  1. Former One Direction singer Liam Payne died outside a hotel in the Argentine capital Buenos Aires, local media reported on Wednesday, saying the 31-year-old British musician was found dead after falling from the hotel's third floor. Citing officials, leading local newspapers La Nacion and Clarin reported that police were called to the hotel in the capital's leafy Palermo neighborhood responding to an emergency call that cited "an aggressive man who could be under the effects of drugs and alcohol." Ambulance workers later confirmed the death of the singer, who was found in an interior hotel patio, according to the news reports. reuters

  9. Claiming she's being erased is significantly over dramatic. This is why if you're going to do a homage for the purposes of money making from a product with a dedicated fanbase you either do it faithfully or not at all. Because the fanbase will be angry if you half arse it. And that post is half arsed.

  12. She added a word in the song which I thought was always amazing "Gravity can't begin To pull me back to the ground" listen to the demo, she added "again" which is mindblowing. She also took the bridge out and just did the opera party demo: he also revealed that 2nd verse of Rihanna’s SOS are '80s song titles

  22. I know many One Direction and pop music fans will be deeply shaken and heartbroken by this tragedy. It's hard to comprehend such news, and it's okay to feel overwhelmed or stunned by the shock. In moments like these, it's important to take care of yourselves. Stay present in your body and allow art and music to guide you through this time—let them be your refuge rather than getting lost in the constant churn of craziness on X and news updates. Liam had long battled with his own demons, and though he struggled with substance abuse and mental health challenges, it’s crucial that we remember him for the light and joy he brought to millions of lives. Let’s honor his memory by focusing on the happiness he inspired and resisting the pull to absorb the darkness that surrounded his life. Take a moment for yourself, breathe, and find comfort in the beauty he left behind.

  23. i really dont care if she writes her own music. her music is stellar and theres still absolutely a skill in selecting the countless incredible songs she has in her discography. nobody really says anything about (to name a few) celine dion, britney, cher, even kylie to an extent not writing the majority of their discography so i've never understood why beyonces the outlier frankly id appreciate if sometimes singers didnt write their own stuff

  24. I still see her dropping late October, but then going silent during the election and then coming back later in November or December to promote LG7 more. It might be wise considering LG7 might have a more "niche" sound than Joanne or Chromatica did – this allows it time to gain popularity via monsters and pop fans on social media rather than her team over-promoting it. I feel the culture doesn't respond well to that anymore, it's viewed as inorganic. I don't think Gaga cares about a #1 anymore and neither does her team... several of her deep cuts have gained traction a decade later than they were released, so I could see them leaning into a more "niche" or "alt" lead and letting the recognition come later when the full album is released. My Gaga senses tell me this one is for the fans. Confused as to why this fandom is so desperate for her to chart well – she is one of the most respected and successful artists of our time regardless of chart performance. And it seems her film career's general success will allow her to go more experimental this time around, at least based on the Paris snippets. You can't beg Gaga for more experimental music and then worry about chart performance at the same time...do you want her to be a huge pop success this time around, or do you want her to be Gaga? *queues Replay*

  26. I'm gonna decide to believe some of you weren't around during ARTPOP era because you are making all of this Joker hate seem worse than it is. Trust me, it's fine, Gaga is fine and unbothered by all of this. Her music career is more than safe. The GP doesn't give a s* about her Insta comments being flooded by incels and bots. And she's currently the 4th most streamed artist on Spotify ahead of kicking off the LG7 era in one week.

  32. She probably gets credits on all her songs this way lol, by adding a word or adding harmonies (which singers can get writing credits for, yup). Yet her fans still believe she writes, composes, produces all her songs herself and is some kind of music genius

  44. I recall seeing her preform in the revival of The Color Purple. Her character's appearance, or lack of "beauty," was heavily criticized in the show as the book/script calls for - anyway, at the stage door a fan next to me took the time to tell Cynthia how beautiful she was, and Cynthia was moved to tears. It made me wonder if she didn't believe it herself, but not here to psychoanalyze either. Having witnessing that, though, I can see why "hiding" her face may not be something she takes lightly. I'd like to imagine I'd brush it off as most other commentators here as I agree the intent is pretty clear, but her strong response here made me think of that moment.
