I pray Abracadabra has amazing longevity throughout the year and ends up being Gaga’s 8th Top 10 IFPI Global Singles entry, extending her record once again as the female artist with most entries! Being released so early in the year should give it a nice start, so fingers crossed it has good stability. It would be a bigger gag than any BB nr. 1, proving she is THE global popstar once again! Abracadabra’s performance on YouTube is most telling to me. In my personal opinion, a song destined to have no future would not be performing there like this. It’s about to pull 2+ million views again on YT’s slowest day. English-language YT is dead. Look at the views for Ariana’s The Boy Is Mine & Yes, And?, Disease, Charli’s videos, Olivia’s Get Him Back!, etc. etc. 40 million views in 2 weeks was truly unpredictable and is kind of crazy

Any abra promo would have been overshadowed by the superbowl and SNL. so it was a smart move to waste them both on different songs.

Radio updates are good, Playlisting is good, Tiktok is on board. While the Numbers today are disappointing, the interest is still there. I think her Team is well aware of how quick the attention span of the generation is. My bet is that we're getting all the announcements we hope for (Abra physicals, SNL, possible Late Night, iHeart Radio Awards and maybe even Brit Awards ) within the next few days. I mean, we already know she'll be in Europe in a week, so thats probably when the promotion really kicks off.
