The hate yall have towards it and Taylor is really odd, since I have been back on this site the past 6 months it’s just filled with Taylor hate. Taylor didn’t create this kind of pop, just made it her signature since 1989. 1989 is the most successful album using 80s references in the past decade, it’s not like Gaga made it to be like “Taylor” but just used a popular 80s formula that works. if some of you got lost in the chorus because let me tell you, it’s the best chorus on the album (idc shoot me) and had fun with your chocolate dipped d*ldos out of your ass*s then you might enjoy it

She’s a versatile artist who’s influenced by many genres. If you only like TFM and BTW, then you’re a fan of those albums (which is fine), not the artist.

She never once said she was out rightly going back to her early Pop work only. She already told us that the album was like a shattered mirror. Ppl are so entitled to their opinions and expectations that we got to the point nobody listen or ready things anymore. I mean, look at the name of the album and the way she was constantly saying that there would be different genres on it, it’s not hard to get it. Give me a break

Maybe this'll get me crucified by 99% of this fanbase and forum, but I have to be completely honest here...I don't think Gaga is nearly as "dark" or "industrial" as many of you think she is. She absolutely has plenty of dark visuals, but with the exception of DITD and some songs on Born This Way, I wouldn't really call Gaga a "dark" artist. She's multifaceted and that's what this album represents. This album is most like The Fame imo, but that wasn't a "dark" album whatsoever—and it's not like y'all ever complain about a lack of darkness on that record. MAYHEM's visuals are certainly darker than what the album presents, but it's not like the album is devoid of any darkness whatsoever. Disease, Abra, Perfect Celebrity, The Beast, Zombieboy, and Killah all have elements of darkness in them. I've said this countless times, but she's said this album would have multiple genres and styles. This isn't a bait-and-switch. It's a she-told-you-what-she-was-going-to-do-and-you-ignored-it-anyway-now-you're-mad-for-no-reason. You can dislike the overall direction of the album if the funk/disco/R&B/rock stuff isn't your jam, but she didn't falsely advertise the album.

It's done, Mother said herself. Die With A Smile is NOT the first single of the album. The album was preceded by the release of two singles. Its lead single, "Disease", was released on October 25, 2024. "Abracadabra" followed as the second single on February 3, 2025. Mayhem also includes the Grammy Award winning global hit single "Die with a Smile", a duet with Bruno Mars, which was released on August 16, 2024.

idg why anyone found it so hard to get that disease was the first single even though DWAS is on the album and came out first disease was the first lead single that was release to promote the upcoming album DWAS was a standalone that made it on the album but wasn't released as part of the promotional campaign for the album
