Earlier today I was in this big theater premiere event, and when we left the theater there was a DJ playing music in the foyer, and Vanish Into You was playing It was the beginning of the chorus and immediately I was like “I love this song, what a massive hit” and then 3 seconds later I realised it’s VIY and that NO ONE HERE knows it but me. No one was singing along because NO ONE KNEW this song. I looked around and it felt absurd, like if Bad Romance was playing in a room full of people and no one knew it. It was SUCH a weird feeling. Every day that goes by without it being a single is a huge, HUGE waste
