  1. She can’t just give a compliment without bringing someone else down?!

  2. “'Disease' is the next variant of her contagion. In tapping back into her roots, Gaga seems to have found pop renewal, amid a clanking, mechanised, tech-fuelled landscape. She might just be the chaotic cure.” — CLASH (9/10) “This the first glimpse of Gaga’s forthcoming seventh album and, if it’s anything to go by, the prognosis seems excellent. “Disease” is like a defibrillator to the chest, jolting us out of our stupor. Welcome back, Mother Monster.” — The Independent (4/5) ‘’This is a tune that will stay with you like a curse, in a good way. Disease has got wicked case of the earworms, burrowing their way into your brain after just one listen. Disease is a hit, and it’s unlikely we’ll be recovering before her new album finally drops in February 2025.’’ — Standard (5/5) ‘’A return to form, and to her classic sound’’ — The Guardian (4/5) ‘’Her versatility further solidifies as one of the most preeminent artists of the 21st century’’ — Emanfork (9/10) “The song is classic Gaga in the best way possible, marrying elements of pop, rock, dance and ragewith the star's signature lyrical ear-worms. Dare we say "Disease" is "Bad Romance's" edgier, (and more mature) big sister?” — Harper’s Bazaar “Just in time for Halloween, “Disease” finds Gaga falling back on some of the tricks from her early heyday—namely the macabre imagery and brash EDM stylings of 2009’s TFM and 2011’s BTW. It is driven by a heavy industrial beat and squelchy bassline with enough heft to support her characteristically bombastic performance.” — Slant Magazine — Allure 100/100 — Evening Standards 100/100 _________________________________________________ I was a bit bummed to open this site and see so many lackluster reactions to the song, I don’t mean to dismiss anyone’s opinion but I truly do feel like few artists are held at the impossible standard Gaga is held by her own fans. Everybody from fans on twitter, other fandoms and critics are inlove with the song, it seems like only some people on this site seem to feel somewhat unsatisfied. Sometimes I feel like even if we got actual Bad Romance 2.0 some fans wouldn’t be able to see it because it’s not Bad Romance 1.0. We need to let go of nostalgia, nobody treats Gaga more like a nostalgia act than her own fans. It’s sad, the song is fantastic, and I agree with the reviews, it’s a 9/10, a 4/5, it’s not absolute perfection but it doesn’t have to be, it’s fantastic enough, easily one of the best releases of this year! Hopefully some of you come around to loving the song, if not, hopefully the video or the next one will do it for you. Let’s be positive cause Gaga might actually visit this site and stream & buy so we can repay her efforts! 🖤

  3. Flying back for the last time. T'was a great 4 years. All the ups and downs. And for being a "friend" throughout the uncertain pandemic. I'll never forget you. Now on to the new era. LG7.

  8. Just piling on the sentimental stuff so many of us are feeling tonight I missed Gaga's height (TF/M and BTW) as anything but a casual fan. I remember bopping to Beautiful, Dirty, Rich and Boys Boys Boys in the school library with my then-besite/cover girlfriend but that was really the extent of it for a long time. It wasn't until she debuted Swine and matched the jagged edges of her broken heart with my own that I really clicked with her and I've been hooked ever since. ARTPOP was my LIFE. Cheek to Cheek was incredible. Til It Happens to You laid a hand on my shoulder and lifted me up when I needed it. AHS Season 5 was amazing. JOANNE REMAINS MY FAVORITE ALBUM AND I WON'T APOLOGIZE. She had me shook with her second peak in ASIB. But then...something changed? I didn't love Chromatica. Love For Sale, though it grew on me, was underwhelming at first. And I didn't have quite the obsession with House of Gucci. I was subconsciously, then openly, scared I was losing my love for Gaga. But honestly? Reflecting on it, that was just an incredibly rough time for me. My first real experience with major grief, constant 24/7 stress for over two years at least, depression unlike I've ever had, to the point that @ChicaSkas randomly messaging me one day stopped me from doing something quite...permanent...for the second time. Since then, I've had mid-ups and very low downs. But...I adored Joker: FAD on the first watch. Harlequin is phenomenal. Hell, the reason I made this thread is 'cause Happy Mistake made me cry AND DISEASE IS F*CKING AMAZING. Idk, there's just this overwhelming sense of relief. I actually love her work. I'm capable of loving her work in this moment. And I'm so goddamn excited for LG7. You never know how painful it is to turn into an empty shell of a person until you're full of emotions and joy again. I know another depressive episode will hit any day now but for now? I feel great. If you told me a decade ago that following the description in one of @Riley's studio versions would lead me to this cult site where my life would change forever. Where I'd find such incredible people that I'd become close friends with. Where I'd have a chance to peak behind the curtain at the inner workings of my favorite living artist. Where I'd find a way out of such a negative and dark place....I would have thought you were crazy. But here I am. And here we are Holy novel Tl;dr - Thanks for always being there. I promise I'll always be there when I'm able for any Monster that needs it. Paws up forever

  10. I know we always like to match the vibe with some of her previous work and that's fun but, let's be honest, in terms of genre/style/production/execution/vocals, it's NOTHING like what she has ever done before

  14. There are so many delicious things in this song that I wouldn't even know where to begin. The way she begins with a signature Gaga vowel vocalizing only to proceed to serve us the grittiest, rawest and most unfiltered vocals of her pop career. Her growling and screaming on this song... The quirky "aahs" and "ughs"... The savage and powerful chorus. And then that falsetto at the end? Bitch, please spare us. She absolutely and unquestionably ate with this song.

  21. I am in the very rare camp of people who became Gaga fans during the chromatica era. And because of that, I can never forget the significance it has had on my life. Here’s to a new era, But let’s never forget what was here before, helping us all dance in the rain.

  22. The way she actually sings those lines, it's quite impossible to think any other artist do it successfully. It's her signature delivery but pushed further, mature and evolved

  24. Also I have to say that I am so glad to get new Gar music (well, pop music) after almost 5 years. But at the same time it feels kinda weird, because it's the first time that my mom won't get bombarded by endless spamming from me when Gaga releases something. I am sure she would love this song as well as its vibe, given the fact that she was a huge BTW fan although her English wasn't at a level of understanding everything, but she ADORED Bloody Mary, and it went viral just one month after her passing. Funny how universe works ha! AAAAAANYWAYS, sorry for the trauma dumping, not here to make yall sad! 30 MINUTES LET'S GO

  27. I'm sorry you feel that way, but honestly, who cares about the charts and general public opinion? We don’t need mainstream approval to appreciate the song. It doesn’t have to be a #1 hit to prove it’s a great song! I hope the song grows on you.

  28. Ya'll I've been a Little Monster since 2008 before the term was even made by Gaga. I'm 34, feel old, past my twink phase, and now do backyard chicken content. I made a TikTok with audio including Disease. Gotta get Gaga out there. Check it out. I'm sure Gaga would find it funny. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTFVphb7o/ Help an expired twink out and push it out to anyone who cares to watch.
