  22. Here's the whole interview: https://imgur.com/a/elle-9biqVSP In regards to MAYHEM's sound, they write "Her influences for Mayhem include '90's alternative electro-grunge, Prince and Bowie melodies, guitar and attitude, funky bass lines, French electronic dance, and analog synths.' From a genre perspective, she says, 'Mayhem is utter chaos! It breaks a lot of rules and has a lot of fun. It's about following your own chaos into whatever cranny of your life it takes you to.'"

  23. There was a time when she was the biggest act in the world, right? She was everywhere between TF/M/BTW and I would imagine it’s a lot for someone to have to grapple with, so for her to try to go back to that sound must be frightening as it comes with expectations (pointing at this site)

  27. … Gaga‘s struggle with how the public perceives her art. There’s a famous poem from Brian Patten, written in 1946 called „A Blade Of Grass“. ————— You ask for a poem. I offer you a blade of grass. You say it is not good enough. You ask for a poem. I say this blade of grass will do. It has dressed itself in frost, It is more immediate Than any image of my making. You say it is not a poem. It is a blade of grass and grass Is not quite good enough. I offer you a blade of grass. You are indignant. You say it is too easy to offer grass. It is absurd. Anyone can offer a blade of grass. You ask for a poem. And so I write you a tragedy about How a blade of grass Becomes more and more difficult to offer, And about how as you grow older A blade of grass Becomes more difficult to accept. ————— It‘s a poem about the misconception of what art or poetry truly is or can be. A poem can be as simple as a blade of grass, however society deems it as "not good enough" - why? As a society we believe that real art should be something as hard and difficult to understand, and Patten tries to debunk this idea. Art can be anything we want it to be; everything has meaning and beauty if we take the time to look for it. And that’s exactly what Gaga‘s philosophy has always been.

  37. I feel bad for her. She clearly still has the exact same artistic vision, she just isn't willing to sacrifice her sanity or mental health for it anymore (And I mean, thank god). She was someone who would die for her art, and now she values her life more. That comes with age, and finding things of meaning in your life. We should be grateful for that for her, and I hope she knows that she made the right choice. I feel like this era (along with Harlequin) has been her playing with her artistry without giving into the pressure, which VERY much excites me. She is finding a balance.

  38. Honestly love that for her. She grew up, she changed, and that's perfectly okay. She is doing what's best for her health. Both mental and physical. If that's boring, then oh well!
