  2. Yep I noticed that Disease music video is getting more attention, there's more Christians comments like "OMG JESUS SAVE US, SHE'S A DEMONIC PUPPET AND SHE MANIPULATE US" But also more positive comments saying "Wow it's underrated"

  3. Consistent streams (stabilized at 1 million/day on Spotify) and top 15 on pop radio! Maybe more of Kendrick’s songs fell off? Christmas music has also slightly underperformed this year overall. I said at the beginning of this month we as a fanbase could make a huge difference whether it charts this month or not because the point differences are so small in the low regions of the chart. A couple tens of thousands of streams can decide whether or not a song charts. It could have had a minute improvement compared to last week that allowed it to rechart

  4. ARUTW is now Gaga' 4th most popular song on Spotify, passing Shallow. Just Dance will also probably pass Shallow soon

  5. Disease will likely re-chart on the Hot 100 in the middle of the Christmas freeze! https://x.com/talkofthecharts/status/1870971324413452740?s=46&t=9j0fD_OoP-oouaRpW6KsNA Stream this playlist 5 times per day (at least 30 seconds per view, that’s it) per YouTube account! A couple thousand streams can make a huge difference!

  16. Robert Smith can relate to Chappell Roan when it comes to setting boundaries with fans. When asked about Roan drawing headlines as an artist not taking abuse from fans and the media, Smith talked about his experience as the lead singer of the prolific British rock band. Smith explained, “I think what you’re doing as an artist, you want people to feel like they’re engaging with you. But it is a modern-world phenomenon that there’s a sense of entitlement that didn’t used to be there amongst fans.” When The Cure started out, Smith felt that “it was kind of enough that we did what we did. As a consumer, I didn’t expect something more. It was enough to see Alex Harvey or to see David Bowie. I didn’t expect to hang out with them or get to know them, whereas now it seems almost like that is part of the deal.” Over the years when The Cure became more popular, though, Smith experienced obsessive fan behavior. “It can feel quite threatening, honestly. If you have people sleeping outside your front door, it can get very weird … You’re dealing with people who perhaps aren’t quite right all the time. How do you respond to this? It’s impossible, really.” Smith acknowledged how the experience for artists like Roan who rise to fame in such a short period of time can be even more difficult when “you’re not grounded at a lower level.” For The Cure, “it took us years and years and years of touring, going around the world and doing stuff until we’d started to get properly famous … But being famous, if you’re not enjoying what you’re doing, I can’t imagine many worse ways of living. It’s horrible being gawked at all the time and prodded and poked and people expecting more of you.” https://variety.com/2024/music/news/robert-smith-chappell-roan-abusive-fan-behavior-1236257465/

  17. Well the same woman used to have daily runway shows from hotels, did every talk show imaginable, preformed everywhere and was an omnipresent force. Nowadays (for her own physical/mental health) she's not nearly as present in pop culture. Also the fanbase grew up and moved on a bit.

  24. Not at all - 143 was distinctly and objectively, uninspired generic fluff. Gaga's album is going to be good. Disease is excellent, regardless of whether the GP is consuming. It was critically acclaimed by critics and long time fans alike.

  26. There's no such thing as a scrapped LG5... As per usual, she did various studio sessions with different producers until she stuck on an idea which ended up being Joanne. More on topic, I do entertain the idea that Frankensteined could show up on LG7. I don't quite remember how the "Chaos Angel" rumors started back in the days, but it's interesting that the chaos concept is making an undeniable resurgence today. It's exciting to think all will be revealed in less than 2 months.

  29. This... without promo ARUTW is a worldwide hit. If she would've performed it live a few times and they made it an official single it would've been her biggest song to date. I think it was only a promo single in the end?

  32. Not true. She told fans during one of the Joanne tour meet and greets that there was no "original LG5". She was simply in an exploratory phase for what would eventually become Joanne, as she was suffering from writer's block. When RedOne was describing his sessions with Gaga, he said they worked on some songs that explored a more singer/songwriter, acoustic vibe (what ended up shaping Joanne), and then they wrote a few songs that were more of a classic Gaga feel. This was not the direction Gaga herself wanted, though. Mark Ronson said Gaga initially met him at the Met Gala in 2015 asking to work together on music. He told her he was busy, since this was around the same time "Uptown Funk" was blowing up. Gaga said she would wait for him. They finally met up at the end of the year and started working on the album a couple months later. The version of the Joanne album they recorded together in those sessions was extremely different to what we got in the end. It was very stripped back and raw. Interscope didn't like this direction, which is why BloodPop was brought in to rework some of the material and make it more commercial. As far as her "revisiting" this mythical concept, I think she's been doing it for the past decade in her music already. This quote specifically stands out as something that showed up a lot on Joanne and Chromatica: And Gaga clearly has a lot still to say. Thanks to a mixed bag of projects, the endorsement of a jazz legend, and an approach to touring that didn’t leave her feeling “beaten to a pulp,” it’s been a year of revitalization and rebirth. In fact, she’s so inspired that she’s already been working on new songs for her next project, though she won’t reveal much about it—except with a metaphor. “I want the fans to be surprised,” she says. “But I will just tell you that it’s a wonderful, soul-searching experience. And it’s very unlike the last album in that way. I made that album on the road. ARTPOP was, you know, the acid-making record. And this record is like—my old self as a cadaver. And I’m just, I’m operating on my old self.” https://www.yahoo.com/news/the-many-looks-of-gaga-in-2014-photo-getty-105645288063.html

  35. This song has it all - it’s an amazing composition, the fans love it, the casual listeners/GP (who know about it) love it, even the metalheads love it… But it hasn’t charted higher…The issue is the bad timing of the release and promotion (plus overall general lack of promotion). And that’s not Gaga’s fault at all. Just so frustrated by so many of her team/Interscope’s decisions time and time again.

  38. It's not like that. If a song had already spent 20 weeks, it has to be atleast at 50th place. Disease had just spent 6 weeks so it can re-enter lower than #50.

  41. Honestly, let’s compare this to Born This Way. We get some really dark DARK pop songs throughout the tracklist, especially in the middle of the album with Scheibe, BM, HML, EC, etc., and then the album ends on a lighter note with some lovey-dovey, dreamier songs with The Queen, You and I, and The Edge of Glory. Y’all don’t sit there and complain about how that album is incoherent and a mess. Let Gaga be the most creative she has been in years AND a smart business woman. DWAS is becoming one of the most successful songs of all time right in front of our eyes. Any artist would add this to their record in some way. I still believe LG7 has the potential to be her best album ever, and this hasn’t changed that mindset one bit for me.
