What’s REALLY exciting is Francine Maisler is the casting director for Denis Villeneuve, Damien Chazelle, Luca Guadagnino, Adam McKay, Steve McQueen, Alex Garland, Aaron Sorkin, Jeff Nichols and more- very important directors of today. Francine is right that A Star Is Born is in Gaga’s wheelhouse [as well as House of Gucci], she can play those characters, as there’s a bit of semblance of Gaga within. The “a-ha!” moment that Gaga is a very strong actress and has it within her to pull an incredible performance outside her wheelhouse opens SO many doors for her future roles.
