  7. For me 'Addison' is slowly becoming a pop classic in the truest sense of the word and one of my all time favorite albums. I have been listening to this album for the entirety of the summer and actually still do, and it still sounds fresh and replayable. I know it didn't really pull numbers, but artistically and musically the record was groundbreaking. Even the songs that felt weaker on the first listen grew immensely on me. Aquamarine is like glitter in musical form, Times Like These is hypnotic, In The Rain is the perfect glossy midtempo dance song, Headphones On is peak trip hop with indie tinges. We were not ready for this POP EXCELLENCE and I genuinely can't wait to hear more music from her. Should the other girlies be scared? Share your thoughts below.

  13. I mean, agreed that he’s not on the same level as Mussolini, but labeling Kirk’s takes as “questionable” is also significantly whitewashing his rhetoric. This is a guy who said the Civil Rights Act was a mistake, helped orchestrate January 6th, and recently advocated for Trump using the military to occupy every American city. Kirk was clearly a fascist.

  17. Kirk on the man who attacked Nancy Pelosi's husband "And why is he still in jail? Why has he not been bailed out? By the way, if some amazing patriot out there in San Francisco or the Bay Area wants to really be a midterm hero, someone should go and bail this guy out. I bet his bail's like 30 or 40,000 bucks. Bail him out, and then go ask him some questions. I wonder what his bail is? They're going after him with attempted murder, political assassination, all this sort of stuff."

  21. I had so many thoughts about this situation yesterday, but the thread got locked Let me say this: I don't feel a morsel of empathy for him whatsoever. He was one of the biggest voices in the Trump/MAGA sphere, and much of his rhetoric plagued people's minds with racism, xenophobia, homophobia, transphobia, and sexism. He has said so much sh*t about all kinds of groups of people that the fact that he brought up his own demise doesn't make me sad at all. I'm not mourning him, and I don't think you should be unless you are a defender of his or support his rhetoric. To be frank, I find the online "backlash" to people's apathy toward the situation incredibly frustrating. We do not have to mourn him. We do not have to be sad he's gone. He didn't give a sh*t about children who were murdered in schools by gun violence, he didn't give a sh*t about queer people being berated for their existence, he didn't give a sh*t about immigrants or minority groups, and the list goes on. He didn't care about anyone except Trump and furthering this extremist, Christian, straight, white, male agenda. He wouldn't have cared if anyone else died, so there is no reason to expect that people are going to give him the same grace. Also, the amount of "we may have had a difference of opinion..." posts I've seen is f*cking insane. THIS WAS NOT MERELY A DIFFERENCE OF OPINION. He was a Nazi and perpetuated hatred and bigotry of all kinds. Stop trying to downplay the kind of rhetorical sewage he spewed on a daily basis. Let's remember that words have consequences and power. The damage he (and people like him) have done will be more long-lasting than his death. Lastly, this kind of goes with the last paragraph, but I find many celebrity/online leftist personalities' reactions to this extremely annoying. It's the same "we had a difference of opinion" bullsh*t sprinkled with "political violence is never the answer." News flash! This country was founded on political violence! "Political violence" isn't a new f*cking concept. People are acting like this is a recent thing, as if violence has never been used in the history of the US...Honestly, I think the situation has exposed a whole bunch of spineless leftists. People in Nepal are literally protesting and rioting against their corrupt ass government while we're over here like "omg but what about his friends and family??". You will never see anything remotely progressive done at a federal level in the foreseeable future because leftists always feel the need to placate the alt-right.

  26. The alleged shooter wasn't even black... Just goes to show people will make up any reason to blame minorities or democrats when they haven't even caught the guy or found a motive... Trump most of all should be ashamed to increase hate speech towards Democrats when there's no evidence for that. And even if there was...he should be UNIFYING the country...not dividing it even more

  27. Saying something bad happening is a worthwhile cost and actively opposing policy designed to prevent that cost happening is an endorsement. He repeatedly took money from Pro-2A organisations and profited off of those school shootings. Being an active accomplice is an endorsement. He also has called for the killing of minorities. He explcitily, and repeatedly while alive, endorsed the Leviticus verses which condemn homosexuality and endorse the punishment of stoning for it and regularly stated he wanted to end the separation of church & state and enact biblical law. He cited Leviticus 20:13 as "God's pefect law".

  28. My opinion nobody asked for: His reaction to mass shootings in the US, Gaza massacres and animal cruelty was ''oh well''. The world is allowed to react the same to his death even though killing is wrong. 🤷‍♀️ Stream ''Addison''.

  31. @Economy That being said Poland can now make the best of its situation and it has lucrative options other than nuclear weapons. Recently, it was suggested that it should develop moors and wetlands to stop Russia's tanks. And I think it's a brilliant idea. ( https://www.wesodonnell.com/p/europes-new-secret-weapon-against ) The wetlands would be a return to the old ecological state of these borderland regions. Historically, there were moors and swamps in the region around Kaliningrad and Elblag, and these were drained by the German Empire. Ironically, once they were drained, decades later Russia came, defeated Germany, and occupied Poland and East Germany. Who knows how history would have unfolded if the moors had remained. In any case, I think the swamps would be an effective defense. There are swamps between Crimea and the mainland, which is why Ukraine did not even attempt to recapture Crimea in 2014 and afterwards. And along the border with Belarus, artificial waterways could be created, similar to the Dnieper, which serves as a border. But it seems that Poland is not willing to do so because it would require resettling people, which politicans do not want because they care more about votes and being re-elected ( and moors are unpopular because they bring mosquitos and people have to move) than ultimately about Poland's security and Poland expects NATO to rescue it instead but NATO is led by other countries' politicians, too, and they likewise care more about being re-elected than sending soldiers to Poland, which is equally unpopular among voters. However, it is also necessary to show initiative on your own and Poland is too passive. Now Poland called the UN Security Council for a session tomorrow which is pointless because Russia will veto it, and all Poland does is talk and discussion but no real action, which is a sign of how weak and clueless Poland is because a strong nation would show peppiness. "For now, Warsaw and Helsinki plan to focus on state-owned lands to avoid clashes with private landowners. However, experts admit larger-scale projects would inevitably displace farmers and foresters." I'm sorry but with such an attitude Poland is not doing enough to deter Russia. It wants to deter Russia but at no costs, and without making people upset. It's not gonna work. https://thegaze.media/news/nato-frontline-states-turn-to-wetlands-as-natural-defence-against-russia Greetings to your hot Polish wife, by the way
