  1. https://www.instagram.com/p/C_iA2ifxxsY/?igsh=MWxpa3BvM2p2bTRqZQ Vogue article here EDIT: i haven’t started a new thread in so long, i forgot how to embed through phone Gaga has spent the better part of 2024 here, recording both a surprise project and a new pop record she has taken to calling LG7, which comes out in February. (She will release its first single in October.) She does not want to say too much about the new record other than to tell me that it was her fiancé's idea. "Michael is the person who told me to make a new pop record. He was like, 'Babe. I love you. You need to make pop music.' " Says Polansky: "Like anyone would do for the person they love, I encouraged her to lean in to the joy of it. On the Chromatica tour, I saw a fire in her; I wanted to help her keep that alive all the time and just start making music that made her happy." At one point, we get into a conversation about her own recent fanaticism. She rattles off a list: Charli XCX, Chappell Roan, Billie Eilish. "I mean, I really love them. I go on the internet and, like, cry. And I love Taylor Swift too. And Kesha. I watch it all, and I'm like: Yup. Go! Just Go." Here, her voice cracks and her eyes well up with tears. "I'm not only cheering them on, I want them to know that my heart is in it with them. And I want them all to feel really happy." I am strangely moved. "Sorry!" she shouts through a laugh as I hand her a tissue. I get it, I say. She stares at me for a second, blinks a couple of times, and says, "You and I getting together is really important."

  2. Once again we're winning https://www.vogue.com/article/lady-Gaga-october-2024-cover-interview INTERVIEW HIGHLIGHTS : - LG7 in February + Tease to a surprise project: "Gaga has spent the better part of 2024 here, recording both a surprise project and a new pop record she has taken to calling LG7, which comes out in February. (She will release its first single in October.) [...] She does eventually play some music for me [...] She queues up a song from her new pop record. It’s intense and ominous—an old-school Gaga banger, unsettling but also buoyant. She does not want to say too much about the new record other than to tell me that it was her fiancé’s idea. “Michael is the person who told me to make a new pop record. He was like, ‘Babe. I love you. You need to make pop music.’ ” Says Polansky: “Like anyone would do for the person they love, I encouraged her to lean in to the joy of it. On the Chromatica tour, I saw a fire in her; I wanted to help her keep that alive all the time and just start making music that made her happy.” [...] Gaga: "I feel like this new album, in a lot of ways, is about that time but from a place of happiness instead of misery"; - Gaga on Chappel Roan, Charli XCX, Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift and Kesha: "At one point, we get into a conversation about her own recent fanaticism. She rattles off a list: Charli XCX, Chappell Roan, Billie Eilish. “I mean, I really love them. I go on the internet and, like, cry. And I love Taylor Swift too. And Kesha. I watch it all, and I’m like: Yup. Go! Just Go.” Here, her voice cracks and her eyes well up with tears. “I’m not only cheering them on, I want them to know that my heart is in it with them. And I want them all to feel really happy.” I am strangely moved. “Sorry!” she shouts through a laugh as I hand her a tissue. I get it, I say. She stares at me for a second, blinks a couple of times, and says, “You and I getting together is really important.” "; - Gaga on her engagement with Michael Polansky:“My mom met him and she said to me, ‘I think I just met your husband,’ and I said, ‘I’m not ready to meet my husband!’ I could never have imagined that my mom…found the most perfect person for me?” [...] "what I want my fans to know is that I’m just, like, so happy. I’m healthy. I feel like the last time they heard from me—in this way—was Chromatica, and that album was about an absolutely horrible time for me with my mental health. I was in a really dark place. I struggled for, like, many years before that. But everything started to change. Because I had a real friend who saw the ways in which I was unhappy and why. And he wasn’t afraid to truly hold my hand. And get to know me. On a very deep level" [...] "And now, Michael and I are really excited to organize our lives—and our marriage—around our creative output as a couple" - Gaga on her life-career balancing: "“For a long time, for most of my career,” she says, “my life was controlled by this business: what people wanted from me; what they hoped I could achieve; how to keep me going. And that can be a lot of pressure and it’s scary. But I feel like I’m finally coming out on the other side". - Stefani talks about Gaga : "INTERVIEWER: Is it all fantasy? Is Lady Gaga…a persona?" Gaga: “Man. That’s a big question. You know it’s not a persona. It’s not. I am all of these things. The person that I am when I’m onstage in front of 85,000 people? That is also me. That’s like one of the freedoms of my relationship with Michael. It feels really nice to have someone value you whether there’s 85,000 people watching or…the dogs. To see the whole you. And Lady Gaga is the whole me.There was a time in my career when I…. Look….”—she cocks an eyebrow and slips into a self mocking tone—“where I spoke in an accent in interviews or told lies, but I was performing. Now, it’s a much more palatable mixture of authenticity and imagination. I feel like the world, to a fault, operates in these binaries: You’re either real or you’re fake; you’re authentic or you’re shallow. But for me, I played a lot with artifice. I was fascinated with artifice, really, truly fascinated with it as an artistic tool. I still am. But my relationship to myself as an artist now is more empowered: This is me. This. Is. Me. It’s too…complicated to split yourself in two and have to turn it off and on. It’s so much more empowering to be like, I’m a woman and I’m super complex. Michael said to me once, ‘I will know that you’re really feeling great when you know that you have you.’ I used to always be like, But who’s gonna have my back?! And now I’m like, I’ve got my back.”

I feel like this new album, in a lot of ways, is about that time but from a place of happiness instead of misery. And now, Michael and I are really excited to organize our lives—and our marriage—around our creative output as a couple.” She shoots me a look. “Which is really different than, like, doing what other people want you to do.”"

  10. Hey everybody, I took some time this morning to write about my experience at the Venice Film Festival 2024. Hope you’ll enjoy. DISCLAIMER: PARAGRAPH 6 CONTAINS SPOILERS OF JOKER FAD. I want to start this post by saying that last night was truly magical. I went to the festival with my mom, who wished to see Gaga so much. So, skipping the part about the sightseeing we had around the city of Venice, which included a fun moment we had outside of Gaga’s hotel (you can read about that here under here), we went to Lido di Venezia, which is where the Festival is held, with a vaporetto (a water bus). Anyway, at around 6:15 pm, some celebs were already coming, but it was pretty clear that 90% of the people were waiting for Gaga. At around 6:35 pm, things started to intensify, you could just sense it. At that point we went into Palazzo del Cinema, which is the building that holds the Sala Grande, where JFAD was projected. It was our first time at this festival and we were advised to go in and see Gaga on the inner part of the red carpet. At around 6:45 pm we suddenly heard people screaming and chanting from outside, so at that point it was pretty clear she had arrived. Todd and Joaquin were also there and I loved to see she came with Michael. They’re just so cute together, I love them. So we waited and waited and after about 15 minutes, she finally entered the building. OMG there’s always something about her that’s just so magnetic! It always feels like a goddess just entered the room. She looked so beautiful and happy. The outfit screamed JFAD era/PRE-LG7 era from every angle. It was my mum’s first time seeing her and she couldn’t believe it, she was so excited and she cound’t stop screaming “Gaga”. She also said Gaga’s skin looks like porcelain and that she’s incredibly beautiful. At this point we could finally take a breath and relax a little, while entering this HUGE theater room. It holds 1000+ people and is stunning. A couple of minutes later, Gaga entered the balcony of the room, with the rest of the cast, the director, friends & family and probably some critics. And so again, applause, screams, chants. When people were calming down and the film was just about to start, a boy (I think) screamed “TI AMO Gaga” in a very Born This Way coded way and it was so funny, she laughed (and thanked), everybody laughed, but it was also so nice of him. About the movie, what can I say? It was amazing. For the people who didn’t like it, I understand this is a different take on Arthur/Joker’s story, but in my opinion it’s a stunning and deserved sequel to the first movie. It’s an introspective journey and it covers some of Arthur’s childhood trauma to justify why he had to create an alter-ego within himself, who then led to the crimes. I wish it was a bit longer, it feels like it needs a little more time to evolve in some istances and in the love story with Lee, but I enjoyed it anyway. The story evolves around two main points: Arthur’s trial and meeting Harley. We still don’t know if Lee is part of his immagination of if she’s part of reality. Yes, there are parts where she’s alone or interacting with somebody else (not Arthur) but still, you keep wondering: “Is he imagining she’s doing this for him in some places or is she actually doing this?”. The musical parts were a little more reserved and intimate at the beginning. Like: ok, now they are casually whistling while they treat Arkham’s people like sh*t, now they are doing a singing lesson in another room, now he’s with Lee and she’s singing/whispering and it moves him into following her in the song. Then, the more the film evolves, the more the musical parts become more obvious. But it’s different from everything I’ve seen. Don’t expect your Mamma Mia style of musical. It’s nothing like that. Before I watched this movie I kept thinking how could you merge a very dark theme with a musical style film, but the result was incredible! Look, the musical parts are just too good. A couple of them were just so good that I wanted to raise my hands to clap, so that Todd, Gaga and Joaquin would see, but, you know, I didn’t want to be that person. The music, the colors, the style, the gloominess of it, everything was just phenomenal. And usually I don’t even like musicals! I don’t think Gaga had too little screen time, but yes, it surely wasn’t a lot and it definitely should have been much more, because she’s just too good of an actress. She’s SO good. I was emotionally moved by how good she is at acting. So yeah this is what I would say for now about the film. It was surreal knowing I was watching a film with the cast behind me. I think I looked behind me a couple of times to see Gaga and it was just so crazy to see her there and to be watching the same thing! To this moment I still can’t believe it! So surreal, wow. So then at the end of the film, as you probably read, the standing ovation and the applause lasted for 11 minutes. And some people complain about it being too little😂 I mean Joaquin even left the room early and during the applause. So you know, it’s good that the applause went on even after he left the room. We then left Palazzo del Cinema, we took our vaporetto back to Venezia and that’s pretty much it. Again, this night was just so fantastic and surreal. We felt part of something very big and important. I love cinema and sharing such an experience with my mum and Gaga filled me with so much joy. It was a long post but I hope you enjoyed it.

  11. A tip from Gaga herself: radical acceptance the dates are set, that's it, I'm not worried about the music commercially, couldn't give a damn. Let's just enjoy the music instead of worrying about roll out, charts and public reception. We are the public and we will receive it very well.

  13. If the bullying doesn't stop, I'm locking this thread. We mods have gotten info direct from Bobby before that didn't pan out the way it was meant to. It doesn't matter if Bling's source was "a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend of Gaga's new Barista who saw an LG7 related text while peeking at Gaga's phone on the counter one morning" or Lady Gaga herself. Sh*t happens. Time tables change. We've seen this woman shift entire PR routes mid-era half a dozen times now. When you believe info that isn't part of an intentional and direct announcement by Lady Gaga, you accept the disappointment. That's on you and nobody else. To spend all this energy hating on someone in the community who shared what they were told in good faith just to get everybody excited about new music, especially spending this energy after we now have confirmed release months for both the lead single and the album, is all ridiculous, ignorant, and unacceptable. Tl;dr - if you can't play nice, you can't keep your toys. You want hype threads? Don't slap people down who hype you in good faith.

  15. Bling it’s a discussion board, people are allowed to point out the flaws or contradictions in information that’s released and it’s not unkind or negative of them to do so. In my opinion, the information your source gave was either vague, contradictory, wrong or guessable (truly anyone could guess that she’d be on magazine covers to promote her high profile projects and that it would be a busy 2 weeks when she’s premiering a massive movie). There’s no evidence whatsoever that those posts from YT or Vogue were paid and it’s a stretch to suggest that. They have their own engagement targets - tweeting about LG is guaranteed interaction. I completely respect that you’ve put yourself out there and aren’t hiding, but based on the official information we have at this particular moment, it just seems like your source was dodgy and you’re retroactively trying to make the events of the last few weeks fit. I appreciate the sentiment behind “it’s just pop music” but it does feel somewhat patronising. It’s a bit annoying to hype people up with information, tease the reveal of it for days, and then brush it off with this response when you get comments questioning your source. Poking holes in “insider” information isn’t dragging you, and it doesn’t mean people are chasing empty validation. The same way teasing that you have access to an inside source and asking people to tune in to a podcast to hear it doesn’t mean that you’re chasing validation either 😉 In all seriousness, it’s hard to get tone of voice across in a written message and I’m genuinely not coming for you, but I do think some of your points needed a response. Again, respect for putting yourself out there and being willing to be wrong. Some of us have lived through so many “insiders” at this point that we just have a really high threshold for believability, it’s not necessarily an issue with you personally. Anyone who survived the trauma of ‘aftentis’ is scarred for life I think

  20. Incorrect Still don't understand why anyone is afraid to @ me, but anyways Well we got 2 of the 4 magazine covers! In all seriousness, I'm as shocked as everyone but of course, there's some disbelief. For some reason I think something else is coming before I'm very confused at the moment but I'm not going to run and hide or delete my account, I'm here to stay. As promised, I will be posting screenshots of info I received, including the 2020 Chromatica era info that checked out. It's quite odd to me that my info matched with so many other people that I had not spoken with prior (BH, BlueFire, Supervillain, LykkiLi, etc) so I'm interested to see how the next few months play out. While the info I received was correct about many things, including the 2 week period where we received confirmation of LG7 from others, leaks and copyright takedowns, paid posts from Vogue and YT Music, the LG7 lead release date from Gaga herself, and perhaps more LG7 info that we won't know until the album is released, it's clear they were wrong about the album release date (as were many others who spilled info) I believed the info provided to me based on previous era's info being correct as I saw screenshotted texts with dates and era claims before they happened. I know how disheartening and frustrating it is to be wrong or receive incorrect "tea" regarding your favorite's upcoming music release. I'm genuinely very annoyed that we allegedly won't be listening to the new album (that she teased in MAY) for another 5 months, that's wild to me. But at the end of the day, I'm just another fan, like any of you, that got tired of waiting and was in search of the truth. The empty validation received by those who drag me will be shortlived, and they will have to find other means to spread their negativity, whether it be on the Internet or in their "real" lives. I said from the very beginning to "believe what you want" but I also take full responsibility for anyone who is disappointed right now based on what I said. I'm owning up to that and I am genuinely sorry. Trust me, I run a discord and co-host a podcast which were spawned upon the belief that the album was coming soon. I showed my face online and took a chance based on faith. I'm also extremely disappointed, just like many of you. I do think we should stay tuned and see what this surprise project is... As always, thanks everyone for your support and remember: At the end of the day, it's just pop music - it's not that serious

  29. For anyone who cares or possibly thinks these mixed reviews might hurt Gaga's career? I work in Hollywood. Please remember that movies are NOT like music. So many great movies get mixed reviews. So many great performance happen in otherwise mid movies. (HOG for one!). So this is truly no big deal. But let's say this film "flops" (it won't). Gaga will not take any blame. Todd Phillips will for sure. Phoenix to a much lesser extent. But not Gaga. This isn't a "Lady Gaga" movie. It's a huge sequel that Gaga is in. It's also very much a "director's" vehicle instead of an "actor's" vehicle. It's really a win/win for her: She will get credit if it does well. She won't if it doesn't - especially because not one "bad" review targets her as the problem. This will no doubt be another notch in Gaga's acting belt. Even if the film continues to get mixed reviews. Her acting career, as of right now, is untouchable. Everyone wants to work with her. I know this first hand. And whether Joker 2 makes 2 billion or 200 million or 20 million? It won't change that. She has another three projects (or so) before she will start to get blamed if her movies tank. And, again, I HIGHLY doubt Joker 2 tanks. At all. Just some food for thought. Go stream DWAS!

  31. May I just say, what a lovely interview People call her pretentious, or just a musical theater kid, or whatever, but I still love the way she explains things. I've been reading her explaining who Lady Gaga is since 2009, and I am still mesmerized by it. She's been saying "Lady Gaga is part of me, it's not a persona" for so long, but every time it sounds diferent and more and more self-realized. Fascinating! I love this woman

You’re entitled to your opinion but I strongly disagree, this is the music business, plans change, dates get shifted, we have a single coming next month and then a full, complete album rollout like she planned but couldn’t do for chromatica! I don’t care if I have to wait a few months, we get to savor this new era that’s starting in a matter of a few weeks!! Hope you’re able to find that hype again. Our favorite artist is Happy, enjoying her life, being unbelievably creative, and one by one revealing her creations with us. DWAS, Joker, and a lead single within a matter of two months, all leading to what we know is going to be her most creatively free work in years, if not in her entire career! Idk, I think that’s worth being pretty damn hyped about
