  1. Let's get serious... There's no way in the world Gaga wouldn't know her screen time in this movie. Or the fact that maybe it's not such a good movie. Or that she simply wouldn't be the main character. Releasing Harlequin was her way of making the most of this era, her character. She took the whole situation in her hands and created something that's really a good project. An amazing one. You may call it a damage control in her legacy but I'm thinking that she didn't feel like she made the most of Joker proiect after seeing some of the final cuts. I just love this album, it's simply very good. I think people will appreciate it more with time

  2. Flop this, flop that. Bitter critics here, sad dc fanboys there. 1st movie bla bla, budget bla bla. Congrats #1 Box Office Hitter Lady Gaga on your biggest opening weekend ever. NEW UPDATE: "Joker: Folie à Deux" managed to hit #1 in 31 countries including China & Japan, it also achieved 2 weekends at #1 in 8 countries. Data as of 10/22 via Box Office Mojo. Also, currently, it's the #1 highest grossing musical film of the year. #Wicked is predicted to become #1 at the end of the year. It actually became #1 musical few days ago already, i just waited til now to post it. Congrats truly Gaga. LG7 next.

  5. y’all really want Gaga to star in the most boring ass movies just to brag about its success on the internet? at least Joker was a risk, a fun character to explore, not everyone has the guts to do it. :)))(

  7. Everyone screaming at her to get better PR and a better team to navigate her insane rise to fame are now laughing at her and saying she's just torpedoed her career for doing exactly that. I'm fully convinced that some just want to hate her at this point

  10. Seems like the Richie firing rumors are true! Asiel, iconic Gaga dancer, has posted a video throwback to the 2013 AMAs with Gaga. Some comments asked if he was back to working with her, and he liked those comments. https://www.instagram.com/p/DAjj199v_6N/?hl=en He had previously stated he would only return if Richie, the 'gate-keeper,' left. https://x.com/khageesi/status/1768960672304332854

  15. What, she didn't even post about it - it was the recipient. Taylor doesn't need to make charitable donations for PR, she is doing more than fine commercially even with messy public relationships, the jet controversies and overexposure. And sorry to drag but 5 million isn't pocket change even for a billionaire. Honestly the Taylor hate on this forum is a little off-putting. This is not the ethos Gaga would want to promote.

  17. Did anyone else watch this? I just saw it last night with my girlfriend and my jaw dropped at how shocking and messed up it was. The theatre was full and everyone was glued to the screen for the entire 2 hours and 20 minutes runtime. Several people left because of how disturbing it was and there were a lot of screams, gasps, laughs, and moments of dead silence as well. When it ended, everyone was in disbelief at what they saw. The Substance is a masterpiece and it will leave you shaken to the core for days. It touches on issues like aging, media, celebrity worship, hustle culture, addiction, nature vs science, and beauty standards. I think we'll all be able to relate to it in some way. I definitely see this getting Oscar nominations for best picture, acting, makeup, sound, and cinematography. This underdog of a film deserves so much more recognition so I wanted to shamelessly recommend this to you all, but be warned - there is A LOT of nudity, blood, and gore. The trailer doesn't show what your in for - it's going to get so much more worse by the end.

  20. Hello Liddos Now that J:FAD is out and the dust has settled, I figured it was a good time to give y'all a pep talk from the perspective of a geriatric day one monster For a lot of you it's likely upsetting to see the movie perform so poorly, but trust me when I say this: Gaga's been through worse. Yet again we have a blockbuster film that based all of it's marketing on Gaga, including fully cut scenes used in both trailers and posters - just like House of Gucci. Gar showed up, did her job, got paid and then clearly made supplemental material (Harlequin) after she saw that final cut to help soften the blow to her fans. I'm absolutely positive that the big takeaway from this experience for both Gaga and her team is that she needs a true solo role in her next film, and likely a female or queer director as well. She'll get that Oscar eventually. If anything we should be applauding her efforts and be proud that our fave cares that much about her creative output. Instead of calling Todd out on his terrible script/edit, she just added more to the pot to make sure we saw the essence of Lee that she worked so hard on realizing. As usual she's navigated this like a class act and will likely move past this completely unscathed. I have lived through Penis Gate, Perez Hilton, Hip Gate, ARTPOP, Swine Puke Fest... we've been in the trenches for SO MUCH WORSE than an underperforming film where the only universally praised aspect is Gaga's acting. Trust me - she's gonna be fine All that being said, we're officially on the eve of potentially her greatest solo release of her career. Now is the time to hype up and get excited about where we're going, and not waste any more energy on Todd Phillips' creative failure. We've all been waiting for this album for so long, so perhaps it's time to shift gears as a fandom and start hyping everyone up for this. Let's get to work, f-words (and f-word adjacents!) ARE WE CLEAR?

  34. A topic very near and dear to my collecting heart is wheatpaste posters! As many of you know I've been collecting them and ripping them off walls with boxcutters since 2011 and lo and behold, someone APPROVES OF THIS BEHAVIOUR Yesterday, Gaga (who seems to be spending loads of time on TikTok) was caught liking this post: https://x.com/babsdoeslife/status/1842795960654868778 Comments like *this* one make my heart soar, because it shows that the hobby is spreading to other little monsters! For the record, I just did this for my friend Bay in Los Angeles last month for GagaMars: I am so proud of these kids. Get out there and GET THAT PROMO PS: If you want to see almost my entire Gaga wheatpaste collection, I've made a Twitter thread here: https://x.com/ChicaSkas/status/1843088278574264435

No one is perfect and she has some questionable actions like any other person but when things count and matter the most, she always shows up, more so than most artists, that’s why she’ll always have my respect.
