I think the big misconception from your post is the idea that she's changing sounds depending on audience and critical reception. In the same way she changes her appearance all the time, she enjoys experimenting with different genres, not because of how it will be received, but because she wants to. In the same way Charli or Lana have consistency in their careers, change is Gaga's constant. None of these 3 women give a ****, and that translates in different ways. You also have to remember that when The Fame came out, dance pop wasn't trendy at all, but she stuck with it and the industry did catch up eventually.

There's also a Katy side to that discussion Gaga is far too versatile and enamored with many genres to commit to only synthpop. And I personally love her for that

Okay, so delusion is taking over me and it got me thinking, bear with me... Back in 2020 she teased the new Haus Labs pink matte lipstick with a photoshoot where she had pink hair on february 13, 2020 (hinting at Chromatica's aesthetic and overall concept look). Then, Stupid Love was announced february 25, 2020 and it was released on february 28. Almost two weeks between the Haus Labs post and Chromatica's lead single. The last time she posted a Haus Labs promotional pic on her account was on august, 2023. A year ago! I think there's significance to this. I believe she timed this HL post previous to the announcement of LG7's lead single so that people would see she's also got new make up coming when they go to her accounts. I'm actually starting to think we might be getting the announcement tomorrow and the single next friday!!!

My mom works at Haus Labs news: so basically Gaga was editing the HL video herself with the editing skill she got from doing GCB but she realized she used the wrong audio (stupid_love_demo.mp3 instead of notorious_being_instrumental.mp3) so now she has to do everything all over again, hence the delay.
