  1. DWAS has now logged 46 weeks on the Hot 100 and breaks out of a tie with Shallow, which stayed on the chart for 45 weeks. (This metric is not about which songs stayed in the top ten the longest, it’s about how long they stayed in the Hot 100 overall.). It looks like DWAS will likely also pass her longest charting hit Just Dance also. JD stayed on the chart for 49 weeks. DWAS is not only still on the chart at 45 weeks, it’s still in the top 10, so it def seems very likely that it will remain within the top 100 for at least 4 more weeks and probably for even longer. https://www.forbes.com/sites/hughmcintyre/2025/07/13/lady-gagas-vintage-duet-beats-her-oscar-winning-smash/

  3. I mean the unofficial merch people literally have no legal right to use her name or image and it’s all actually illegal and she could easily sue them to stop. So if she just gets an idea from their illicit activities I would hardly call that the more egregious of the activities. She has the right to sell her own image and name. They do not.

  4. Remembering how someone told me a couple years ago how Shallow was her last big song and she's too irrelevant now to have another #1 hit lol.

  8. Singer Billie Eilish and her mother, Maggie Baird, have been working with Universal Music Group (UMG) to find a more sustainable solution for the thousands of pounds of unsold concert merchandise the label has in its massive Nashville warehouse. Bravado, UMG’s merch arm, has stored unsold apparel there for years, if not decades. Rather than simply donating them – which can, in some sectors, just lead to apparel ending up in landfills or incinerated – Bravado partnered with Spanish clothing designer and textile manufacturer Hallotex to upcycle the old concert merch into new. The company is shipping more than 400,000 old T-shirts to Morocco, where Hallotex will unspool them into cotton yarn and then respin them into more than 280,000 new 100% cotton tees that UMG artists will use in the fall. Shirts that can’t be recycled will be shredded and turned into housing insulation. “We are drowning in clothes on this planet, much of which is in landfills, much of which is shipped to other countries to pollute their waters and their land,” Baird – Eilish’s mother – told Fast Company. “I think we have to be extremely thoughtful about what merch gets put out in the world – why does it exist, how is it made and what happens to it in its second life?” source source

  29. Watch: Was Lady Gaga's Rio concert really attended by 2.1m people? https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cm20rg0vvp9o After a reader wondered if 2.1 million people could really have seen Lady Gaga at Rio de Janeiro's Copacabana Beach in May, BBC Verify looked into it. The Lady Gaga concert was paid for by the seaside city in an attempt to revitalise its economy. Fans reportedly travelled from all across the country to see the grandiose performance, which was expected to bring in more than $100m (£75m) to the local economy. Rio officials heralded the 2.1 million attendance as a triumph. However, careful analysis by the BBC Verify team and a crowd density expert reveal it is highly improbable the claims are accurate. Instead, it would require the entire length of the beach, rather than a section, to comfortably fit more than two million people. Despite the BBC's findings, city officials have maintained their claims. They have not however explained how their data was measured.

  30. Beyoncé’s choreographer and one of her dancers said thieves broke into their SUV and stole numerous items, including jump drives containing unreleased music, footage plans for her show and past and future set lists. It happened less than 48 hours before the Grammy-winning artist kicked off her Cowboy Carter tour performances in Atlanta. An arrest warrant has been issued for a suspect. A spokesperson for Atlanta police said the break-in happened just after 8 p.m. July 8 inside a parking deck at Krog Street Market. Christopher Grant and Diandre Blue told police that they parked their rental black Jeep Wagoneer in the parking deck around 8:09 p.m. They discovered the trunk window had been damaged, and their two suitcases had been stolen when they returned to their SUV, according to an incident report obtained by Seiden. “Mr. Grant advised he was also carrying some personal sensitive information for the musician Beyoncé,” an officer wrote in the incident report. “He advised he was her choreographer and Mr. Diandre Blue was a dancer for her and that her hard drives for her upcoming show in Atlanta were stolen also. The hard drives contained water marked music, some un-released music, footage plans for the show and past and future set lists,” the officer added in the police report. The two members of Beyoncé’s team also reported clothes, designer sunglasses, laptops and a pair of AirPods Max headphones were stolen from the vehicle, police confirmed. source

  43. 1- Not such thing as a crowd density expert. Thats not a thing. 2- The Brazillian government didnt get the number by just guessing or looking at photos, they do these things by taking all sorts of data into account, like tourism that enters the country and the city, hotel rooms, phone GPS signals, drones, etc. 3- Guiness confirmed the numbers 4- Wtf is with this targeted bs? If Gaga's concert was inflated, so were all previous Copacabana concerts. But of course as soon as Gaga does something big, haters cant stand it so they go in to mythbust it.
