The atrl legit insider said this just four minutes ago: "This album is pretty much jazz, soul, doo-***, very theatrical and musical." here is his post: https://ibb.co/TYGt0PX36 points

It feels so surreal to listen to her say her single and albums are coming out36 points

It’s baffling how bratty some of us can be, always finding something to complain about, always dragging her down. People are riled up over an album we didn’t even know existed two days ago, and now there’s endless chatter about whether x overshadows z—completely unnecessary chart talk from the most conservative, rigid perspectives. It’s just music. Enjoy it, or don’t. Move on. Constructive criticism has its place, but how about we hear the work first? Let’s see where this goes. I couldn’t be more thrilled that she’s taking bold, confident steps with her music. She radiates strength, creativity, and ease, making her moves feel both spontaneous and meticulously planned. And if all goes down, so what? Grab a book, discover a new artist, go back to your favorite Gaga songs… There are million things you can commit to, instead of using energy for hyperboles. I enjoy this forum so much when it is filled with thoughtful criticism, humor and intelligence. How can we sustain a healthy online platform? I just don't want this forum to become X. Do you have any suggestions? Or is this just how things are now?36 points

Wow. LOVE this. Before she starts belting, she sounds a bit like Taylor Swift. I know this forum likes to drag TS but I think Gaga has been inspired by her recently. Particularly inspired by her decision to release a lot of music at the same time and throw out the usual rules of being an A-list pop artist.23 points

She clearly knew long term Katy wasn’t a threat, hence her treatment of Gaga I guess.22 points

Can't believe I got invited and managed to RSVP... I've never been to something like this before so have no idea what to expect. I'm so excited!22 points

THE GASP I just had right now. How could you say something like that? Gaga's been throwing out the usual rules of being an A-list pop artist since 2008.22 points

i feel like this is about to be one of her most unique and truly creative projects we've ever gotten from her i'm genuinely so emotional over this, you can tell how happy she is speaking about it and how excited she is to share it with the world. makes me so happy to see Gaga so happy :')20 points

Honestly, she could've just sung a jazz cover of 'The Joker' or 'Smile' at Jazz & Piano, released a recorded version of that as a little extra promo and called it a day. But no, she's giving us a full album with promo in collaboration with the ****ing Louvre and some are still complaining that it's not dark pop. Let the woman do what she wants, we should be lucky that she still keeps on recording music as she was at several points where she contemplated quitting. Jesus.20 points

She really said: you’ll get LG7 lead soon, but not before suffering through more jazz covers in addition to the ones already in the movie20 points

I think WB's going to wait until the movie releases to see the response before they actively campaign for her. If it gets a mostly positive reception, they might be confident to campaign for a lead role, but if not, they might go supporting. Regardless, the consensus is that Gaga's performance is stellar. Even among critics who didn't care for the film, they all praised Gaga's work.19 points

Phillips says Gaga “100 percent” gave Phoenix pointers on set, and that “he was sick every day” with nerves over those portions of production. The director says Phoenix had to sing with Gaga as early as nine days into the lengthy shoot, but the place the duo got to was magic to witness. “The truth is, they gave each other pointers. He’d give her pointers about acting; she’s been in movies, but he’s Joaquin Phoenix. She gave him tips about music because she’s Lady Gaga. It’s what movies should be: a giant collaboration,” says Phillips, adding that Phoenix’s notes to Gaga were far less obvious, and sometimes expressed only through “being really generous” with his vulnerability in a scene, whereas “her notes would be a little more specific because it’s like, you’re not hitting the note there. It’s different. There’s less room for interpretation,” he finishes. “I got a little heat for saying it’s not really a musical. I wasn’t saying that because I’m afraid of the term, ‘musical.’ I love musicals, and the movie definitely has music in it. It might even be a musical,” Phillips says. “To clarify, most of the times I’ve ever seen a musical, I walk out feeling better than I did when I walked in. On this movie, I’m not sure it’s the same thing. I wouldn’t want to be misleading and say you’re going to be whistling the songs from this movie on the way to your car after you see it." https://ew.com/joker-2-preview-joaquin-phoenix-nervous-live-singing-lady-Gaga-871777619 points
