unpopular opinion : I'm so happy she's going arenas because we'll be able to see her far closer than if she were in a stadium tour. Paying expensive tickets to see her performing on a screen, ugh.17 points

Hey, so that's a cruel thing to say about another human being. Especially on a fansite that's dedicated to said human. Maybe don't be so f*cking rude.12 points

Y'all gotta have a better eye for these things. It's clearly referencing 1950s suburban welcome signs, old film title cards, etc. And I'm sure it's not an accident given her recent TikTok with the same aesthetic.12 points

Abracadabra climbs +2 spots to a new peak of #14 on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart this week! https://x.com/RDTLadyGaga/status/190834460364578416410 points

The ARTPOP era, she had so many looks that were conventionally sexy, her body was insane too. I think Cake Like Lady GaGa was her sexiest material ever too. Cake was her peak, ARTPOP era her most consistently sexy era (that was around the time her äss went mini viral), and honorable mention to her Metallica look. It is the most I've seen her being lusted over by straight men, ever.10 points

Because it has nothing to do with the aesthetic she's going for on these billboards.9 points

When I was watching the MBT DVD and she asked if we think she's sexy, so I paused it and thought about it for a few days and then went back and said "yes, I do" and then kept watching the show.9 points

I really wish I could get into Ari's music. I listened to the new stuff on the deluxe album and found myself skipping every song halfway through the chorus9 points

FKA Twigs has been forced to pull out of all of her upcoming tour dates in North America this month. These dates also include two music festivals that she is no longer able to perform at – 2025 Coachella in Indio, Calif., and Ceremonia in Mexico City. This is the third time she cancelled her Mexico show and many fans expressed their disappointed in the comments. https://x.com/FKAtwigs/status/19083052690896077408 points

Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars’ “Die With A Smile” now ranks among the 10 biggest global chart hits of the 2020s decade. Pacing for #2 of the decade behind only “Blinding Lights” by the end of 2025. https://x.com/talkofthecharts/status/1908249509190394070?t=L638sMQ0o-q3QPP5QEQyzA&s=197 points

Also: why doesn’t she just use the gothic MAYHEM logo font with the inverted ‘A’7 points

Not some of you finding out right now that the whole aesthetic for Mayhem has been vintage horror since day one Yall saw gaga wear a cunty-diva-boots the house down outfit in Abracadabra and forgot about the whole retro tv promo videos for Disease, the glitch-screen videos on YouTube and Die With a Smile MV being a literal 70’s TV show7 points

It looks like that on purpose. It's referencing a specific brand of billboard and it's doing it well. Y'all are so annoying sometimes lol6 points

I understand the Joanne comparisons, but I don't entirely agree. It's weird because they feel completely different, yet they share similar messages. Joanne was supposed to be her "returning to her roots," but as she said in this interview, even though it was stripped down aesthetically/sonically speaking, she felt like she was further away from herself. In a way, it felt like a caricature of the "girl next door" persona that was supposed to be "real" and "genuine," but instead, felt very removed. I think MAYHEM is her returning to her roots to the Lady Gaga persona, and in doing so, I also think it's representative of who she was before the fame. This feels like what Joanne was trying to accomplish, but in a more authentic way that bridges her life before Gaga and her artistry as Gaga. We've known for years that some of her biggest inspirations were musicians like David Bowie, Prince, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, etc., and their sounds are heard all over this record. All that to say, I don't think this is her "most stripped down album" sonically. But maybe thematically. In regards to the aesthetics, I think that kind of vintage campy horror works perfectly with MAYHEM. Despite what some people thought when the album was first released, it IS dark. Disease, Abra, GOE, Perfect Celebrity, Can't Stop The High, Vanish Into You, Killah, Zombieboy, Kill For Love, Shadow Of A Man, The Beast, and DWAS all have a darkness or an edge to them, either lyrically or sonically. The album's dark, but because it's not exclusively this industrial/electro-grunge sound, many people dismiss its darker elements. That said, the record's also incredibly fun and funky. That's why I think she could lean into the camp. I mean, MAYHEM has some of her campiest tracks imo (e.g., GOE, Zombieboy, HBDUWM, Killah, Kill For Love, etc.). I think those campy horror aesthetics would be a great way of blending the two different sides of the album.6 points

I really think she's going through something she's not telling the public tbh. So ima keep it cute and just say I hope everything is alright with her.6 points

What a complete joke. In my opinion, canceling tour dates like this is pretty much the worst thing you can do to your fan base. You might as well just spit in their faces. People spend good money to travel and buy these tickets and plan accordingly. I had tickets to see Kesha once, and she canceled the day of because she was literally hung over, and I still haven’t quite forgiven her fully for that. Edit I'd like to clarify that cancelling for a medical emergency, like Gaga did, is completely fine, obviously. Also, for safety, like a bomb threat is obviously okay.6 points
