So what, I’ve made many films with my partner but I don’t announce it to the world46 points

Can we all just assume the 35 that didn’t make the cut aren’t that good and not pester the woman for “Mayhem Act 2” for the next decade?38 points

“When I look back on my nachos, it’s not that I don’t want to see them exactly as they tasted, it’s just that I prefer to remember them in an artistic way. And truthfully, the lie of my nachos is much more honest, because I invented them. Clinical psychology tells us, arguably, that guacamole is the ultimate killer.”29 points

We have about one more day left, depending on timezones, until we finally get to hear Mayhem and I just want to say that I hope we all get to enjoy this final day of pre-release excitement because who knows when the next one will be! It’s been 5 years since Gaga’s last pop project and we don’t know what’s next ( we will be supporting regardless of what she does! ) so let’s all be positive today and have fun with all the rumors, opinions, speculations, etc one last time. I cannot believe it’s been 7 MONTHS since the Paris teasers and 9 since the Gaga Returns teaser, it all feels like yesterday. Like how did we just get here??? I can’t believe we’ve been officially anticipating this drop for almost 1 YEAR! That is CRAZY! I’ve said it a billion times on this app but I genuinely have such a good feeling about this project, I don’t think I’ve ever felt this confident that I will adore a Gaga album since becoming a little monster back in 2009. Disease and Abracadabra are literally spectacular, 2 of her best songs ever, the snippets we heard sound incredible as well, and Die With A Smile is one of her best ballads… like what does that say about this album??? I cannot wrap my mind around the fact that this album might just dethrone The Fame Monster for me or even come close to it! Anyways… I’m feeling super cheesy and emotional right now and wanted to write this. We’re so lucky to have Gaga after everything she’s been through, and even more lucky that she is so willing to still create music and gift us this incredible album that is SO obviously made just for us. I hope we get to appreciate it accordingly and return the gift by making it a major success for her! I really love this fandom, even with all it’s flaws, I’m happy that I decided to be Gaga’s fan and join it. Happy Mayhem Eve little monsters!21 points

- MAYHEM was first named Perfect Illusion as a reference to her true self Joanne - She's releasing the album a week later on Spotify and Itunes, so this friday will only be uploaded to YouTube - She worked with Red One on three tracks but neither of them are on the album - The album cover was AI generated - She's releasing Brooklyn Nights dance choreo with Richy later this week17 points

This album, without a doubt, whether you like it or not, is Gaga at her most authentic. I think this is Stefani Germanotta from the early 2000's before she became Gaga. It immediately reminded me of her earliest work from The Fame, pre The Fame even like Red and Blue. If you've listened to her oldest work, you can hear it: the theatrical, almost cheesy melodies, the Bowie-like guitar riffs, the old summer guitar disco motifs, the retro synths, the softer, more conventional kind of pop that still has a Gaga-esque twist. This is most likely what she always wanted to sound like before the public perception of "Lady Gaga" swallowed her during the heavy Dance Pop/ EDM era of music in the 2010's. Mayhem is what she had originally intended Gaga to be. Not to say any of her previous albums were not authentic, but so happy she finally felt that she could express her most authentic self through Mayhem. I can hear it.16 points

Her love for music is all over this project. I understand why her interview with Zane Lowe was done in that Lower East Side bar. This album is a distillation of the purest, truest, most authentic Gaga—and not just sonically. There’s an attention to detail that, I think, we haven’t had since Born This Way. Each song is masterfully crafted, has a life of its own, tells a story. It feels like she has true ownership of this project on every aspect. I could loop each song over and over and discover something new on every listen. I believe she has truly reawakened her passion for music while making this record. I think she’s had trouble connecting with that part of herself over the last decade. It shows that she’s had a lot of fun making this album, and it makes me so happy. The album is just incredible. We’re so back.16 points

I've been a monster since 2008 (and a member since GGD forums first opened) and reading all this I feel so nostalgic, I can't believe I'm scrolling on GGD anxiously waiting to hear her new record at age 32, just as I was at age 18. I remember so vividly going to get The Fame at Best Buy after listening to all the YouTube leaks of "Love Games" and "Dirty Ice Cream", listening to the radio premiere of Bad Romance at my Grandparents computer, sitting at a NYE dinner on Dec 31 2010 and refreshing Twitter to see "THE SONG 2 13 THE RECORD 5 23" and the iconic BTW jacket / ass shot (now a poster on my wall), followed by the Born This Way radio premiere in my dorm room, watching Gaga unravel in a thrilling, scary, and beautiful way at South by Southwest in the student center of my college, shedding tears as I heard my fraternity all gasp as we watched the Sound of Music tribute at an Oscars party, the radio premiere of "Perfect Illusion" in my first LA apartment's backyard, and my first listening to Chromatica on Spotify pacing the dark balcony in my Grandparents backyard during quarantine. Now I'm a completely different person. And so is Gaga! But, I'm still here <315 points
