Yeah... I think we need to be careful. For all intents and purposes, Abracadabra and the other Mayhem tracks are still very much 'new' songs. Unless they said 'a brand new, upcoming song', I would err on the side of caution and assume they mean songs from Mayhem. So far that first source is the only one alluding to a Wednesday-specific track. It's better to be surprised than disappointed.

I was in Singapore for the concert and stayed there until 27th May. They REALLY overplayed Gaga in the malls and on the streets, including Chinatown. In one of the malls on Bugis Street, they were playing ARTPOP (an album track). Apparently, the only gay club in SG played Joanne and A Star Is Born album tracks, the Free Woman remix, and I Like It Rough. I saw people wearing Gaga merch all around Singapore after the concert — on the streets, in MRT stations, and even at the airport. Impact was FELT. Singapore is a very small country (in contrast to, say Brazil) so numbers may not reflect that well globally but henny they really did stan hard.

IMO, I think Gaga felt so disconnected from her persona and the way she used to create that she had to create a concept to reverse engineer her understanding of what she used to do. So Chromatica is a meta concept she used (both a reference to the chromatic scale in music and the chromatic color scale) as a way of reintroducing and reintegrating the idea that she could use fantasy through visuals and music to tell her story again. I think, to some degree, it was just a way of recreating a safe space where she could create from that vantage point without fear of judgement because I think she felt pretty traumatized from the more fantastic/surreal elements of her work being both misunderstood in the past and also having served as a vehicle for some of her more self-destructive inclinations.

I actually think it's one of her stronger album titles, It’s stricking and it sticks. Anyone who hears the word would be curious to hear what its music and visuals sound and look like and everything post stupid love did not disappoint at all.
