I'll never understand the whole fuss over the engagement rings that celebrities wears

It's a cute mid album track but not strong enough for what they wanted it to be (a TikTok dance trending smash). The verses and post are better than the actual chorus. The chorus and some of the instrumental feel wayyy too similar to KFL and SOAM. The trancey vibes were really refreshing and something she hasn't done much. But then the chorus came in... Lastly, the whole concept of the song being a literal dance. It's a bit too TikTok pandering and on the nose. Several other songs from MAYHEM deserved MV treatment over TDD. With that said, I do enjoy the song and video, but just my opinions.

I love MANiCURE, but I wish the album version emphasised the rock instrumentation the way the live versions do. The album version gets stunted by the production.

Idk why journos disregard that Gaga herself considers TFM a separate album, but I see it all the time (Rolling Stone, Pitchfork etc.). But if we’re including pop solo records, MAYHEM is her 7th (she said, somewhat cheekily, she sees Harlequin as LG6.5).

There's 2 things. We knew about the song way to early as a fanbase and that built up a lot of misplaced hype and unrealistic expectations. The song was doomed to disappoint. But also the song is a blatant (but absolutely fun) corporate attempt to recreate an organic viral moment. They never work

There's nothing wrong with it. Apparently just not what some LMs wanted atm. In a few years those same LMs will be complaining that she isn't dropping random single/video tie-ins and will wish they were getting things like The Dead Dance.

The performer has partnered with Royal Caribbean to stage a three-night sailing packed with Siwa-themed events and appearances. Yeah but there's always this more sour side of things. Like, Gaga would probably have said nothing about trans rights if she wasn't being actively pulled on stage to receive a Grammy. And even then, the statement sounded like a platitude. A general "being queer is cool" when there are so many specific attacks against the queer community, especially trans people, that she could have and still should be calling attention to. "I was Born This Way" just doesn't cut it for me anymore. Probably due to my own radicalization and disgust at the active destruction and vitriol coming from the right and the apparent apathy of people like Gaga and apolitical types, but yeah. 2012 Gaga would be burning the flag in front of the white house and leading a J6 styled riot by now but 2025 Gaga just says "being gay is totally cool, guys. Btw have you met my fiance? He's made life worth living xoxoxoxoxo" And again, if she never earned my respect in the first place I wouldn't care. Like, Taylor can go to hell 'cause I don't give a damn about her but I love Gaga and I want her to continue being the light she used to be. No hate, just disappointment.
