, and then whatever the album is she’s working on now8 points

Imagine Gaga is making a true fan album and knows she's going to be gone on an extended hiatus so she wants to feed the fans and say thank you for sticking by her all these years as she takes a pause to start a family with Michael...even if she wanted to get right back into it ASAP it's still 2 years minimum She already performed Brooklyn Nights (technically an unreleased song). She teased she considered Frankenstein for MAYHEM and discussed IF SHE EVER released ACT II...it would be totally different. Maybe that was her hint all along that she's going back to her vault and giving the fans what they've wanted all these years. It would be TOTAL MAYHEM if she finally remastered and polished and finished unreleased music like Frankenstein, TEA, Princess Die, Brooklyn Nights, etc by reworking them they essentially became different songs so maybe she found a loophole to release them???8 points

I hate they hinted at her collabbing with the Weekend 😭 I hope it never gets released8 points

All 9 surprise songs and 5 bow songs across the Australian shows, all filmed by me. I'll post the full list below. I've always had a fascination for digital archiving and preserving when it comes to Gaga, especially things that are truly one-off and likely to never happen the same way again. I grew up watching the greats like @ChicaSkas and @gagafrontrow record and preserve shows and make them available for all fans to enjoy, and with my first time at seeing Gaga in 11 years, across all the Australian MAYHEM stops, I knew these shows would be EXTRA special to me. I knew I would probably be too overwhelmed in the moment to truly enjoy and take in each of these performances, plus I figured many other fans would love to see them too. I tried my best to not look at my screen while filming these, which means that at times, they can be shaky, have bad exposure/lighting, or have things obstructing the view. But I figure as long as the moment is captured, that's all that matters. I hope you guys appreciate and love these moments as much as my friends and I do. It only shows the last video added, but click on the top right box to toggle the playlist and access the other videos. I'm also working on audio-only remastered versions, much more audiophile-friendly which should hopefully be available soon. Enjoy Brooklyn Nights (Live) The Edge of Glory (Live) [Melbourne] 1000 Doves (Bow) 1000 Doves (Live) Marry The Night (Live) Rain On Me (Bow) [Melbourne] Rain On Me (Live) The Edge of Glory (Live) [Brisbane] Free Woman (Bow) Hold My Hand (Live) The Edge of Glory (Live) [Sydney] Stupid Love (Bow) Always Remember Us This Way (Live) Rain On Me (Bow) [Sydney]7 points
