  1. Let me tell you about my experience and what this show did to Gaga. The experience The show was scheduled to 9:45 PM local time, I'm from the metropolitan area of Rio (Imagine New York with Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens etc.). I left home by 6:30 PM, took a bus to downtown and then the metro to Copacabana. I arrived by 8:00 PM and there were a lot of people dressed up for the show, lots of LGBTQ folk etc. The hardest part was to get to the beach, the streets were already packed and let me tell you from the lines to get through security and snitching my way through the crowd was a slow process. I wanted to go to the first screen after the VIP area but there were simply too many people I couldn't physically get through. I tried another spot, there was a place with workout equipment by the sidewalk of the beach there were people hanging on it to get a better vision. I was not that close her, my view was not the best but I could see her at the top of the dress during the opening act and could see the area of the front stage where she sings Poker Face, Shallow etc. It was nice seeing her with my own eyes. I yelled a lot, I jumped and sang my heart out and just absorbed the best of the experience. I cried during Vanish Into You, had fun with the fun songs and it was the best. I've never been to a show and I was amazed by the sound quality. It was cinema quality sound outside. I could see the left screen of the stage and the right screen was a little bit blocked by coconut trees. She was fierce during the first acts but I think it was the fact we were singing every lyric and really absorbing everything it was making her emotional when she started feeling it. She was really emotional by the end with the fireworks and after singing Bad Romance she started singing again when the crowd was singing again at her. It was amazing. I made the best of the situation but a lot of people tried to piss me off, but I pissed them off more, so I won. I pushed people shoving phones blocking my view, and yelled/sang on people's ears blocking my view as well. Dismissed people trying to pick a fight, there was a lot of angly looks at me but I'm 5.9 so whatever lol. It was a nice 19° C but there were a lot of people so I was drenched in sweat and covered with sand. There were a lot of police there and security, so it was fairly safe, I just held my phone just in case, but around me was just normal people, some gays and lesbians and no weird people as in criminals. Anyway, it was a great experience but I'm not doing it again next year, only if it's my fave Björk. The show ended by midnight, she was only 15-20 min late and to get out of the beach area was slow and a lot of people pushing. I managed to get home by 2:45 AM. The tunnel connecting Copacabana with another neighborhood was packed with people and it was like carnival, they were still parting it and singing Bad Romance, it was amazing. I refuse to be one of those people recording every part of the show I took a few pictures, and that was it. Once we could get back to traffic because Copacabana was closed for cars we took an Uber home. The legacy I knew it would be a lot of people that but when I opened twitter on my way home I fully realized what I was suspecting it, that legacy was made that night, you could feel it. 2.5M people, it's a sea of people, I knew that would extend way back on the beach. During Shallow and Die With A Smile literally everyone was singing along. I don't even know if Rihanna or Beyoncé could top a show like that, Gaga set the bar very high. It was very nice of her to change her costumes, I really like the green one. Gagachella was nothing compared to this show, Brazil is the best when it comes to stan so yeah we won. Despite people screaming at her window for days you can tell she really appreciates the cherish. Maybe her silence was only for security reasons and not because she's awful like some Katy stans were trying to push lol. Now let's wait for the official reviews to confirm what people already felt there. If you have any questions or curiosities let me know. DarkGa forever.

  2. Hey, Monsters Much of the forum staff will be attending the same Mayhem Ball date this September and after a bit of discussion we thought "why not do something for the community?" So, here's the idea. We wanted to give GGD members a chance to get a letter to Gaga we would then try to meet up with Bobby or even Gaga personally and hand over all the letters, bound together in a book Disclaimer: This project is entirely dependent on Bobby and Gaga's schedule the day of. There have been concert dates in the past when she's been able to make time to see GGD staff after the show and other dates where she's been entirely unavailable. We will do our absolute best to get your letters to her but please don't be too upset if things end up not working out A few notes: - Mods will be reading your letters. Anything you share is 100% confidential and judgement free. Our eyes and Bobby/Gaga's eyes will be the only ones seeing what you've written. - We don't have a hard deadline for this, probably sometime in June is when we'll send them off to be printed so we can ensure we have book in hand well before September, so you have a while to work on your letter. - Please be polite don't just write "where's Act II" four hundred times and call it a letter we want to create something that shows just how special Gaga and her work is to so many of us, to the point we spend our days together on GagaDaily. We want her to be able to open it and read any random note when she's feeling isolated from the people whose lives she's touched. - You can submit your letters via my inbox here on GGD. If you are unable to send a message to me, please tag me in this thread so I can troubleshoot and send you a message. If you have questions or suggestions, feel free to leave them! This is a community project after all
