Personally, I found Chromatica to be full of highs and emotional depth. Songs like 911, Sine From Above, and especially Replay hit me really hard, both musically and lyrically. For me, it’s far from flat — it’s a rollercoaster in the best way. I think the album's strength lies in how it blends dance music with some pretty heavy themes.

That's kinda a smart tactic tbh. Like filming tons of alternative endings and rotating them every few days. Sort of genius but kinda desperate too

One Gaga thing that still baffles me to this day…is the missing second verse for Alice.. wtf were they thinking?????!! “HOW CAN WE KEEP THIS SONG UNDER 3 MINUTES!!!!!!!!” ?????????? Alice is one of the best songs on chromatica, but sadly one of the only songs in her entire discography that doesn’t follow the typical song structure of having a second verse!!!! I understand pushing boundaries and not following the rules and being creative when it comes to song structures - but this feels more like following trends of making songs less than 3 minutes long so my final question - would Alice have been BETTER or WORSE with a second verse????????

It’s actually quite the commentary on how society’s taste has become so watered down. There’s much less interest in anyone willing to push the envelope/expand artistic expression, and more interest in the plain and mundane - something that feels more “every man,” simple and unoffensive in any way.

I would guess this is about YouTube policy, the old video had blood and they are very strict about blood on the platform, that can lead to the video being age-restricted and it hurts the algorithm.
