  4. Let’s remember that some of our fav artists like Lana del Rey for example, never chart significantly and yet we love them and their music just the same and it doesn’t devalue their worth as a musician nor does it reflect the impact of their legacy

  5. Is anyone else confused and disappointed with the rollout of Disease? It's the lead single release off her highly anticipated next pop album and yet it's been so uneventful. Where are the performances, interviews, fashion etc? It'd be nice to have more content to go along with it as it's a great song and video. I just don't understand what she and her team are doing. Like not even any physicals? They've had nearly 5 years to plan this rollout. It's so hard being gaga fan sometimes. Coming off of chromatica that also had very little content, we wait years and years for this moment, she hypes us up all year and talks about "passion, creativity, a lot to come" etc and yet it leads such a lowkey release. Meanwhile she'll promote everything else properly like her movies, jazz albums, makeup etc. Maybe it's too early to judge and she'll promote all of next week but I see among the fans that hope is waning. Like we've already moved onto waiting for the second single and expect nothing until end of January? And before y'all come for my neck, no, she doesn't owe us anything, she can do what she wants blah blah blah but we as fans can still feel disappointed when such a big piece of who she is as an artist and what we enjoy the most is missing.

  7. Im so late to the party since I’ve been working so much lately…but I’ve been watching the Disease video and I can’t get the song out of my head. Anyway my flopped ass just noticed Gaga watching herself fight and struggling while sitting and standing on the background This masterpiece deserves more attention

  9. ??? Stupid Love went from 5 to 30 then bounced back to 25 then spent 10 weeks in the Top 40. Disease is going to fall out of the Hot 100 Top 40 after 1 week. How is it more acceptable?

  10. So dramatic and exaggerated. Even if you don’t like it, it is in no way “the worst movie ever”

  12. Comedian Tim Dillon, who has a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it role in “Joker: Folie à Deux” as an Arkham Asylum security guard, recently appeared on “The Joe Rogan Experience” and trashed Todd Phillips’ controversial “Joker” sequel as “the worst film that has ever been made.” The sequel earned mostly negative reviews and flopped at the box office with $58 million domestically and $204 million worldwide, a far cry from the 2019 original’s $1 billion gross. “It’s the worst film ever made,” Dillon said. “I think what happened, after the first ‘Joker,’ there was a lot of talk like, ‘Oh, this was loved by incels. This was loved by the wrong kinds of people. This sent the wrong kind of message. Male rage! Nihilism!’ All these think pieces. And then I think, ‘What if we went the other way,’ and now they have Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga tap dancing to a point where it’s insane.” “It has no plot,” he continued. “We would sit there, me and these other guys were all dressed in these security outfits because we’re working at the Arkham Asylum, and I would turn to one of them and we’d hear this crap and I’d go, ‘What the **** is this?’ And they’d go, ‘This is going to bomb, man.’ I go, ‘This is the worst thing I’ve ever seen.’ We were talking about it at lunch, and we’d go, ‘What is the plot? Is there a plot? I don’t know, I think he falls in love with her in the prison?’ It’s not even hate-watchable. That’s how terrible it is.” https://variety.com/2024/film/news/joker-2-actor-worst-film-ever-made-1236205294/

  16. The packaging for Mattel’s Wicked dolls mistakenly lists the URL of an adult entertainment site instead of the official domain for the film. Wicked, the new theatrical adaptation of the hit Broadway musical, is set to open in theaters worldwide on November 22nd. However, merchandise for the film, starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo as the witches Glinda and Elphaba, is already on sale, and some fans have spotted a major error on the packaging for Mattel’s dolls for the film. The back of the Mattel dolls’ packaging lists the website wicked.com. The issue? That domain belongs to an adult entertainment site, not the film’s official website, which is actually wickedmovie.com. Source

  19. I have the same feeling. I think it’s a buzz single. She wanted to release LG7 this year and they changed plans to next year but she wanted to keep her promise to give us something new this year and that’s “disease”.

  27. Not y'all doing this revisionist history bullsh*t by saying "Disease was actually never a great song. It's bad/average, that's why it's not doing well" Disease is her best lead single since Bad Romance; it's a great song and the music video is one of her best since her ARTPOP days. The song is also critically acclaimed, this isn't about the quality of the song. It's about the marketing and the lack of promo. I would like more promo, but crucify me—I don't really care at the same time. I still love the song and the video, and when more comes I'll enjoy that too. In the meantime, I'll continue listening to the song and keep being excited for LG7 in February. I'm sure we'll get another single by then too. The fact that it's not doing better on the charts isn't surprising. She's hardly promoted it and y'all aren't streaming it either, so what did you expect? Learn to enjoy the music cause it'd be awful if Gaga gave us the industrial/electronic/dance/dark pop album so many of you craved for years, only for y'all to trash it because it didn't hit some arbitrary number on the music charts that only chronically online stans care about.

  28. At this point, it’s Interscope and Gaga’s management team. Gaga needs to drop them NOW. Just look at the stellar rollout for DWAS, it couldn’t have been any more perfect. Even though they claim it was a team effort, we all know it was Bruno’s label that came with the ideas and pushed it.

  29. Because it's pretty average. Like we talk about how risky and unconventional it is. Meanwhile it's just a darker version of Stupid Love to me.

  30. This ! Like mainstream artist are sooo boring and are always playing it safe. Why are you all so obsessed with being the cool kids at the party ???? Maybe now we can finally let Gaga be the alternative artist she’s always been.

  31. The thing is, this couldve been a bigger hit only by releasing physical copies. The only reason it dropped on the first week from midweek prediction was because of Tyler album release which got plenty of streams but zero sales, so the physicals wouldve make up for it. Letting the song rot and do its thing its clearly not working, and Gaga sharing hundreds of tiktoks with the song on it aint promo for the song. We all knew it wasnt a great idea to release it on the last week of october but oh well. At least the music and the visuals for the MV are one of her best work in years.

  32. She's right, but it's sad that people who are supposed to be ARTISTS see music videos as nothing more than a way to make money, not as a way to give life to the song... Also this is another aspect of the music industry that Tiktok has ruined. Youtube is dying because of Tiktok.

  39. Hot100 prediction for this week: DWAS: #2 (=) Disease: #58 (-31) Absolutely sad that Disease, a highly anticipated Lead Single is free falling and no one on her team is doing anything about it. I get it that they may not be aiming for chart success, but if you wont do it for the charts, do something for the fans. A quite little interaction or promo towards engagement and fans will at least do something for the songs numbers, but nothing its been crickets after week one. At this rate Disease could leave the Hot100 entirely as early as next week if it keeps falling at this rate

  47. I always rolled my eyes when they tried to downplay Shallow’s success because Bradley Cooper was on it. Yeah cause people are just clamoring to hear Bradley sing. Sure, Jan. And even if Gaga really did depend on collaborations for hit singles, who cares? She’s an adept musician who works well with others; the idea that music must simply be a solitary act to be respected is ridiculous because it’s always been social. On a lighter note, I’ve been saying for years that her “holy trinity” (the three songs with the greatest combination of insane commercial success and cultural impact, that encapsulate the widespread acclaim of the artist) would have to be: 1. Poker Face 2. Bad Romance 3. Shallow Given the indomitable success of Die With A Smile, it may become a “Holy Quartet.” Or maybe those three will be the trinity still, and DWAS will be the Pope. What do we think, girls? Given time and building cultural impact, will DWAS firmly enter the highest tier of Gaga’s singles?

  48. I honestly think the original plans banked on JFAD being a massive blockbuster and when they saw the VFF critics reactions they hit the breaks knowing the film was a bust. Likely released the "lead" single to keep fans happy because can you imagine the meltdowns on this site if we sat through Harlequin & JFAD bombing and didn't have an October LG7 single to cling to? I feel like the actual commercial lead single will drop in January ahead of the album coming in February and that will be the proper start to the era - completely severed from JFAD.
