I found out that going into new music from your favorite artists totally blind, without expectations, it's miles better than plunging into stan culture constantly waiting for things that won't happen anyway

This is completely unnecessary and abhorrent. The blame rests squarely on the shoulders of true crime culture. There is nothing that capitalism won't try to exploit for economic gain, and that includes all the people involved, who jump on the bandwagon without hessitation, without thinking about any possible victims, no matter how delicate and dangerous the subject matter is. And the worst part is that people consume it, believing that they are doing something valuable or fighting against the horrible practices being discussed. Spoiler alert: they are not. The only ones winning with this are Fortune 500 executives, like always. And ironically, they're winning money off a situation they themselves helped to hide.

Its not so much no promo. I actually think theres a bit of promo. Its more how its played out. It all feels very random or confusing at times. And the theres a build up that leads tò nowhere. Sometimes the promo Isnt very interactive. For example the promo for disease started with frames of the video. Which actually seemed Like AN horror, and seemed interesting. Then She gives us Just AN audio. We barely understood what was the cover art etc. Why promote with the video and not snippet of the Song of the video Isnt Released immediately. Don't know theres Always something frustrating

I should probably start this by clarifying that I’m a relatively new little monster-I get really into Gaga’s stuff back in 2020 during the pandemic and it really helped me through, and I’ve followed her closely ever since. For me, 2024 has easily been my favorite year in this fandom-the sheer amount of content was crazy, with so many different projects. What I loved most was the fact that each of these projects were different-we had the Fortnite collab in February, the Chromatica Ball film in may, DWAS in August, the random drop of Harlequin in September, joker in October, Disease in late October-everything was so different and that’s what i loved so much. There was always something new and different on the horizon. We were fed very well lol. Add to that all of the teases to LG7, and I think this year is honestly going to go down as one of Gaga’s best years, at least for me. I think a lot of people may end up overlooking it or writing it off because Joker bombed, or because she didn’t release an album this year, but I think all of the pieces really came together to give us something truly special. Honestly I’m gonna miss this year-I think it’ll be a long time until we get a year with so much variety and so many different projects…it was a really cool transitional period as we move into the LG7 era, which I’m sure we’re all very ready to dive into this year. but that’s just my two cents on it lol.

Honestly I feel like not doing a NYE spot for Disease & then an older popular hit like Bad Romance was just a massive missed opportunity to create some momentum going into LG7. DWAS is massive, but unless its more indicative of the LG7 sound than we realise then its not exactly going to lead into album interest.

You're so right about this. The way this album was teased but kinda some for chromatica Is Just painful for the fans. Even more casual fans, cause theres plenty Simply on her insta account. The timing for the teasing and releasing Is all wrong. Im curious abt the album, but i don't really care about It that much, honestly. I actually thought right away that the single being so distant from album Release wouldnt work. And here we are. Im not that bothered but i went from annoyed to whatever, ill listen when its released. Besides It all its Just not smart, She hops off and on at random with different things. Its confusing, disconected, serves no One. And She still works her ass off kinda for nothing in the end.

I really don't understand their strategy surrounding this album. They tease it in May like it's ****ing imminent, only to release a first single in October... And we still have no album title or release date by January. I mean you can't blame everything over how the music industry has changed... this is just a masterclass in how to kill a fanbase's excitement. And I'm not even talking about the GP's excitement, which is absolutely non-existent as they're probably still learning what Chromatica is. Sorry for the rant, I'm all about trusting the process and all that, but girl... give us something, for Christ's sake. Happy new year everyone
