  1. Lady Gaga's forthcoming single, "Disease," is a "return to form" for the pop star, a music insider teases to Page Six exclusively. "It's sonically reminiscent of her 'Born This Way' album. Think dark dance-pop," the source tells us, referencing Gaga's Grammy-nominated 2011 record that featured hits including its title track, "The Edge of Glory," "Marry the Night" and "Bloody Mary." We also hear that the "Disease" music video is "meticulously choreographed" in the same vein as 2009's "Bad Romance" and 2011's "Judas." SOURCE

  4. I feel like… for the past decade, after ARTPOP, she was scared or even ashamed to be a pop star? she was bullied by everyone back in 2011-2013 for being a weirdo, so I wouldn’t be surprised if The Chromatica Ball and the success of her earlier stuff on Tiktok reassured her believe that she was just misunderstood by the GP back then and that the younger audience of today is willing to embrace her “weirdness”!

  5. Perfect length if that’s true.

  6. If this is true, it means she probably saw the success of Judas/GH/Bloody Mary and ran with it.

  8. The most legit insider in the business he gave us the first look of Gaga's style in DWAS video, he also described Harlequin as a jazzy soul album. He is always right

  10. That feels correct. Death to 2 minute songs.

  11. she was ahead of her time indeed, unlike many of peers she wasn’t afraid to make pop music controversial and meaningful, so she had to pay the price for her boldness! and she was trying desperately to clean her image from 2016 to 2018 it feels that she kinda lost herself during that time… I don’t know, even Chromatica (while I love the album) to an extent felt more like a cosplay of who people believed Gaga was in her prime years. I’m just glad she’s feeling proud of her work again and I can’t wait for Friday.

  17. She's really giving the gays everything they want with this era For so long people have wanted her to return to "DarkGa" and be more experimental with her music, well...she's doing it now, and y'all better support the f*ck out of it! This is literally everything you wanted, so I better not see people complaining

  18. The fact that people now "celebrate" 3 minute songs, as "long-ish", speaks volumes about the current state of Pop Music, I can't . The bar is at Earth's inner core .

  20. My hope for DISEASE is that LMs won't flood social media with rants and meltdowns if it turns out not what was expected. We know how bad narratives can easily spread and sabotage projects. None of the "It's cute but..." "Not my cup of tea, but still supporting" either. First few days should be filled with excitement and unequivocal support. It's our sacred duty!!

  23. I believe with Gaga changing many ppl in her team she may have accidently removed the leaker too which is amazing! none of her new stuff is really leaking at all! the only thing that leaked was Mr.S leaking the single cover for Die with Smiling. That's it. Amazing. Congratulation to Gaga and her team

  32. Rob Halford (lead vocalist of Judas Priest) gave an interview recently and mentioned Gaga once again: https://www.houstonchronicle.com/entertainment/music/article/judas-priest-houston-rob-halford-sugar-land-show-19850240.php You've talked about being a fan of pop music. Who's currently on your playlist? Chappell (Roan) is amazing. I turned on to Gaga instantly. Her talent is just extraordinary. And she says she's a huge fan of Chappell. The way that the torch is passed from performer to performer, artist to artist, it's a beautiful thing to do. What's remarkable about people like Gaga or Taylor Swift is their longevity. They're called pop artists. Is that the right word to call them? I don't know. But pop, for as long as I can remember, for the most part, and don't get me wrong here, it's almost dispensable because there's so much of it. It's such a beautiful expression. It's like catching fireflies. Pop songs can be gigantic, and then you'll never hear them again. But then you'll get a Madonna or a Cher or a Gaga, or hopefully Chappell or a Taylor Swift. The way they craft their music, it becomes immortal. I'll still be banging my head to "Paparazzi" on my deathbed. I don't know whether it's because I'm a gay man and I just have this joy and love of all things creative and arts, I absorb it. I don't believe in barriers. I don't believe in walls. I don't believe in censorship. I think that all music is a feast. All of it touches me in various ways. And I translate all of that into my own work. He's mentioned being a fan before, so I dug out one of his books where he talks about meeting her I hope it's okay to post the excerpts, otherwise delete pls. They're a little long, so I put them in spoilers: The book is a great read, would definitely recommend if you're into the topic at all

  33. No. And he's not a random account, he's been on ATRL for a decade+ and has ties to people that work in music promotion (once radio, now streaming - and specifically spotify). He doesn't just tease Gaga stuff either, he gets info for pretty much all the major pop acts.

  34. Really not sur about that at all, « this » feels like he’s speaking about the songs in the dream, in the quoted post. I really think people have to be careful with this, I want to be hyped but I have doubts he spoke about Disease here.

  35. Had to check myself because the hiding of the original message was suspicious. Mr. S is very intentional with what and when he posts, so he's definitely describing "Disease" here. If not, he's calling Government Hooker and Scheiße "cheap electric dance pop", which wouldn't make sense because those songs are not that in any universe. The context is that he's basically reassuring the original poster than their dream/nightmare about the song isn't true because it in fact sounds like Government Hooker and Scheiße.
