Back when MAYHEM was released, there were a few songs I didn't really, and Vanish Into You was one of them. I thought it was too Disney-esque and popular-sounding for my taste. However, months passed by, and now I appreciate it as the happy and euphoric masterpiece it is. If there are songs where I feel obligated to scream the chorus along, VIT is one of them. Such a healing and beautiful song.

I thought the acting was great.

Since this time last year she has gone from a cowgirl, to being hit by a ****ing car, to dancing in a church while a lady in cunty red spikes watches her, to half the album being disco. Then to sitting at a top of a dress, in a grave and in a boat on the tour, and now she’s a broken doll in Mexico. This really is PEAK Lady Gaga. All of her talents, all of her genres, all of her styles compiled and we truly see her shine like never before. So much love, so much joy, so much MUSIC! I disagree. She gave the fans everything this era. It’s a vocal minority that come on here and complain constantly on every thread about it. The majority of her fans, not ones who post on GGD, love this era. She delivered DarkGa with an album similar to BTW without sounding reductive. A traditional Gaga dance pop track and video. The intro to her tour with Bloody Mary- Abra- Judas- Aura-Scheisse is complete fanservice. The surprise acoustic songs is fanservice. DWAS sounded like a hit the moment I heard it. Some changed their mind but there are still some that whine about it. Abracadabra was a hit and a significant one for this year. It had longevity and reached viral moments, top areas of radio, top sales, etc. just not all at the same time. It still is one of the biggest hits released this year in the US and elsewhere. Overall, she delivered her most critically acclaimed era, fan favorites in a style fans have been clamoring for, the most attended concert in history, the biggest song released this decade and one of the highest of all time, the most amount of singles since BTW, a 17 track album, lengthiest tour since BTWB, and a number of excellent one off performances on award shows and other events. I for one like TDD and it really brings a sense of completeness and cohesiveness to Mayhem while still offering a different experience.

Random thought but find a fave that give you 4 music videos in a year nowaday MAYHEM has a fantastic run

On the inauthentic/it will be a hit debate. It feels unorganic in the sense it is so obvious that this song, her Wednesday appearance etc are all as a result of a very organic social media trend from Season 1. This reads like trying to recreate that organic viral moment. So I agree that it feels forced as a result. As for it becoming a hit? Who knows, payole from netflix will help a lot. But social media has always had a habit of mocking and rejecting things designed to replicate a previous viral trend.

Listening to Mayhem with these three songs added, just further solidifies its greatness and that it should absolutely win Album of the year at the Grammies!! The Dead Dance is already underrated AF and an absolute banger. I won’t take the slander I’ve been seeing online.
