Despite Bad being in the top 15 best selling albums of all time, it did less than Thriller, so Mike decided to shift his focus. Of course, he still cared about his position on the top of the industry but his next album was made with the intention of defining him as an artist. And the album after that defined him as a person. It wasn't until his last album where he was just making music to make music. Taylor could do the same. Sacrifice taking over the top ten every time she drops an album in favor of making an album that's actually worth a spin or two. Music that actually has something to say I know she can do it, she's done it before, she just needs to prioritize maturity, growth, integrity, and sincerity over greed.
