He was suffering absolutely but he was also an abuser with more coming to light in the past month. It’s just an odd effect that people tend to absolve blame of past wrongdoings when the person dies. Him dying tragically does not erase his abuse towards his ex-fiance and it should still be talked about, but he did not deserve death like this. People don’t appreciate a nuance to the situation it’s always somehow black and white.

I dunno about you guys, but I remember watching this at 3am in the UK and being GAGged when I watched it live. I remember living for this at the time as it was something I never heard from her before (even though I always knew how much of an incredible singer she is). I watched the amazing performances of Hair (Howard Stern), Marry The Night (X Factor UK 2011) and The Edge of Glory (acoustic Radio in the Park 2011) but nothing like this leading up to 2015. I feel like this truly changed her trajectory as a singer.

Reading the poem after Joanne (2016) came out, it’s touching to realise the song was directly inspired by this poem, especially the “where do you think you’re going” part, along with “honestly I know where you’re going”. It’s also interesting that the poem echoes Gaga’s own journey of being lost after the Def Jam debacle and finally knowing where she was going with the release of her legendary debut album

Gaga has made promises and broken them in the past but honestly it has been a while since that last happened (I would say 2013-ish, maybe 2017 because of JWT film but I don't blame her for that), and nowadays she doesn't tease projects or post stuff without knowing 100% they're locked in, officially coming. Even Chromatica Ball film, which took almost 2 years, finally came one day. So if I were you, I wouldn't be bothered. I trust Gaga's word. When she tells us something is coming, I believe it. It's normal to get anxious when your favorite artist is about to release new music, so just relax. It's definetly coming out next friday.

Tbh I don’t really get why so many people are worried that the song isn’t coming anymore, we still have almost half the month left after all. I always assumed it was coming out at the end of the month after the buzz from the movie turned down, and even though the movie was poorly received, I don’t think that’ll impede on her other plans. The first single for this album has been in the works for a while, and she confirmed an October release back in September. I’m sure that if the date was pushed back, she’d let us know

Gotta say. Moments like this really crystalise how much I hate the way people interact with celebrities.
